  1. The sheets had nothing to do with the pregnancy or Megan’s period. They were just bloody from Luke’s ear getting shot. They were the sheets Luke was on in the cabin bed that she must have taken with her when she went back to clean the (way too large) blood stain off the floor. I do think we were misled to think they had something to do with the pregnancy, but that was before we knew about Luke getting shot in the bed on New Year’s Eve. With regard to the blood stain being so big, my only possible justification is that when Luke was super slowly getting his shoes and socks back on, I think we saw his ear dripping blood? If he was moving super slowly from the pills and alcohol, maybe he bled in one spot more than we were shown?
  2. Megan went to Parker’s to confront Isabella. Parker is Isabella’s only friend in the Summer 2000 timeline and who comes to pick her up when Debbie says she can’t stay at Debbie and Megan’s house anymore. Isabella is staying at Parker’s now that she isn’t staying in the airstream anymore.
  3. The second episode with the woman with terminal cancer is very moving.
  4. People act so oddly in this show to make the plots work. Wouldn’t most people have taken the brother home as soon as they saw the bruises on his arm? If not then, wouldn’t they have taken him home when he landed in the hospital with a head wound? They knew he was already dealing with the loss of his mother, so adjusting to that loss and the move to a facility would have been tough enough on Sam without the injuries making it so much worse. This family had money. Even if they were nervous about having him live with them full time, it seems so much more logical to me that Jiro would have taken his brother home at the first sign that he was not completely safe in the facility. They clearly had the money to temporarily hire an aide to care for Sam in their home while they looked for a new facility. I can’t believe anyone would leave a loved one somewhere they didn’t believe to be safe.
  5. Paedon is difficult to watch, because even though I love that he’s a huge supporter of his mom, he looks and sounds the most like Kody of any of the kids and even has his mannerisms.
  6. I’m thinking Mykelti is benefitting from the combination of Christine being a media darling right now and twins being slightly more interesting than your average reality star pregnancy.
  7. I’ll be the odd man out and say that I see no evidence that they smell or don’t bathe. I think Leo probably pushes it too far between hair wash days and has decided leaving their hair messy is another FU to societal standards, but I think assuming they are unwashed and have BO is a stretch.
  8. This is absolutely lovely and gets zero snark from me…
  9. Having Kevin’s twins in the Pearson family photo is what made the absence of all the other kids so glaring. I’m assuming they didn’t have Randall’s kids in the episode because of aging issues. The current actresses look too young, and the deathbed versions look too old. I’m guessing not having Jack and Hailey there for the photo had something to do with the availability of the kid actors in terms of limited working hours? So, in that case, Nicky and Franny shouldn’t have been there either. We could have just been witnessing the adults only part of the photo shoot, and we wouldn’t be distracted by why some kids were there and others weren’t.
  10. FWIW, I didn’t think the scene with Kate eating the desserts at the cocktail party was trying to suggest that Toby’s boss was insensitive to serve them. I think we were supposed to see that in her happy life in LA, it’s easier for her to make healthy choices. She doesn’t have the cake at the retirement party, and she’s drinking water while Madison drinks wine during their movie night. It’s not until the stress of seeing San Francisco Cool Guy Toby chatting about fantasy basketball with his coworkers and leaving her alone on their special weekend together that she gives in to stress eating multiple desserts. I think it’s supposed to be an illustration of how much happier she is in her normal routines at home.
  11. I am happy for them and would watch a season or a special about them settling in and exposing the kids to the cool things Boston has to offer, but my first thought when I saw the announcement is that I would rather watch paint dry than watch them design another house.
  12. Questions I wish the interviewer would ask: ”Robyn, you are in a unique position in the family because all five of your children live at home and do not need to leave the house to work or attend school. Would you have been as “compliant” with Kody’s rules if Dayton worked outside the home or Aurora was living in a college dorm and still wanted to see you?” This has driven me crazy all season, because their situations aren’t at all comparable. Christine had Ysabel’s surgery and a pregnant Mykelti. Janelle had two working sons and a daughter with special needs kids and a husband who works a ton. ”Kody, you seem to resent the term “abandonment” but how else would you describe your behavior with regard to Ysabel’s surgery? Or being there for your pregnant daughter or your grandchildren? Or even going to visit Meri as a “friend” while she was following your rules? Or making anywhere near the effort for Truely that you make for Sol and Ari?”
