  1. It's odd that none of the (now ex-)wives were ever suspects. Since this wasn't the final episode, I think the scummy doc is NOT the culprit, but that someone planted the evidence in his house. I don't know if his ex-wife had access to the house, but she seems the most likely murderer to me. Cassie is concerned that her dad is developing dementia (left the stove on) and that the girlfriend is a golddigger. How much money does he really have, though? They're not exactly living in a mansion.
  2. I'm assuming Zander's henchmen found two already dead bodies and put them in the car. However, if they're able to identify them as an adult male and a female child, they'd also be able to check their dental records, and maybe even DNA, and find out that it's NOT Holly. It shouldn't take more than a week or so for the Salem medical examiner to figure this out.
  3. Reem is entertaining, but she's TERRIBLE at Survivor. If she's still hoping to get back in the game, why is she doing everything possible to alienate the jury?
  4. Having only seen the musical, and not read the book, I don't understand how Petit-Gervais would have been able to name Jean Valjean as the man who robbed him. He MIGHT have been able to recognize on sight the robber, but wouldn't have known his name. So how is THIS the reason that not-Jean Valjean was arrested?
  5. I think they film on Friday, so the Sri Lanka attacks hadn't happened yet. The fire at Notre Dame had, but I'm not sure what they could have done to make that funny.
  6. Julia was the right choice. She's much better at challenges than Aurora and seems to have better strategic chops. Until tonight, I thought she had a decent social game, but she really blew that up at Tribal (not that Aurora covered herself in glory there, either, but Julia was even worse).
  7. We don't know that they're NOT trying to fish. We just know that they don't seem to have any fish. For all we know, they could be spending hours a day trying to catch fish, but because they're not catching any, the editors aren't showing it.
  8. Mrs Wilson on Masterpiece features two GoT alumni: Ian Glenn (Ser Jorah Mormont) as Alec Wilson, and Ian McIhinney (Ser Barriston Selmy) as Father Timothy.
  9. It was in the holiday special. Not sure if it's on Netflix, but my PBS station showed it right before this episode, so it may be on the PBS website or on demand.
  10. It was my impression that the prosthetics were SIMULATING "actual" body modifications that the artist dreamed up for his future world. So, yes, they were removable, but we were supposed to pretend that they were not.
  11. And d) He would throw a hissy fit and target you if you didn't go along with him.
  12. I don't think Kelley KNOWS that David has tried to get her booted. He's never voted for her and hasn't even pushed her ouster with the Warthog. He waited for the Warthog to suggest Kelley and agreed with him, but backed off when the Warthog "changed" his mind.
  13. Not that I'm particularly sympathetic to the universities involved in this scandal, but they appear to have been the victims of greedy faculty members who pocketed bribes to lie about "athletes" so that the applicants would be admitted to the school.
  14. Brady is the son of John and Isabella. Eric is the son of Roman and Marlena. Rex is the son of Roman and Kate (with Marlena as the surrogate). So Rex and Eric are half brothers and Brady and Eric are stepbrothers. Rex and Brady are not related to each other, but are both related to Eric.
  15. Mr. Shin isn't in Salem, he's in Hong Kong. They just talk to him on the phone when they need a representative of the DiMira "Board" to pipe up.
  16. There's a lot more to a movie than the acting. I would argue that a poorly written movie shouldn't be the "best" of the year, even if the acting is great. And if it's poorly edited, it might not make much sense to the viewer. Poor cinematography might make it difficult to see what's going on, etc. And the best performance of the year might not have been in the best movie (and often isn't). Or the movie might not have had a "lead" actor at all (like THE FAVOURITE, or ROMA, which only had female leads).
  17. I agree that they need to include more people in the "In Memoriam" segment, but I think they should include MORE of the "behind the scenes" people. They're the reason we can watch the movies, and they don't get enough credit while they're alive, either. I was particularly irked that they didn't even list the winners of the technical awards. Why bother talking about the ceremony if they're not going to say anything about the winners?
  18. Pedro Pascal (Oberon Martell) is in IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK as a friend of the male lead.
  19. What does Jordan think will happen if she kills Ciara while Ben is in police custody? Wouldn't that rule him out as the kidnapper/murderer and lead to his release? And if she left Kate alive, Kate will tell everyone (Rafe?) that Jordan drugged her. I know Jordan is supposed to be crazy, but they've never suggested that she's stupid (until now).
  20. As an infectious disease epidemiologist, I'm very familiar with John Snow (not to be confused with Jon Snow from GAME OF THRONES). He's considered the father of epidemiology AND anesthesiology. Truly a man ahead of his time. There's a John Snow Pub near the site of the Broad Street Pump in London, and a John Snow Society that gives an annual epidemiology award in conjunction with the Epidemiology Section of the American Public Health Association.
  21. Ok, maybe JJ hasn't told Jack Hayley's secret yet, but it's clear that he's about to do so. And it's a REALLY bad idea.
  22. Hayley should NOT have trusted JJ. And JJ should NOT have told Jack Hayley's secret. If he needed someone to talk to, why not Marlena or Eric?
  23. If they recast with Lauren Bowles, all will be forgiven. Is she old enough yet?
  24. Is Victoria's mother still alive and at the palace? If so, why wasn't she there when her elder daughter showed up?
  25. She should have said that in Australia, graduation IS in the fall.
