  1. . That's exactly who I thought it was too!
  2. @forumfish, I'm sorry you had such a bad day, I hope tomorrow is better for you. I think this is pretty much a general gripe thread, that's what I use it for anyway. I have problems with mammograms too. I don't have any medical reason for my extremely small chest, just genetics but I have some of the same problems. My breasts also hurt for days afterwards.
  3. I take pain medication and will for a long time. I want to make sure that I don't end up with an addiction so I got a sponsor and go to Na meetings. We have a concert venue in my city and when a really popular band who started in the 70s and are still popular today would come to town, the singer came to my Na meetings. The anonymity killed me because I wanted to tell everyone I know that I met this person. He's been very open about his addiction so I would be outing anyone but still. @Petunia13, I could not agree more about the Legos. You wake up really fast when you step on a Lego piece in the middle of the night. I'll add Barbie shoes and accessories too but Legos are the worst.
  4. You have beautiful work. I have 9 tattoos and I have plans for more. The next one I want is a portrait of my Border Collies Kaylee and Harley. My daughter made me a beautiful split photo of them and that's my next one, it's just hard to find one that will do the picture justice. I'll have to go into San Francisco to get really good work. This could be a peeve so I'm in the right place. I'm a big Ramones fan too, I love all of the music from that era and genre. "My" band was the Pretenders. I saw them when I was 14 and that was it, they were my band. I loved them so much that my daughter's middle name is Christine, after Chrissie Hynde. They were my favorites into adulthood and I still have the drumstick I caught from their drummer when I was 17. Anyway, 15 years ago my friends got us meet and greet tickets to see them for my birthday. I had seen them a bunch of times but I was excited to actually meet her. I brought the big tapestry of the band that I got for my 18th birthday for them to sign. Chrissie Hynde was a complete and total bitch (see you next Tuesday is more appropriate). When I told her that I named my daughter after her, she sneered and said she hates hearing that rubbish because all she wants to do is make music. Then she got even worse when she saw that I was wearing a leather jacket. My dad got that jacket for me on my 16th birthday and he had died that year so I decided to wear it to the concert. She called me all kinds of names and said I was the reason animals were being skinned and tortured. Moral of the story, don't meet your idols. And that ladies (and gentlemen?) is another Maharincess is bored as hell post.
  5. My daughter works with a guy who is in a relationship like that. When he gets to work he has to send his girlfriend a picture of who he's working with that day, she calls work at least ten times during his shift to make sure he isn't talking to any females and she's actually called my daughter and cussed her out because she talked to the guy while they were working, she told my daughter that she's only "allowed" to speak with him about work related things, nothing personal. They work in a big hotel and this woman has called the bartenders there and asked them to call her if they see her boyfriend in the bar. She shows up at work at random times to check on him. I can see Cate doing all of that. I will never EVER understand how anybody could be in a relationship like that.
  6. I hope you're feeling better 'Damo.
  7. My peeve at the moment is you @TattleTeeny! Ever since I read this comment I can't get the damn song out of my head. All day long "twenty twenty twenty four hours a day....". I curse you!!
  8. What kinds of pills do you suppose some of these moms are passing around? Two of them, Addison's mom and Goldie's mom look like they're high as hell with their droopy eyes and slurred speech. @SunshineSquid, you are so right! She does look like Goldie. Now I want to go to Hulu and watch Flavor of Love again.
  9. I liked it too @17wheatthins! I don't want my sitcoms to be politically correct and boring, what fun is that? I like my sitcoms and sitcom characters to be over the top, not unrealistic and fun and that's what this show is for me. If people were like that to their neighbors in real life, that's not funny but this show isn't real life.
  10. @Toaster Strudel, I agree, there is no way in hell that Dani wrote that. She couldn't even say it, let alone write it. I must say, every time I see your name I start craving them. Lol. It's all your fault that I have two boxes of them in my freezer.
  11. I think we all know that these shows are partially scripted. I for one, know it but hate to be constantly reminded of it. I know they aren't 100% real but I still enjoy them. I guess I prefer to stick my fingers in my ears, say "lalalalalala" and pretend it's real.
  12. I can recommend the Steve Thomas book, JonBenet: Inside The Ramsey Murder Investigation and Perfect Murder, Perfect Town by Lawrence Schiller, both were really good and thorough. The James Kolar book is the one I'm reading now and that's really good as well. I watched all of the specials and none of them changed my mind. I've thought that Burke did it from day one. I've watched and read just about everything out there on this case and nothing has made me change my mind.
  13. What does k/n mean?
  14. There are some movies (most of them in my opinion) that should never be remade. @Bastet, I agree with The Thin Man and I'll add The Birds to the list. I would probably be pissed if they tried to remake that movie. The Birds was my favorite movie when I was a kid. This may as well be written in Chinese for as much as I understand it. Never seen any Star Wars movie and never had the desire. I tried the first one and that was enough for me.