  13. I worked in a now defunct learning toy store at a mall in upstate NY during the beanie craze. I was around 19 and working there during college breaks. The beanie customers were downright abusive to us. They would rattle the closed gates before opening time on the days they knew we got shipments and try to bully us into letting them in early. They would stand around and purposely be in the way if they thought we had some in the back and just hadn’t gotten around to bringing them out yet. They would monopolize our time asking questions we didn’t know the answers to about what might or might not be in the next shipment and then get nasty when we tried to politely excuse ourselves to help non-beanie customers.
  14. I can’t believe they made me care enough about…
  15. There is no excuse for not video chatting and/or doing outside activities with all the kids for the amount of time he would normally supposedly have been spending with those kids pre-covid. It’s one thing to have to sleep at just Robyn’s and eat indoor meals there and watch TV there, but he could have been doing more to be in Christine’s and Janelle’s kids weekly lives. Online board games over zoom with Truely and the other girls, outside coffee and chatting with Savanah, video chats or sports with the boys. There is just no excuse. If my husband couldn’t live with our sons and me right now, he would be talking to them nightly before bed, meeting them at the playground to chat from a distance, watching their favorite movies together in different houses while staying on the phone with each other, etc. He should have set up a regular schedule of several hours with each kid per week. It’s not like he’s working! Staying connected to his kids ought to be his full time job.
  16. It’s so bizarre and telling to see Kody act surprised about things even random strangers like us know about his family, like when Gabe said Christine was their primary parent. Kody looked shocked, while viewers at home have always known this. Also, Kody only went to the funeral for his reputation. In the plyg world, where he wants to remain a big shot, he couldn’t have one of his wives attend her mother’s funeral without him, where she would be seen by herself by relatives and friends of Winn. It would look bad for him, especially because she was his dad’s wife. He got away with not going to Ysabel’s surgery because he cares more what plyg bigwigs think than his own family. Also telling that Robyn was upset about him going and made him promise it wouldn’t cause him to miss Christmas with Sol and Ari. A truly supportive wife and sister wife would have been reassuring him that no matter what, the most important thing was that he was there for Janelle and that she and the kids would be fine if he had to do belated Christmas with them in January.
  17. That’s not how the genetics work, from what they’ve said. Jeremy doesn’t carry the gene for achondroplasia, so his kids are no more likely to have dwarfism than any couple in which both parents are of average height. Zach does carry the gene, so any kids he and Tori have will have a 50% chance of having dwarfism.
  18. I did a little Facebook digging and figured out that Molly’s son has a pretty cool life… he is disabled and in a wheelchair but has a supportive seeming dad and stepmom and a pretty serious scuba diving hobby! I think the stuff with James’s daughter being in the wedding was him putting Molly off as long as possible. “Yes, honey, of course Emma will be in the wedding and get hair and makeup done with you.” “Yes, honey, of course Emma will still be in the wedding, but she’s going to get her hair and make-up done by a friend.”
  19. If Kody wasn’t established as the kids’ legal father, what paperwork would he have had to sign for Ysabel’s surgery? I think that paperwork proves he IS on the birth certificates.
  20. I think she mentioned Caleb watching a movie he dislikes because his kids love it because Kody never did and never does anything except exactly what Kody wants and Kody likes. It’s truly new to her.
  21. Learning about this conflict in the Lehi house is interesting, because it turns out that the house they lived in that was considered the most suitable for their lifestyle wasn’t actually all that suitable for their lifestyle after all. Also, thinking of Christine raising all the kids while Janelle and Kody and Meri worked, it definitely shows in their relationships. When Maddie had her babies, Christine was there and truly seemed like a second mother to her. Also, when Ysabel was talking about getting her surgery at the barbecue, Janelle’s boys seemed genuinely happy for her in a true way brothers would be relieved for their sister to be out of pain. Juxtapose that with Robyn’s girls put-on, overly showy excitement over Mykelti’s pregnancy announcement… you can tell which Brown kids were really raised as siblings.
  22. Y’all. That baby is 8 months old. She didn’t eat a plate full of cookies. There is just no way. They gave them to her for a photo opp and let her nom on them for a bit. She probably actually swallowed the equivalent of a quarter of one cookie. The baby doesn’t have molars yet.
  23. I never thought I would be thankful for Austin and Derrick, but those two have turned out to be the real, decent men in this whole mess of people and seem to really have their wives’ well-being as their top priority.
  24. Let’s not forget that Jinger is a victim too, and every choice she has made and continues to make in her life is informed by abuse.
