Speculation Without Spoilers
mandolin replied to ghoulina's topic in The Walking Dead Franchise Shows
The preview for next week's ep shows Daryl sitting on a front porch. Scared to go inside? Scared of a normal life again? One that he was never as successful in as he has been in the post ZA life? In the prison he wouldn't even sleep in a cell initially (no idea what he did later in season 4) as he viewed it as a cage. I wonder how he'll fit in in this "civilized" community. If he doesn't go out to hunt, etc, I can't imagine what he'd do. -
Small Talk: Ughngnggh! Ugghhnnn!

I have had the same license photo since 2000. Somehow it worked out just right that it's good through 2018. I have lost weight since then, changed my hair color, and I was taking massive doses of corticosteroids at the time and looked like I had a basketball on my shoulders. I got asked for secondary id at WALMART once because they didn't think it looked like me. And yet, I won't go get a new license because of the eleventy frillion papers you have to take with you. -
I wish Rick had the time to tell Aaron even a bit of what they'd been through. I mean, Aaron sees them as a cohesive unit, as survivors even, but he has no idea that they just escaped from CANNIBALS. I get the feeling that Aaron isn't very ZA worldly. Seems like he was rarely outside any walls. The worst story he has is his mom and her weird ideas.

If anyone comes across the gif recap (like last week's) I'd love a link. I'm apparently reddit-dumb.

The Comics: Same, Yet Different

http://www.thewalkingdead.com/episode-511-panel-to-screen-comparison/ I always enjoy these. And this isn't the first time that Abraham's role and/or lines were given to someone else. (Michonne here, Daryl with the neck biting.) I wonder how long he has. -
Yeah, I watched that a couple times with a strange look on my face (I'm sure). It was awkward!

Daryl: Your Leading Man and Norman Reedus: the Actor
mandolin replied to Omar G.'s topic in The Walking Dead Franchise Shows
I just re-watched, and I do think it's just unfortunate shadowing. I am interested to see what Daryl will look like if he gets a shower. Can you imagine him dressed like Aaron? Heh. -
This episode got me. I loved it. First time in a long time I had actual feelings about things. I was anxious at times, happy at others. I laughed and clapped and cried. For me, this ep was a LONG TIME coming. I loved the call backs to stuff like Glenn and the RV. It's like a reward for those of us who were around from then and cared. Loved Rick and Michonne. And his eyes. The show has used eye shots for many different things, and it usually works for me. See, I think they could be in a romantic relationship, and it wold pretty much play out like their ship does now. They don't have to be all lovey-dovey schmoopy all the time. I think there is already respect and care, and to add sex to it wouldn't be such a big leap. I loved it too, but I was afraid Glenn and Maggie might be weird like they were when Rick, et al hacked up the cannibals. Like I said...so good. I thought Abe was afraid that Rosita feared his response, the way his wife feared him enough to run off and get herself eaten. I so wish the previews had shown Rick shaving. Part of his attractiveness to me is his mouth, and it's getting not so slowly eaten by that thing on his face. And we aren't sure what precautions they had already removed before they showed us the gate, or what extra precautions they might have at night.

Except AMC spoiled it for everyone in their viewership other than East Coast. I assume they want as many likes as possible from all time zones. Posting that Beth died at 10:00:01pm est probably wasn't the best idea (and of course they later said sorry). Since I watch day after, I am careful with my online activity, but I do like the page for things otherwise. I agree on the other stuff though. Facebook is annoying in what it shows.

. I'm with you (especially when AMC is doing the spoiling). The way people watch tv has changed. I don't watch anything live except sports. On the other hand, I avoid here like the plague until after I watch, and scroll quickly on fb if I'm there. I don't expect people not to say things. I can't imagine being a west coast viewer.

I noticed in some stills from the episode that Carl has two different shoes on. Nice continuity since "walker got my shoe didn't get me" but how annoying. Why not take both of the other pair? Gives me the willies to think about walking in two different shoes. Hello, issues.

I don't think we will see Negan this season unless it is the finale. I kind of hope they spend some down time in ASZ. So many new characters there. In fact, I wonder if they'll spend the rest of the season getting to ASZ and the last shot of the season will show a bustling community. Maybe with Douglas. I am hesitant about all the new characters. Hopefully a lot of extras. I can't remember exactly when Glenn meets Negan. How long after the ASZ intro? -
Beth: You're going to miss me when I'm gone...
mandolin replied to diebartdie's topic in The Walking Dead Franchise Shows
I agree. Stop putting her on an undeserved pedestal. No matter how many times they say it, I won't miss her because of those supposed characteristics. I just thought about it, and the only somewhat nostalgic emotion I get surrounding her death is because she was from Season 2 (some of my favorite episodes). She existed when the show was at its peak (or one of its peaks, for me). So, it's "sad" that a remnant from those days is gone. Other than that, I got nuthin'. -
I die. Loved those. Is there is a link to the main page of those things for the future?

I literally just cackled. And I'm not sure I can even imagine it. -

You mean they'd do the things Negan did? Whoa. I care little about Glenn these days (and Daryl unless he's with Rick) so that would be something! -

Re: Windows 8. I read somewhere that Microsoft is going to release Windows 10 FOR FREE to users of 8 (and prior?), and that it will be more like 7, XP, etc (start button). You know, like other manufacturers have done with os updates for years. (and yes, please read my italicized text with complete sarcasm) -

I'll be sure to miss that ep. :P But wouldn't Lori or Dale have been better given that description? -

That's good. I thought the first ep was a bit of a snooze. -

Is be surprised if the show introduced the whisperers already since that arc is barely under way. -

I also saw online that the neighborhood Shane and Andrea went too looking for Sophia was Wiltshire Estates, hence the "Shirewilt" this ep. I do think they try to throw in subtle nods to the comics often. -
Oh, I get it. I am invested in a number of the characters as well and do enjoy Talking Dead for the most part, especially when my favorites are on. I guess maybe Chris has started to get on my nerves (I would expect an actor to be sad but not to the point of "we need to see that he's okay" - well, maybe I should rewatch when EK was on for that type of drama) and quite often seems to take himself and his show a bit too seriously (and I realize that's my opinion and everyone will feel differently). And I'm rambling. :P
