  1. I agree. I thought it was striking seeing all the couples together on the Q&A. Jinger looked to Jeremy as she answered things, as if for approval, and Jeremy seemed "in charge" of the couple's statements. It was the same with Joy and Austin and Kendra and Joe but the exact opposite with Jessa and Ben. Jessa was definitely running the show, and Ben looked to her. I'm not saying I have an issue with it, because I'm an anti-Duggarism feminist who finds Jessa fascinating. I think she has found a way to walk the line of presenting herself as a model of their value system while actually subverting it quite a bit. She is definitely the headship in that family.
  2. According to some people on the show's Facebook page who supposedly know him, he works at a used car lot and borrowed the fancy cars for the day. In addition, he apparently also used his friends' house.
  3. I also agree that she probably has PPD. Two births that didn't go her way would increase that. She could also be having trouble with breastfeeding, which would add to her sadness. For someone who is crunchy about birth stuff and envisioned homebirths, two tough labors and two C-sections would definitely make someone already suffering from PPD feel even worse. And, like many have speculated, C-sections do likely decrease the amount of children you can have AND vaginal births after 2 C-sections are more rare than after just one. I was induced with my first son due to high blood pressure. The Pitocin made for a quick but difficult labor and I ended up tearing quite a bit during delivery. I could barely move and couldn't do a lot of the normal new mom stuff, plus I had trouble breastfeeding. Add that to my postpartum hormones and I was a wreck for a full month.
  4. I did appreciate that Jana was willing to speak up and say that homebirth was not for her. I think she was probably the most traumatized by the whole Josie ordeal.
  5. The caption on that photo of Izzy in the infant car seat on Derick's Instagram was something like "Israel is REALLY ready for his little brother." Sounds like they had the car seat out to get it ready for the baby and Iz played in it.
  6. I knew he was going to be who he said he was as soon as his pictures were just completely ordinary looking, not particularly good looking. I know that's mean!
  7. Not a Derrick defender, but any weight newborn is tiny when compared to their size years later. I think he's comparing newborn Izzy to present day Izzy, who probably weighs 30-40 pounds now. My second son was nearly 10 1/2 pounds and, while he definitely looks like a giant newborn in pictures, I would still reminisce about his tiny days compared to his 8 year old self.
  8. Do you think Jana and John David know that TLC would 100% create a show for them if they wanted to go out on their own and get apartment and date normally, try new clothes, etc.?
  9. I'm still convinced that Sierra and maybe at least one other girl from pictures from the after party were bridesmaids as well as the sisters and SILs, but they just keep sharing that one picture that doesn't include them. I don't know why this mystery bothers me!
  10. That family picture of the three of them in the article is just gorgeous. Zach is glowing! I can't be anything other than thrilled for this particular branch of the Roloff family. I think Jackson is going to have a great life with these parents.
  11. Mom donates Emmy budget to Planned Parenthood
  12. Found it! It also confirms that the catfisher is usually the one who contacts the show AND that the producers know a lot but keep Nev and Max in the dark. http://www.vulture.com/2014/05/catfish-mtv-casting-production-process.html
  13. An article from 2014 that I'm too tired to find and link to right now did say that they have mental health professionals on hand for participants. Despite all the extraneous people, this episode managed to be really boring. Also, producers, don't go out of your way to show Mary baking after talking about going to culinary school and then have her baking with vegetable oil and a boxed cake mix.
  14. I will say that she posted a video of Henry on her Instagram today in which he's smiling a lot, and he's positively adorable.
  15. Regina is terrible to Bay but not particularly great with Daphne either, at least not in the last few seasons. John and Kathryn, though they may favor Daphne, treat both girls as daughters. Regina treats Daphne like a favorite niece and Bay like some girl she knows a little bit.
  16. Jack literally stood his blind date up and Rebecca is getting crap for ending hers early?
  17. I liked seeing Lyla from Friday Night Lights as Raf's probably very temporary girlfriend. Also, Ellie and Anna are played by the Allen Twins, formerly Nora Braverman on Parenthood.
  18. I like the idea of "Find Chidi" being a consistent thing Eleanor needs to do if their memories get reset again and again. I like the idea of her knowing that Chidi is the one that can help her. Even though Mike Schur made the concept of soulmates in the Good Place part of the evil plan and not a real thing, he DOES believe in the concept (The Office - Jim and Pam, Michael and Holly, Parks & Rec - Leslie and Ben). So I think another running theme will be that, ironically, Eleanor and Chidi are soulmates and the key to each other's survival in the Bad Place and possible eventual move to a Good or Medium Place.
  19. Wait, Tahani was on a magazine cover the day Eleanor died? Hadn't Tahani already been in the Good (Bad) Place for a while when Eleanor arrived?
  20. On a personal fan level, the ones that bother me the most are Erika Christensen (Parenthood) and Jason Dohring (Veronica Mars).
  21. If I had a whole mess of sisters, I wouldn't want to leave just two out, however I can understand the selection a little because Hannie is old enough to be a junior bridesmaid, and Josie is technically the closest to a normal flower girl age.
  22. Pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last period, assuming you know that day and have a normal cycle. So, she would know the exact weeks, days.
