  1. Steve was my favorite guy on the series. I don't understand all of the Steve hatred.
  2. My favorite thing from the show and the thing I always think if when somebody mentions the show is "I just found out that nothing rhymes with Alex". I laugh my ass off every time. Second favorite moment is the episode where Joe is teaching Helen how to fly the plane. I forget what happened but Helen ended up having to fly the plane. She said " I've learned a lot.....ABOUT LIFT ". Her delivery of that line gets me every time. Random nothing here...my best friend from school worked for NBC and her first show was Wings. She and Crystal Bernard became good friends and are still friends today. I don't " know" Crystal but I've met her and been around her a lot when I would visit my friend and she is really super sweet.
  3. I don't watch this show a lot but when I remember it's on and catch it I always enjoy it. I have a question though, are we really supposed to pretend that the first half of the perfectly healed head tattoos were done the day before? I was married to a tattoo artist and have nine of my own and there's no way in hell that those were done the day before. Why do they do that? Why don't they just say that the second half was done after the first half healed?
  4. I cut the top off a water bottle, feed the top of the bag through the top and screw the cap on. It works great, it reuses plastic bottles and its free. http://lifehacker.com/5653113/seal-plastic-bags-with-old-bottle-caps
  5. I agree. I also don't think anybody but Kelly is to blame for her drinking when she didn't want to. Nobody forced anything down her throat and she could have kept saying no and drinking water. I don't blame anybody but Kelly.
  6. What annoys the hell out of me is how people say "I'm OCD" or I have/haven't been diagnosed "as" OCD. You can't BE obsessive compulsive disorder, you can have it or be diagnosed as having it but you can't be a disorder.
  7. Whatever the timeline, I really don't care one way or another. I just think it's funny that she doesn't come back until her family is on TV. She's had plenty of opportunities to come before now I'm sure.
  8. I'm quoting myself from page one. Blech, I'm going to pass on the episodes that she's on. It's funny how Atz says Jewell hasn't been back since she left to become a singer and has never even brought her son home. But now that the family has a successful show and her career tanked years ago, here she comes. She must hate that they used to be known as "singer Jewell's family" and now she's second to them. I'm not really understanding the Atz Lee thing. He had a really bad accident and then the earthquake scared him so he leaves his family to go build a new cabin? Did I miss something? I'm happy to see that he's steadily recovering but I don't get why he left to build a new cabin. Are they separated and just don't want to say? It sounds like he's planning to live there full time if he's talking about gardens and chicken coops. I love this show and am so happy it's back. I love Otto, Charlotte Eve and Eivan and all of them. If I had to pick a least favorite it would have to be Jane but even she doesn't bother me too much. Did anyone else watch or am I talking to myself? It's bad enough I quoted myself so somebody come talk to me!!
  9. Wow, that chandelier sounds awful. Croquet mallets? Really? I'm kind of bummed that I missed that one. I caught an episode today and I agree that Lara needs to stay out of it. A couple couldn't figure out what to buy so she comes along and says "why don't you buy this and turn it into that" and that's exactly what they did. I don't remember her doing that kind of thing so much in early episodes. This episode had two women who spray painted vinyl chairs but the chairs were too sticky from the paint so they pulled them and didn't try to sell them. Has anybody ever pulled a project before? Some of the things the people make are really nice and have me wanting to make the same thing but the majority of the projects are terrible in my opinion.
  10. The whole pet theme pissed me the hell off but the zebra really got to me. The poor thing was just a baby and they're making him a pageant accessory and that's just wrong. None of those poor animals should have been there, most of them looked terrified the way they were held up in the air and shaken and jiggled in front of a crowd of yelling strangers. I wanted to save them all. I noticed some of the animals were "rentals". What kind of legitimate, reputable animal agency/company of any kind would allow their animals to be used in such a way?! I wish I had paid more attention to the names of the companies that rented these animals out. I would get pissed every time I saw an animal in this episode. And yeah, yeah, I know I should worry more about the kids being pushed into this crap...whatever, I like animals more than I like most people, even kids. It was nice to see Crazy Eyes Marci again though, I didn't think the eyes could get any more crazy looking but it looks like I was wrong. And her kid, who's name I could never remember seems to be even more, uh, strange than she used to be. It wasn't just me who thought so right? Marci's daughter is kind of odd?
  11. @beesknees, I was just going to ask the same thing. I'm sure she has access to some kind of comb or brush and the pigtails make her look insane. This episode really made me mad. I was yelling at the TV "go to Costco and buy a few pallets of water you fucking idiots!!! I know some might think that these people are criminals and deserve what they get but god damn water is needed to sustain life, it's not like their TV broke. The way they handled this was worse than the worst Keystone Cop. What kind of large facility like that that houses so many people doesn't have a plan B for something like this? Who doesn't have the common sense to go buy these people some damn water? That gum smacking CO needs to be taken down a peg or ten. The way she timed the gum smack so the camera caught it made this peace loving hippie chick want to throat punch her so she choked on her gum. Every single one of the COs they showed had a bad attitude. When I was a teenager, every Sunday for four and a half years my mom, aunt and I would go visit my uncle in prison, he was sent to two different prisons before settling at San Quentin and most of the guards, Cos and other workers at the prisons all seemed so nice and they seemed to be there for the right reasons. They need a few like that here. I wonder if the difference between the Cos has to do with prison vs jail. Sorry. I'm just rambling at this point. I wonder if the two idiots running this place have any say in what's aired. If so, I can't imagine why they would approve this. This was the worst episode in terms of showing how bad things are there.