  15. I hate when they do remakes of movies but I've never thought the remakes ruin the original. The original Vacation is one of my all time favorite movies, I hated the remake but I don't think it ruined the original. You're right, that is annoying. I have the best idea for a new Vacation movie, a Griswold family reunion movie would be awesome. All of the people who played Audrey and Rusty could come as cousins or something and Clark could go over board and mess everything up.
  16. At least your number wasn't 555 FILK.
  17. She's a really good dog. Since her hearing is going, I'm working on teaching her hand signals. She's really good at coming when I call her and she'll stop doing something if I say no, I just need to get her to associate the hand signals so when her hearing is gone she'll still understand me. She's not showing much stubbornness yet, but she is a Chihuahua so I'm sure it's coming but I can handle it. I just want her to feel safe and secure. Murphy is on the road with Daddy so they haven't met yet but they're both really good with other dogs so I'm hoping for the best. I'm just so happy that she chose me. When I got to to the adoption event I had no idea what I was looking for, I had a few in mind that I had seen on the website, but once I saw Granny and saw that tail wagging at me so fast it was a blur, I knew she was the one. I would turn my head and her tail would stop wagging, then when I turned back in her direction she'd start wagging again. I did that about ten times. They took her out and put her on my lap in the wheelchair and she snuggled right in. She stayed on my lap for over an hour while we finished the paperwork then she rode in my lap all the way home. Have I mentioned how much I adore her already?? @P2C2E, I too apologize for not seeing your post, I didn't read previous posts before I started posting about my dog. I'm so sorry. My thoughts are with you and your baby. Please keep us posted.
  18. I am so in love with this little old lady already, it feels like I've had her forever. I'm in shock over how comfortable she is here, she has taken over the house and made it hers. We've had a couple of potty accidents but that's to be expected at first. She's figuring it out though. I'm a little worried about her jumping. She won't use the doggy stairs and jumps on and off the furniture like a puppy and it scares me every time she does it. She was finally able to convince the cat to play with her. I'm trying to get a video of them because it's hilarious watching them chase each other around the house. She meets the grandkids today after school. I'm sorry, I know I keep posting about her but I can't help it. I love her so much, she's mama's little granny baby.
  19. After all of Tami saying if she sees Duffy, Duffy will end up in the hospital and Tami will end up in jail, I hope Duffy whoops her sorry ass all over "Islam".
  20. My husband constantly get calls from bill collectors for somebody named Tyesha. We've told them a hundred times that they have the wrong number but he still gets calls at least a couple of times a week.
  21. That's weird Bilgistic, I use Rite Aid and when I call in a refill I have to punch in my phone number every single time. If Walmarts refill line is anything like Rite Aid I don't see how that can keep happening. How annoying! My granddaughter is 8 now and my grandson will be 5 in two weeks. I cherish every single second because I know how fast it goes. I have them come over for visits and sleepovers whenever I can because I know there will come a day when they will have better things to do than hang out with grandma. I'm dreading that day. I would seriously give up almost anything to be able to go back and raise my kids all over again. It went so damn fast.
  22. Yes!! Rocks and flowers/weeds. I have a pocket full of both every time we go outside.
  23. This reminds me of my favorite story about my dad. His job required him to drive around the county all day. One day he drove past a house with a little girl sitting in the driveway with a table all set up and she was selling rocks. Just plain old rocks that she picked up off the ground, she had a sign with prices that were all just scribbles. My dad said she was probably 3 or 4 and she was just so cute that he stopped and bought five dollars worth of rocks from her. Her mom was sitting nearby watching and she came out and thanked him, she'd been sitting there all day so upset that nobody wanted her rocks, she told him the girl was saving up to buy a carriage for her new dolly and got the idea to have a rock sale. He said the girl was so happy that someone finally bought them.
  24. She loves the sun. It's in the triple digits today so I had to make her come in so she didn't get too hot. She did not want to come in but I coaxed her with some doggy ice cream. She's just too cute, she's so goofy that she keeps me laughing, she really thinks she's a big dog. She loves to cuddle too, she slept on the pillow right up against me all night and when I'm sitting down she and the cat fight over my lap. I love her so much already. Edit: Please excuse the condition of my yard, this section is a small side yard that is the dog bathroom area.
  25. She has a huge personality. She has made herself right at home. Trixie is a little unsure of her but Granny wants to play with her so bad, she keeps going up to Trix and doing that little pounce thing dogs do when they play. Trixie just runs away from her. She's so spry, I had some dog stairs from when I had my other Chihuahua, I put the stairs next to the bed but she ignored them and hopped on the bed by herself. She has chosen my body pillow as her bed so I guess I have to buy a new one for me. I took her to my vet this morning, her hearing is going but other than that he said she's in perfect health. @Bastet, it's always been in my plans to adopt a senior, the timing was just never right. The rescue had an adoption event over the weekend and my friend was going in to the city yesterday so I just went with her. The timing was perfect as I'm doing really well physically and have no major medical stuff happening in the near future so it all worked out great. I already had an approved application with them so it was smooth sailing.
