  1. Oh right I forgot. I complained about that.
  2. No, I think Featherstone is just hell bent on revenge for Tulip and Cass escaping and is out of fucks to give. When she first encountered real Jesus, she immediately knelt down. She isn't really interested in him wandering around wanting to bless these idiots when she has shit to do.
  3. They'll be in Los Angeles too. So it's not like she will have to drive the three hours for Justine's audition. Granted, Debbie shouldn't have said 'acting would have happened by now' (though true) and presented it better. What bugs is that Ruth directed the opening theme to the show (in the mall). It was good, Sam knew it, and she was happy with her accomplishment. Not wanting to capitalize on that baffles me. *And* the character she created was basically top billing with Debbie, and I think Ruth had a hand in the Liberty Belle concept. Debbie is offering her the chance to create a whole cast. So what if she only gets this new job because of Debbie? She only got the audition because of Sam. That's how it works. I can get someone like Carmen wanting to move on because of her family ties and upbringing. It's a smart move on TPTBs to end the show on xmas. You can do a short time jump next season to allow Ruth to reconsider.
  4. I imagine they'll keep most of the cast around, as to how the wife is getting on with Frankie in jail. I'm really interested in if the daughter will seek revenge on Jimmy.
  5. On the stand, Jimmy said they found out he was an informant and he killed him for it. The murder was currently unsolved, as we saw throughout the season. Kick said, after the sentencing, that she saw Jimmy do it and asked why he wasn't in trouble for it too. He shouldn't say shit to his wife. It is very clear to me she will throw him under the bus for her own ambitions. Like I said before, the show is about the Boston Miracle, so I think Ward is poised to be in a position to really clean up the streets. He seems to get along with the police captain well enough, so they could just clean up the streets out of the limelight for a while. I agree that an S2 should have tighter plotting and a more straightforward story.
  6. In a prior season, they showed 'real Jesus' getting it on with some woman in, uh, Jesus-times, prior to being arrested. That was the only time they showed him. I don't get the point of the Grail making and preserving his descendants if the real one is around.
  7. I actually saw a commercial last night where people were washing a car and someone got water thrown on them.
  8. Jesse really doesn't have much of a handle on the voice at all. I actually do like that there's consequences. Jesse isn't good on the long term thinking about using this voice. When he did tell Eugene to go to hell, he was really ticked and lashed out. I wouldn't be surprised if he just didn't remember. I can deal with 2 botched escape attempts, but you've got to move the plot. Oh, so this is where the 'real Jesus' comment came from. How is there a real Jesus? I thought the Humperdoo Jesus was inbred from the real Jesus? Or were there a series of clones? Oh, ffs, why am I bothering? Real Jesus was cool though. No one reads ridiculous lines as good as Herr Starr. Offering the food court to Jesus. Sending off the pilot was the first Preacher thing Jesse did in a while.
  9. That's a long walk. The cops in the Brinks truck just jumped out in clear line of fire. Additionally, you could also say that Jimmy gets away with a lot more that people don't know about under this blanket immunity deal. Jackie helped him dispose of a body too. It also cost Ward any political ambitions. His campaign manager called him to back out. And he's basically demoted.
  10. That doesn't explain how the world with the talking AI was filled with skeletons though. If you're colonizing over 300 worlds and literally wiping out a planet that defied you, I'm not sure what to call it. They're also using advanced tech to essentially possess people. What Niko should do is get the comms working, send a report, and investigate all the other worlds, or as many as possible. The Akaya didn't know Niko was there until their artifact was destroyed, so if they aren't idiots (drama there), then they should be able to sneak around and learn more. Or send another ship to assist.
  11. The only acceptable water fight on tv was Laverne and Shirley in the dentist's office.
  12. It is the guy's eyewitness account though.
  13. There isn't a regular Jesus. The 'Jesus prime' Jesse met peed on him but was massively inbred. I guess 'regular Jesus' was shown in the flashback. The rest are all clones that Jesse released and they can't figure out who the 'prime' is unless he can dance to Soft Shoe.
  14. I got his meaning. I didn't think he was endorsing pesky hormones.
  15. I am sporadically. I was confused it was a dramatization. I thought it was a straight documentary.
  16. Fundamentally, the show is about the Boston Miracle, so Ward could spent a lot of time out of the spotlight (since he's toxic for politics) racking up a lot of wins and leading to a big gun bust with Jackie. I like them working together. I don't really care if technically an FBI agent wouldn't. They established early on that Jackie is trading on his big mob bust and said in the bar how he was 'the hero again here' and had a special on channel 5. I hope the "I'm coming for you" angle gets turned around. Jackie's the only friend Ward has. Who was preaching at the end in the church? Was it supposed to be a famous speech? I know 'city on a hill' is used a lot.
  17. Jackie has been giving good advice to Ward consistently, starting with the grand jury idea. It so happens, some of the advice was in enlightened self-interest, but still useful. I loved - I don't want to be accused of politicizing a grand jury, which I did do but still.
  18. You can still do a lot with that though and they could have done more. I did like the backstory to this too. You can essentially clean house for a second season though. Niko already killed one crew member. She can wipe out the remaining crew and start over.
  19. I'm not sure I agree with "Jackie got the cop killed" as an accurate statement. It looked like the exit wasn't covered properly, and they just jumped out of the Brinks truck. Any one of the three of them could have gotten shot. Jenny's scene was great, but I feel like the plot was kind of tacked on for lack of much to do for the actor. The school plot was good but they summarily dropped it. I thought the little girl with PTSD would be much more key to the case. I liked the show and will certainly watch season. But the show is really Ward and Jackie.
  20. I think they needed to whip around the star to get the speed up to engage FTL. They were in a decaying orbit so maybe the gravity was messing with it.
  21. They showed really quick that the bug fell through a crack right before. I mean, I know, but they at least tried. I think they were able to figure out where earth was by following the signal they were tracking and knowing where Canis is.
  22. Yeah, she's been trying to find him. Why he is walking around freely is another mystery.