  12. What is "VR stuff"?
  13. These quote boxes that don't go away are annoying. In my own personal bathroom that only I use, I keep my toilet paper on a little shelf in front of the toilet. The toilet paper holder is too close to the toilet and I can't bend very well so the shelf is perfect. But I'm definitely an over the roll. I can see where the end is when it's on top.
  14. I had never heard about this guy before. Yikes!!! Him blaming Brooke for his sister's death is scary shit. His references to Rebecca Shaffer were also scary as hell. The fact that he has such access to her home, her family and she herself must make her jump at every little sound. I hope she has good security. I agree, poor Brooke. This guy is crazy, it sounds like he went from being obsessed and "in love" with her to hating her. I don't know which one is more scary.
  15. Who are these people?
  16. For 30 years my brother and I have switched the toilet paper in each other's houses. He does his from the back which is just wrong and I do mine from the front, which is the right way. It's been a running joke with us forever.
  17. @ZaldamoWilder, 43 is being nice. I'm 51 and she looks older than I do.
  18. My family has a very strange sense of humor so my son and I danced to the song "Daddy's Little Girl". Congratulations!!
  19. @Bastet, the freezer is one of the things I try to keep really organized. I have meats on top, vegetables on the second shelf, fries, frozen waffles and things like that on the third and the yummy stuff like my cream puffs, ice cream and my beloved Toaster Streudel go in the drawer on the bottom. The way my freezer is set up is really stupid so if I don't keep it totally organized I can't find anything. I also love organizing. I got all of the drawers in my bedroom tonight, put them on my bed and cleaned them all out while I watched TV. I'm phasing out the summer clothes and making a list of what I need to buy for winter. It's amazing how much crap I throw away when I clean drawers.
  20. This is what I'm still confused about. HOW did Lauren fuck up? I know absolutely nothing about boats so I'm stumped here. I saw Lauren sitting there looking at the anchor and making hand signals, next thing I know she's pissed off and yelling at Kelley for not having her back and she seemed embarrassed. What did I miss? Was it her hand signals that everyone was reacting to? What did she do wrong? Can somebody please help my dumb ass out here and tell me what I missed? Like I said I know NOTHING about boats, boating, sailing or anything of that nature. I have a fear of any kind of water where I can't touch the bottom so no boats for me.
  21. Well of course he nor his daughter will tell the truth, that he screwed the case up by becoming John and Patsy's best friend. Nobody railroaded inncocent people. In these cases the family are the first suspects. Most innocent people will do whatever they can to help the case and prove their innocence. The Ramsey parents did none of that. In my opinion Smit is one of the main people who messed up the investigation. He became overly personally involved with the Ramsey family and from what I've read in many places he put up roadblocks every time the investigators wanted to do anything. He should be ashamed at how he ran this case. I think that's why he resigned, because he knew he was wrong.
  22. My daughter is still that way to an extent. She has two kids, a dog and 2 cats so her house gets messy but her pantry looks like the cupboards in Sleeping with the Enemy. Everything is neatly lined up with the labels facing outward. I love going to her house and moving stuff in her pantry around when she's not looking.
  23. You took my answer! I'm super organized, like Bastet I need to know where everything is and that it will be there when I go get it. I do my books by size and music and movies in alphabetical order. My friend laughed at me one day when she came into my bedroom. I have an old computer desk that I transformed into an organizer for my pet supplies. She was looking at it telling me I have OCD then when she pulled out the keyboard tray and saw the dog and cat brushes neatly lined up, she told me I was weird. My daughter was an odd duck with organizing. When she was a teenager her room would always be messy but her closet was so organized it looked like it was done by a professional.
  24. Sigh. I'm with you B. I tried, and tried, then I tried two more times but four episodes was four too many. I guess we'll just have to be satisfied with our King of Queens repeats. Which I'm watching right now and still watch every single night when I go to bed. Oh well Love Meat, we tried.
  25. I also think it's something like that. An addict will do ANYTHING to get their drugs. I told you guys about my family member stealing multiple bottles of my pain medicine the day I got out of the hospital where I had major spinal surgery. She stole a months worth of my medication and I went completely without for a few days until I got it straightened out. I had to file a police report before I could get my medicine replaced. I really think that's what happened here, I think Ryan was stealing from Larry and Jen and probably other family members. He had been doing that, then with the cat shooting Larry finally snapped.I hope Larry and Jen's marriage can withstand this. Theirs is one of the only, if not the only relationship on the show that seems happy and stable. In the case of my family member who stole from me it was her dad who enabled her. She was daddy's little princess and he gave her whatever she wanted. Their divorce was finalized this summer. I hope that doesn't happen here.
