  1. I don't see how Ruth's actions would be considered murder. Snow had just set fire to her church, killing her adopted son. Now he's holding a gun on Cullen. Shooting him was entirely justified. And Snow's actions were clearly murderous, both before he was "deputized" and after. He IS a child killer (twice). He knew that Ruth and Ezra were in the church (along with a lot of other people), and he barred the doors and set it on fire, shooting at anyone trying to escape. The expected consequence of this is the death of everyone inside, including Ezra. The fact that nearly everyone else got out doesn't mitigate his crimes.
  2. Michelle Fairley (ex-Catlyn Stark) is a regular on RESURRECTION, playing the (un)dead grandmother of Jacob, the first of the "returned" on the show. She's a bit shady, but intersting to watch.
  3. I've been watching this show my entire adult life. And, despite it's awfulness, I'll probably keep watching until they finally cancel it. <SIGH>
  4. Jawn will decide that Theresa is the lesser of two evils and he'll keep silent as long as she keeps Brady away from Kristen.
  5. I USED to like Jennifer, when she was a spunky cub reporter and fell in love with Jack. Since her most recent return, she's been intolerable.
  6. So both John Rocker and Val are idiots (as is the rest of the tribe if they believed Val had TWO idols). All Rocker had to do was to make sure he was assigned to vote for Val, and then vote for Baylor. But, no, he just told Val to play her nonexistent idol. Which he should have known she didn't have since he found it. And if she had told him she was bluffing about the idol, they might have come up with another plan. I'm 99% certain he won't see the blindside coming and will go out with the idol in his pocket.
  7. The singletons will target the remaining pairs, but if the pairs "pair up" they'll target the singletons. So it all depends upon who has the numbers (and who is willing to "betray" their "loved one" or alliance mates).
  8. Ok, it's time to start the strategy discussion for the current season. Now that one "Twinnie" has been eliminated, I think the other one should be safe for a LONG time. Her only allegiance is to her current tribe, and she should stick to them like glue. If they're smart, they'll keep her around at least until the merge.
  9. I'm not sure about Louise's motivation here. I think there are four possibilties: 1. She's in on Cullen's plan and did it to distract. I don't think Cullen asked her to seduce the Governor, I'm pretty sure that part was her idea. 2. She did it to get closer to a source, who she's planning to destroy in print once she has enough information about him. 3. She did it to get closer to the power in town, which would somehow improve her situation. 4. She just wanted to have sex with him. Of these, I think #3 is highly unlikely, and #4 only slightly less so.
  10. I don't blame JL. I'm pretty sure she's being DIRECTED to act this way. It's also the way the script is written. If she didn't look so guilty, no one would suspect that she did it and there'd be no story.
  11. Marlena ALWAYS chooses John over her children. When Sami thought Johnny was dead, she couldn't be bothered to leave John to even TALK to her daughter, much less offer her any comfort. And Marlena and John are DIVORCED now, so he shouldn't be anything to her. I guess the only surprise is her willingness to throw golden boy Eric under the bus along with Sami.
  12. I know, but he just sounds weird and fake. Perhaps he's been doing a different accent for too long or something. Everyone else sounds believably Irish (and I was just in Ireland last week, so I know what they should sound like) and like one another.
  13. Aidan Gillen has a supporting role in the Irish film, Calvary: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2234003/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ov_st_sm His Irish accent is really bad. And I'm not sure he's supposed to come off as smarmy as he does. The rest of the cast, however, is excellent.
  14. We don't know who John is anymore. When they need to make him someone for plot purposes, they'll come up with yet another retcon.
  15. I liked RoboJohn as well. MUCH better than "real" John. I think DH tries, but he can't act. RoboJohn was within his acting ability. His interactions with his granddaughter were really great, too.
  16. I remember the PBS series OPPENHEIMER, which covered the same story, but as a docudrama. It is possible to do, but I guess they wanted to distinguish their show from this. Still, it's jarring to have them interact with the "real" people but be fictional constructs themselves.
  17. I think the reason Sami hasn't posted the photos (and video, if there is one) all over town, on the internet, etc. is to protect her children. Surely Johnny and Sydney (and Alli to a lesser extent) would be upset by this, and by all the talk about it they'd be sure to hear. I don't understand why Lucas is giving Abigail a pass on this. Surely he remembers what she did to his brother and sister in law? I remember that when the truth about Abigail and Austen came out, Jack was very hard on his precious daughter. Too bad Jennifer hasn't learned any parenting skills.
  18. Yes, it was (I checked IMDB). He's playing a terrible character that I expect to end up murdered by one of his equally terrible children, or Rafe (who's in love with one of said children). So don't get your hopes up that he'll stick around for too long.
  19. So the whole "deal" between Jenn and Eve is dead because St. Jennifer doesn't want to try to get the best price for the movie rights? She's too holy to negotiate for the filthy lucre and wants a "quality" ilm instead? Doesn't she realize that she can probably sell the rights many, many times before anyone gets around to actually MAKING a movie? And a better deal means more money for "the veterans" (and Eve), so it sounds like a win-win to me. Her Hollywood agent must be an idiot! LOVED the Sami scenes today. AS was really on fire! I might actually miss her.
  20. Why are we supposed to be on Jenn's side in Eve's lawsuit? Eve married Jack to get HER inheritance, which Jack used to save the SPECTATOR. So it was her money all along. If all she got out of the annullment was a promise of half of Jack's "long form" income (which he expected to be $0) and then he actually wrote a successful book, she should get her share. The "veterans" will still get their half, and Jenn, JJ and Abigail don't lose anything! And not that it matters, but Eve is planning to use the money to pay for her surgery so that she can go back to her singing career and to send her daughter (JJ's girlfriend) to Stanford. Both of which seem like worthy projects.
  21. You would think that Kate, a former abused wife and mother of abused children herself, would be more careful about outing Jordan to her abuser.
  22. I like Ann, too. Her hatred of Jenn is a bit over the top, but well-earned. She really brings the snark, in which the show is otherwise sorely lacking (except for Pop Up Victor). And she looks like a "real" woman instead of a botoxed, plastic surgery, anorexia horror show, and dresses appropriately for her age.
  23. The absolute low point was when Sami thought her child was dead and Marlena couldn't tear herself away from John long enough to stop by and check on her daughter.
  24. So what happens to Johnny and Sydney when both their parents leave the show? Do they stay with Wilson and Ari in a new house? Do they stay with grandpa Stefano? Or are we going to lose them altogether? I'd REALLY miss Johnny! Ali can stay with Lucas, but she's always been the least interesting of Sami's kids.
  25. I think it's a new uniform. The other guy behind the bar was wearing the same thing.
