I love to see alumni return, especially for a redemption challenge. F*ck Covid! And, of all the reasons that I would never be able to last even one day of one of these challenges, the bugs would have to top the list. To be constantly attacked by millions of flying, biting insects sounds like true hell on earth. You have to be extremely mentally strong to overcome something like that, and if you take away sleep, forget about it.

I was a bit relieved to see no poop-filled non-working toilets and dead animals with maggots crawling all over them, holes in the roof and rat feces. It was a halfway doable operation, except dude seemed more interested in witty banter than letting go of anything.

Watching them all discuss things as they happened for all of us almost a year ago was more boring than usual. We've been there, done that, it feels like ancient history already. For once something happened no different for them because they're polygamists. And, polygamy was decriminalized. Yay. Boring. Boring. Boring. Kody's hair never stops looking totally ridiculous.

Catching up on the comments here, but I can't help but wonder if Chris got paid endorsements from Benz and the chicken place . . . And, settle down Clara! It's been three weeks, get yourself a BOB and give Ryan some room to breathe.

Just reminiscing on how this series started off. This family appeared to have it all figured out, except for the finances. Along comes TLC and PAYDIRT! They get to showcase their lovely selves, their lovely lives and lovely family. Increase awareness of this fabulous lifestyle and pay off some bills in the process. Their first paychecks may have seemed like manna from heaven. Then, things started turning. More money, more wants, more demands, more ugliness creeping through the Mona Lisa smiles. Fast forward to today and this family is full of misery and unhappiness and STILL not enough money. Talk about selling your souls . . .

Yep, when you're "afraid you might fall in love and be happy" the first thing you do is sign up to get married on a reality show. Makes. No. Effing. Sense. I wish we could rewind this season and start over with four couples.

Chris: Paige, I want you to meet my ex so you (and all of America) can see how FINE she is and why I am not attracted to you. You just don't meet my very high standards. Paige: Oh, that's fine Chris. I'm over all this and wish you the best. Seeya. Ex: Wait just a minute, I'm over Chris, too! I don't want him! Emptyhanded Chris: This did not go the way I planned. SOOOO SATISFYING TO WATCH!!!

This in a nutshell. Dr. Phil gave the same advice I was telling my television 15 minutes in - you two need to go your own separate ways, there is NO HOPE FOR YOU. I may have missed it by not watching very carefully, but did anyone ever speak to the neighbors to get their side of the story???

I was thinking the same. I think that if she had any serious complications it would have been reported by now. The upside is *MAYBE* being sick and hospitalized helped her to lose some weight. And Gage is a very cute baby!

I really hope these couples re-watch these episodes, they could learn a lot! The whole dust-up at the restaurant would've been avoided because Eric and VA wouldn't have missed the serious repentant convo from Chris. As it was, Eric/VA were still revved up from the bus ride brouhaha and a few more cocktails in, and they were ready to rumble and put Chris in his place. Once again, bad timing that could've been totally avoided. But then, the producers prolly knew that already and held them up for the sake of the big "D" (Drama). Does anyone else get the impression that Chris has a pattern of acting like an *ss and then apologizing with all the right lingo? He seems very good at it. And Paige, is shell-shocked and can't put a thought together to realize that just minutes before Chris told her he's falling in love with HER, he told her that he loves his ex and is considering going back to her now that she is pregnant. This guy is full of sh*t and believes his own stories. Eric's true colors are slowly surfacing now that the alcohol-haze is running its course and real life is looming. He seems to be very controlling and the age/maturity difference has given him the role of rule-maker/enforcrer. Honeymoon is DEFINITELY over for Jake and Haley. I blame them both. I am forever shaking my head at these people who go on a show to "shake things up and try something different" yet revert to their old habits time and time again. And the group meeting without Jake, with the hell?!?! That was just cruel and hurtful!

I wonder if we will ever find out what Ronald had to get out of the wall in Legarski's house. He sure is slippery!

I'm struggling to put this into words, but I'm gonna try. Eric seems to have had issues in the past where his ladies don't like him being gone so much. His relationships fizzle and wither apparently because he can't be there to give the necessary attention to the relationship. So, Eric has found the perfect solution, to get the show to find him someone to marry without knowing anything about this particular issue (or anything else for that matter). It does seem like a good answer to that problem, even if it does feel a bit like "entrapment". It could work.

MAFS Social Media, Spoilers & Speculation

Awww, these two make me smile! And then there's poor Paige . . . -
Did that girl (triplet) come directly from the dentist where she had an injection of novocaine in her upper lip? It looked like it was hard for her to talk with no control over her lip. That's all I got, except they all seemed to be there for the TV exposure.

I did a spit-take when Amber told Leah that she, too, can have a big fancy house in a big fancy neighborhood, just like the one Amber bought and was forced to give to Andrew. "You just have to work hard". OMG. The rest of the show was boring as hell, especially since I was watching in real time and couldn't FF through the Cheyenne scenes like I usually do.

Curious, what is it that makes Brittney's grandma's belly so pregnant-looking?

I couldn't warm up to Katherine Heigl in this part and really wish they would have found someone else. I think Katherine Heigl is a great actress and she lived up to my very high expectations as Stephanie Plum in Janet Evanovich's "One For The Money". She fell short here and this series could have been superb with the right actress in that part. That said, I enjoyed the music and sang along throughout! I'll watch another season to find out what Tully did that was so very terribly horrible. I didn't like the way it jumped time back and forth so much, but it did keep my attention.

I though Cate did a decent job with heavy supervision, but I can't believe anyone could support a family by tattooing eyebrows.

That wasn't even a baby shower - it was the gender reveal! I don't even want to know if there was a follow-up baby shower. Seriously, are we supposed to feel sorry for gramps-to-be for throwing this ridiculous over-the-top party and then cry about having to take on a second job??? These people seriously live in an alternate reality!

The weddings are always the best episodes of the season. Everyone is all happy and hopeful and on their (somewhat) best behavior. I can't remember which father of the bride it was (one of the black ones), he was NOT a happy camper - had a stern miserable look every time the camera came his way. Jamie O has come a long way in her interviewing/moderator skillz. She asked thoughtful questions and had appropriate responses. Kudos to whoever wrote the questions. Jamie, like so many moms, has added some lbs. She still looks great considering. She also did a good job turning down the perky and slowing down her speech a bit. Please, please, PLEASE CHRIS, don't be mean to Paige! She seems very sweet, despite her freaky tendencies.

i was determined not to watch this season but couldn't figure out how to remove it from my dvr queue. Last night I decided to take a peek. Didn't Tammy supposedly have an on-line "boyfriend" at the end of last season? Unfortunately, anyone attracted to her would probably be more interested in keeping her at her current weight than encouraging her weight loss.

I think this is really all that needs to be said about this episode.

On a regular basis I finish watching and think "now, HOW did that end???" I don't really watch as carefully as I used to. And, I may have missed it, but where was Phil's admonishment about being a "mandated reporter" and the mom is allowing her other children/grandchildren to be harmed by this one kid? How is this abusive boy any different than an abusive parent???? The poor other kids are living in constant fear of being attacked and threatened with violence.

It's surprising what a completely different vibe I'm getting from this season's couples. So far I'm not rooting for any of them. First couple married, groom's idea for the mask was just a bad idea and the bride should have refused. I think most brides dream of being seen by their groom walking down the aisle toward him like a vision. Also, mask is going to mess up her makeup. Last but not least, how awkward was it to stand in front of everyone for several minutes while masked, holding some unknown sweaty hands (he mentioned his sweaty hands)? The last thing on either mind was "connecting" on an intimate level. That just got everything started off in a bad way. I wish someone would have told the bride that the last thing her groom would notice is the hem of her wedding gown for heaven's sake. And, does the "ble$$ed" guy get his hair trimmed every 15 minutes??? Why didn't SOMEONE have the guts to set him straight that looks are the LAST thing to worry about in a lifelong relationship? Yeah, dude, define "ugly" because I haven't seen one ugly bride on this show yet, and I've been watching since S1. They may have stooped to almost "average", but I haven't seen anything even close to "ugly" yet.
