I think that, with respect to Janelle, Kody saying he "never loved" his OG3 wives is a way to save face, like "You're leaving me? Well great, because I never loved you!" Fwiw, I believe him when he says he never loved Christine - but I'm sure he loved that she took care of all the kids and "kept sweet" while Janelle brought in income. Not sure whether he ever loved Meri, but possibly when he got to know her after their short courtship and quick marriage, he discovered things about her personality that he didn't like. In any case, it was clear from the beginning that the way he felt about Robyn was very different from how he felt about his other wives after the 15+ years he'd been married to them by the time Robyn showed up.

I think what Kody is most upset about is that Christine is the center of the family and not him. She always was but it was never so obvious, and if he watches the show it's essentially rubbed in his face every episode. It must have been a real knife to his kidneys (and ego) if he watched any part of the wedding episode. I believe there were two main (non-covid) reasons he didn't go to Ysabel's surgery: 1.) He didn't want to spend an extended amount of time around Christine and 2.) He refused to accept the reality that the surgery was a dire necessity (her curve had progressed to a point where it could have affected major organ functions) and not a whim. I agree the least he could have done was facetime her. And if he were a responsible dad, he would have put aside his loathing of Christine and helped out during her recovery in Flagstaff.

Probably to keep the "art" out of view too (I don't find those paintings aesthetically appealing - they're just not to my taste).

I would imagine the children would feel slighted if they got to know Kody and then never heard from him again (or only infrequently). Maddie has saved them from this hurt by cutting Kody out of their lives. By contrast, Janelle is a reliable, loving presence in their lives. Inconsistency can make children - or anyone - feel "less than." Madison seems to be a great mom. On the clothing subject, I used to have a floral blouse from Loft that I really liked. It was low-cut without being what I consider immodest. A very funny guy I worked with at that time, once described it as "your sofa-colored shirt" LOL. I still wore it but always with that in mind. He made a lot of digs at everybody, that was sort of his thing, and it was so funny (and apt) that I didn't resent him for it. However it was not polyester. I try to avoid that stuff. I even have an all-cotton fleece hoodie now, which is so much more comfortable than synthetic "fleece." Better for the environment too!

They also borrowed at least $150K more on it after they bought it - so add that on to the mortgage debt (although it may have been a HELOC, idk). I could see them getting offers in the 1.2-1.3 M range. What a nuisance to have to have water trucked in!

I wear compression knee-high socks when doing a lot of walking. I like the Sockwell brand best. They have lots of different styles/colors. Some are easier to remove than others. The ones with the highest compression (20-30 mm) are very difficult to take off. They even have one with a toe separator to help with bunions. I also have a few Bombas socks. I love the company, but their high compression socks are even more difficult to take off than the Sockwells, and they don't have much variety in the lower (15-20 mm) ones. I was bummed at first at the idea of having to wear them but the styles and colors of the Sockwells actually cheered me up lol. I've got floral, cat, stripe, dotted etc. and they offer seasonal styles as well.

Do you have a Hepa air purifier? When we had smoke from the Canadian wildfires here in NY last fall, I bought two - one for the living room and one for the bedroom. Mine are Levoit brand. You do have to change the filters more often than what the product information states, but they really help. I have asthma and really wouldn't have gotten through those weeks without them. ETA: I would probably get one for the kitties' house too if I were in your place....

@TurtlePower So glad to see you back and on the mend! I've missed your posts. What an ordeal you've been through. An acquaintance of mine had babesiosis (lives on Long Island too by coincidence) and had a terrible time with it due to misdiagnosis. But to have heart problems and major back issues on top of that sounds absolutely horrid. Best wishes for better days ahead and glad to know you were able to run 5 miles the other day!

Wow, that is amazing! I forgot about the sifter boxes - I only used the pine for a short time.

@Gramto6 You have so much going on that I almost didn't reply, but wanted to let you know that I recently discovered Pretty Litter. I don't know if it's environmentally friendly like the pine, but the amazing thing about it is that urine kind of dissolves when you go to scoop it, so you end up only scooping the poop! It's very lightweight also. I don't know the cost but thought it might be an alternative if the pine ends up being too heavy when used. Good luck with your hand surgery and I hope the pain from the dental work lessens soon!

@Gramto6 I've enjoyed reading the garage-transformation and cat trapping saga immensely. You and your friend are amazing and it does my heart good to know what you've done for these kitties. As a fellow cat-lover, I salute you! I hope you can both get some proper rest now that this project is complete - but I know you will still be putting in a lot of work every day, feeding, cleaning, replenshing supplies and on and on (I've had some experience of those big Chewy boxes!). Thank you for the daily updates on all of this - and the wonderful photos of the reconstruction and the cats!

Very late to the party here, but I recommend Xtrema cookware. It is similar to LeCreuset, but totally non-toxic. They have sales all the time and the prices I believe are overall less than LeCreuset. I have the baking pan, a large saucepan and the 9-inch skillet.

I'll miss this forum when the show ends, but I have to agree. I hope the Browns collectively refuse to capitalize on this tragedy. If they refuse to film, the show will end, or TLC will have to resort to clip shows if they want to keep milking it. I understand if the adult children want to continue to capitalize via their social media/Patreon etc. but that is different from the parents continuing the show. I feel strongly that the kids have every right to get whatever income they can, since they did not have a say as to whether or not they wanted to be filmed before they came of age.
