  1. No, just episode one (Brad was the missing one then) where he wore some notable socks, if I remember correctly. Will be good to see Brad next, thanks for the heads up @illdoc.
  2. Exactly. Same here. I read "Misty of Chincoteague" when I was old enough to hold a book, rode Chincoteague ponies as a kid, visited Assateague and Chincoteague just to see the ponies in the wild, and I've never heard it pronounced other than SHINcoteague. Right, @Mindthinkr? (But then of course, it's HER ...) "Breakfast at Tiffanys" was on tv a while back and I was looking forward to watching. But ... I couldn't make it past the first hour. Let's just say, it did not age well.
  3. Victoria was a new face for me, but I liked her and will enjoy seeing her again. It was interesting that the third player, Wren, stuck with the 30,000. If I were one of the players already safe, I would have told him to go with the bigger offer, what was it, 250,000? The two safe players would get more money without him, they had 80,000 so would get 40,000 each. With Wren sticking with 30,000, the three of them would each get 36,666. So better he come with 250,000 or not at all IMO. I was so happy Victoria caught them, I threw up both arms and shouted out, I almost threw myself out of my chair. Yeay! Again, Buzzy has to wait in his car. What, they can't afford four chaser chairs?
  4. Which is why I answered "Rabbie Burns" to my teevee. And one very happy PB+J.
  5. I'd pay to see Mayim Bialik as a contestant.
  6. Holy cow to season 3! I guess it's now okay with me if Tubb dies.
  7. The clue was asking for the name of the arch/landmark, not the park, and it is indeed called the St. Louis Arch as well as the Gateway Arch. "The U.S.A.’s smallest National Park is a 91-acre site on the Mississippi River, home to this 630-foot landmark." I was stunned Divya Badri didn't know the answer since she lives in Coal Valley, Illinois, about a 4-hour drive from STL while the two players who did answer live as far east and west as one can get from the Mississippi River. If she grew up in Coal Valley, then she went to the same high school I did, and her interview story happened in my home town. Total missed opportunity, although I'm glad M passed on it. I'd be okay with Ken saying it correctly though.
  8. I wouldn't call it "geeking." I'm afraid I agree with Neil Degrasse Tyson: It looked just like your photo, just a grey haze over part of the moon. Nothing spectacular. Vaguely disappointing. Although it did go from a full-moon night bright as day to creepy darkness during. Another bright spot was I wore a jacket to stay warm enough outside, this after a week of temps in the 100s. I wondered if traffic on the Interstate even noticed. The moon I mean, not me in my coat.
  9. The Val Kilmer episode from 2000 ... when he appeared in the monologue, I thought his hair was a hilarious joke and was waiting for the punch line. Then I realized he thought he was super stylin' with that 'do that made him look exactly like a Polish Crested chicken. Did people really wear their hair like that 22 years ago?
  10. WEEK 35 • May 9, 2022 — TWO asterisk * * 170. Novel Titles. A 1590 poem written for the retirement of Queen Elizabeth’s champion knight shares its title with this 1929 novel by an American. * 171. Live Music. These 2 events held 2 1/2 months & 2,500 miles apart in 1999 were the last of one major music happening & the first of another. * 172. Say It In Italian. It’s an Italian word for “mercy”, but also the name of a movie character who kills Stracci & Carlo. * 173. Constitutions of the World. Amendments to its 1901 constitution require approval of at least 4 states before receiving Royal Assent. 174. State Names. This state was named for a man born in Herrenhausen Palace in Hanover in 1683. Highland Cows!
  11. This episode was all over the place. The guy trying to kill Scarlet seems to have no problem finding her wherever she goes. The police department should ask him if he has a brother or uncle they can hire. Plus the same guy wants to kill Tubb ... why? Good fool with Scarlett and kid hiding behind the restroom door. I guess the killer guy didn't notice her car was still there when he left the bathroom. I actually agreed with the drug dad saying the kid had a choice to take the drugs or not. His body, his choice! Missed Jerri and Lindor this week. Next week's preview was a tease!
  12. Today's joke: It's a good thing the earth isn't flat or cats would push everything off the edge. Names: • Tim, Timmy, Timothee (short for Timid). • Pierce (for David HIDE Pierce) • Bela (for Bela Lugosi who played Dracula) or Bello to turn it into Handsome Boy. • Bram (Stoker) • Count Cat (Sesame Street reference) • Bakula (rhymes with Dracula, and Scott B. is quite handsome. Bakula is also a flower.)
  13. If I ever get the call, I'm looking you up. Not to worry though since it's becoming more hopeless every year. I saw it in the theater when it first came out 50 years ago. Geesh, who can remember any of the characters' names after five decades. (Rhetorical question, don't answer.)
  14. Uranus spent last week being "the joke" on The Chase so I heard enough to last me for a long while.
  15. Man, this was a lackluster episode for me. James seemed not up to par, and the best player guy got sent home. Glad he went for the big money though, that took guts. What, the lounge only has three chairs? So Brad was back this week and they made Buzzy wait in his car?
  16. Looks like they fixed the Polecano from last week. I don't think anyone will be able to beat the Sasquatch Foot though. Can't believe two people made it past the port-a-potties. The Bobbing Fish is my favorite hole and one I'd want if I ever were on the show. Start, stop, start, stop ... easy, right? Some great putts, a couple made me shout out loud! Glad Rob Riggle v.2 was the winner.
  17. Excellent article, plus I love her photo at the top! Good luck to Mallory today.
  18. While I work so hard to not look at her, I did not even notice! But I'm a 100-percent flat-shoe wearer so ... yeay. I guess.
  19. Same happened to me, except I was so sure I was correct, I was somewhat stunned when the real answer was given. Welcome back @Clanstarling! You've been missed.
  20. FJ was an instaget, but Lollapalooza was a good bad guess. I'm used to answers easy for me being unknowns for the players. I do not know what that means.
  21. Churchill Downs ... ? Oh wait, that racetrack is still in operation. Again, good on the players for knowing they can bet up to $1000 and $2000 on Daily Doubles since the current host does not bother to tell them. Lucky Danielle for getting to meet Ken. And then win a game with him as host. Talk about knocking a bucket list out of the park! Well, Isak Dinesen could sound like a Jewish woman winning a mamba contest in New York. I can't make fun of anyone's pulled-out-of-the-air guess. ETA: Thanks for the recap @853fisher, what a great time that was, and again, a zillion congrats to Danielle. What an amazing achievement even getting on that show much less ... And best of luck to your parents, too. But moving ... UGH!
  22. @853fisher is conspicuously absent. Must still be hungover from that Friday night viewing party! Report in when you can, please!
  23. Thanks for posting. It made me like/appreciate Mattea even more as the very special person she is.
  24. There was another gif of him walking shirtless on the beach that I liked better, but thought it too racy for some viewers. This made me laugh:
