  1. Beating the other team is the best indicator though.
  2. Any PK stop is a good stop, but the attempt was lacking in velocity.
  3. Looks like it's super keeper day at the World Cup.
  4. A keeper only has a superman game like that once. He picked a good match to have it. Mexico isn't going to be an easy out for Argentina on Saturday if it's a must win for them, and not for Mexico.
  5. It's whatever brings in the most ad money and ratings.
  6. Wales had barely a half a chance in the run of play to get a goal. The US just had to play 90 minutes.
  7. I never get why head to head isn't the first. I beat you, but you beat someone by more than I beat them, so I lose. I'm not blaming officiating on the result. Clear penalty. However, the referee was not the top tier. You're giving out yellows in the 11th minute; you can't keep that up and be consistent. You have to give out like 9 of them. Then when you stop for injury USA absolutely cannot lose on Friday, and need England to beat Wales. Someday when the USA figures out that they have to play 90 minutes in a row, they're actually going to be a squad to be reckoned.
  8. In the kitchen, when Linda was about to throw away the coupon, and Louise caught her. Louise mentioned Rudy went.
  9. When the Belchers were walking away and there was the sound effect of the yeti breaking, but it also sounded like the little girl might have gotten hurt. It was Thanksgiving and they were the only family. You go inspect the yeti, you see the pencils, you know something's up. Better to just cop to it at that point, and take the L. If they were messing with it, and it just got stuck, then eh, just walk away.
  10. I'm not one to be dramatic, but this is must win for the US today, especially with England having a +4 now. I'd just harass Bale up and down the pitch all game and wear them out. With only being the first match, the 3 points is paramount over how many goals. I think posting in here is fine for the World Cup.
  11. One of them was a swamp monster offering a lady popcorn, and then a huge rat with a cat in its mouth. Not to be topped by the alligators in golf gear hugging.
  12. Brian straight up called out 'stan culture'. Stewie also was legitimately trying to make a nice comment being a fan since Jolly Farm not just trying to rile people up. It's still relevant even if it's plot-adjacent to other episodes.
  13. They also eventually build up effectively infinite resources too.
  14. Deep cut to reach back to Jolly Farm. I like how the kitchen phone is still there too. Didn't Peter get thin a while back too? He wasn't even wearing clothes. Not every conflict needs to be public. I'll say, Stewie. I don't know if they were doing a callback to Brian always getting a new Rupurt.
  15. uh oh, Bob on Thanksgiving. Of course, Rudy went to the awesome mini golf. I don't know why Bob just didn't tell Linda to take the kids. They had some weird holes though. Bob low key trashed talk the entire time. I would have just said Tammy was having an after Thanksgiving party and nixed the high school boys. Tina wouldn't do that. It's not like they keep track of the kids when they go off.
  16. Looper is a good movie though. Of course, Honeybee is all in. I was surprised that the kids didn't believe Beef about being abducted and covered in glitter. And we have a return of the Russian restaurant. I mean, I get Honeybee not being enthused, but there's only 3 restaurants and the malls. The date night turned out better since they followed the looper. It's too bad Crispin couldn't come on the boat. Judy looked good in a tux! I always cry at weddings. Two weeks in a row for Alyson too.
  17. I don't know how they got away with those parties. Old people are nosey. I liked all the activities going on behind the closed door while Bart and Lisa were freaking out in the hall way. Something about the climbing wall falling on the pony.
  18. They could not have casted the 'coach' better. He just looked like someone you wanted to clock with a champagne bottle. I thought Harry got a little too into it though. Otherwise, I like the plot of the esports.
  19. I try to limit buying stuff that is packaged in plastic. It's hard! I drive to the next city over to recycle my plastic waste, but you never know if it is. I felt they were a little sloppy this time around. I can chalk it up to Sophie being off-game because of Arthur.
  20. That's fine. I mean, it was on a broadcast network since there were literally no other channels so in the PG, R sense, you still have to work under the FCC constraints. It sounded like Ebersol was running interference with the network a lot though from what I've read.
  21. Parker was dressed as the Thirteenth Doctor in the first picture when Hardison was trying to put up the presentation. Breeana's hoodie was programming languages. My closed captions even had 'Tohd'. Wyle did a great job playing reactions shots to Sophie when she showed up as the lawyer. I like Sophie and Wilson; good dynamic. I never saw why Sophie *needs* to be the lead. At this point, it could easily rotate as expertise dictates.
  22. Didn't Zach climb in the window for the "I'm so excited?" aka the best 90s moment in television.
  23. Laraine Newman said everyone's best SNL cast is the one when you were a teenager. Social media will tell you that the worst cast is always the current cast. I tend to think it's like the hall of fame - you have to wait until 5 years or after a cast leaves. When you look back, you realize, oh, there were some hitters in that cast. I'm actually watching the show from #1 to present. I'm on season 7. These Ebersol years aren't the best. I'd have to disagree that it wasn't groundbreaking though, when you read the history of the show and the era; where comedy was in the 60s, 70s. Most of the originals came over from Lampoon and other underground comedy scenes. I don't know if the show suffered from its initial success to now. It's remarkably consistent since 1975 (taking out the non Lorne years except Eddie Murphy, really), so it might not seem as groundbreaking now.
  24. I forgot to add. When Wolf was at the movie in disguise, one of the movies was "Pope Fight", which he wanted to see, but there was a poster for "Murder Kitchen".
