  1. I absolutely hated season 8 but I love reading your perspective on it. It showed me that you are a fan of the show and was able to find enjoyable moments in season 8. I did like that the season finale centered around Piper since she was always the heart of the show when Prue was alive. Piper just became an intolerable bitch during the Paige years. I never understood her romance with Leo, it was cute in season 1 but I never saw Leo being the man that Piper would marry and have children with. As a Prue fan it just pissed me off how Prue was excised from the show and the season finale was just adding insult to injury. It is like Prue never existed and she was an important person in Piper and Phoebe's life. Piper and Phoebe never had moments where they spoke about her. Once they found Paige the show acted like they had grown up with her and Prue was an afterthought.
  2. That would be a beautiful story to tell about the Hortons but we no longer get character-driven stories. We get the likes of Ron who does not have the talent to write anything beyond the campy drivel that he has written..
  3. I was a kid too when Tony and Renee were on the show. Renee was multifaceted and it is why she was so popular. Renee was great with Tony David and Alex Marshall. Renee did go dark like a typical Dimera after she learned that Anna was pregnant with Tony's baby shortly after she had miscarried her own baby by David, Julie's son. She really hated Julie and the Horton clan who treated her like shit. Renee wanted to get rid of Anna and the baby to get Tony back. Her machinations led to Anna miscarrying her baby. Ron is using a period of Renee's life to make her one note in his version of Renee/Sarah. She was a complex character and sympathetic despite her heinous acts. She wanted to be loved and accepted. The Tony/Renee romance was very popular with the viewers. Their brief reunion before she was murdered by Andre was bittersweet..
  4. It had a lot of funny lines that Bea Arthur delivered masterfully like always.. Rose is once again saying that Bob Hope is her father who will be present for their benefit and an exasperated Dorothy says the following to Rose. Rose Rose this is not miracle on 34th street, you are a grown woman holding on to childish games. Bob Hope is not your father, he has no idea who you are and he is not about to come to this place.. There were so many gems like this delivered by Bea Arthur all throughout the episode, even though the episode was about Rose but Bea made it very funny for me.
  5. How do they treat Garcelle over there? Garcelle is a sweetheart...
  6. She also looks to play the martyr..
  7. How the hell did Kim win over the biological uncle? I actually think that they should have shared custody of the little girl. Now the show is going to trash him to make her the better parent. I did like the realistic touch of Kim not knowing how to comb the little girl's hair and bringing her to that Black lady at Kevin's to help her out.
  8. Star was constantly reminding us that she was a lawyer that SNL made fun of her for being braggadocious..
  9. I tuned in yesterday saw Sheryl and she looked so great. I love the show's new energy but I miss Carrie anne though. I think she would have cliqued with this group. Sharon Osbourne and her odious daughter are still trashing the show and Sheryl. I wish that they would both go away. Sharon is blessed with millions so she will never be without. Not too many people who have ever lost a job could say that..
  10. I think that he did have sex with her a couple of times and had to put a stop to it when she wanted more from him. She probably became a real spiteful bitch and he had to part ways with her professionally..
  11. I always thought that Will was a terrible writer and I have never understood why the characters were always praising him for it..
  12. What the hell was Whoopie saying? she derailed the conversation with her ramblings. Tafoya is annoying with her both sides.. I loved Sunny challenging her when she said that she was an independent..
  13. Script writers create the dialogue but Ron likes to write dialogue as well. He was bragging on tweeter ad nauseum about having Chanel saying the line "White people are crazy"..
  14. Sunny has always been forceful with her opinions and she pushes back hard. She was like this when she first got on the view, she and Jedidiah used to have some arguments but they were able to leave it at the table and were close friends off the show. Sunny went to her wedding and everything.. Like you said, Sunny suppressed herself during the Megan years for job security. Whoopie is an icon in the Black community and Sunny being Black herself is showing deference towards Whoopie. It is not ass-kissing in my opinion and even though she may not always challenge Whoopie when she makes her asinine pronouncements. I understand why Sunny chooses not to do that.
  15. Really? You do know that Sunny and Ana are close friends off the show and have known each other for years going back to Sunny's days on CNN. The ladies travel together and everything. Sunny is also close with Joy and many other ladies who used to co-host on the view.
  16. Do you guys think that Kim and Kanye engage in narcissistic abuse of other people? Narcissists love to engage in that and they also thrive in chaos while playing martyr in situations that they themselves caused.
  17. Exactly! Kim was all about securing the bag and she did not give a damn about the consequences of bringing children into her dysfunction..
  18. I could definitely see Phoebe experimenting with women. I did love Phoebe being connected psychically to that succubus in season 2 and Bo in season 3. It seemed like a power advancement that should have been fleshed out more.. I always thought that empathy and even telepathy should have been power advancements of her premonition power. It was so stupid for Phoebe to be able to tap into people's powers, it never made any sense.
  19. That would have been awesome episode, especially to see how different the sisters would have been had they been raised by their mom.
  20. I wish that we knew more about Patty as well. She was always a tragic figure whose death affected her daughters differently. Her absence shaped their personalities. Prue having to grow up fast to take care of baby sisters suppressing her own desires. It continued even as a charmed one and we saw her astral self expressing herself in a way that Prue never did in season 3. Piper feeling invisible underappreciated and unmoored who attached herself fiercely to her grandmother. We saw their close bond in the prewitch episode. Phoebe being angry not having had a mother that pushed her to lash out as a teen. At least Paige had a mom who loved her so she did not grow up without a mom like her sisters.
  21. What I loved about Grams is that her grandchildren inherited something from her. Prue inherited her strength and telekinesis. Piper inherited her potion making abilities and cooking skills. Phoebe inherited her fearlessness and spell casting abilities. A grams prequel would have been awesome with Constance Burge writing it and Brad Kern not being around..
  22. The sad thing with all of this is that Wendy always wanted to have a talk show on the national scene. That was always her long-term goal going back to her radio days and it is sad that how it has gone down for her.
  23. Brady and Belle were toddlers at Jarlena's first big wedding alongside Will. After Jarlena came back from their honeymoon two weeks later, they were teens and Marlena even commented on how they had grown as a wink to the audience.. The headwriter Lorraine Broderick at the time did not want to age them but was forced to do so by the executive producer at the time.
  24. Not to mention, when she was on the view she was constantly saying that she was a Christian.. Hypocrisy is thy name Sherry Shepherd..
  25. Exactly! Ron ruins everything on this show..
