Goodness, so much was wrong with the Meri/Robyn discussion. Boo hoo, Robyn had one month where Kody wasn't around much. Meri had a decade or more of that. It did seem that Robyn cried actual tears this time in her TH, though it was so ironic that she went on about wanting to know who "blew up my family." Mirror, mirror on the wall.... ETA It was not entirely her fault that Kody was with her more than the others - that's on him. But I do think she enabled a lot of his behavior.

Omg lol I completely forgot until today (when I was in the shower, of all things) that we already saw Avalon's birth last season. I forget when the twins were born - maybe Nov 2022?

Speculation here: viewers seem to be tiring of the "Kody and Robyn" show, the scenes with Kody and his bros, and so forth. If the show doesn't step it up, I think we're looking at ratings cratering. I'm beginning to think this will be the last season, with TLC using any remaining footage for something like a "wedding special" featuring Christine and David, with Kody's butt-hurt reactions. I just don't see how the show can continue, after this week's dreadful episode. We'll see Avalon's birth soon but it's gonna feature Robyn casting a pall over the blessed event. With most of the OG kids not participating (which is more than understandable, and certainly healthier for them in the long run) and the adults with not much left to say about polygamy and each other, there's not much content of any interest whatsoever. I love Truely scenes but I hope she puts her foot down and refuses to pander to her parents' need for underage kid content. I wish Sol would be able to do so as well, but alas it seems he doesn't have much choice but to do what he's told.

There is a quick shot in the last clip of the later Christmas, where Truely is opening a package from Meri and looks pleased (you can tell it's from Meri because it's a blanket and pajamas). However, Meri did not appear to be present that day.

Leon was never mentioned. Possibly their preference. Same with Logan. Dayton exclaimed something about "redneck motorcycles" when the motorbikes were revealed. It was quick and easy to miss.

Imo this was hands down the worst episode of this show yet. Even including the multiple covid-era outdoor discussions among the adults. Worse than that. Hard to label a show with snippets of Gabe/Garrison/Savanah on the couch, and the siblings playing in the snow the worst, but the whole Nathan thing, the crepes, the amount of airtime allotted to Kody's TH, SolnAri on the couch - just appallingly bad. Sol seems like a kind and gentle soul - I felt badly for him having to submit to that interview.

Gwen mentioned in one of her videos that she went to her friend's for Christmas 2021. The unspoken reason is that Paedon was part of the group at their mom's house, and after that at the post-Christmas "rental" in Flagstaff. Also I believe the joke she reportedly made during the Christmas gift exchange text thread, that got misinterpreted (acc. to Christine last week it made things worse).

Also at this time (Nov/Dec 2021) Solomon was 10 years old.

It made me think of when Kody and Robyn announced their "legal marriage" to Janelle and Christine. Janelle was visibly shocked, and only managed to make a comment about taxes. Then later she tells Kody she knows it's not "logical" but she has concerns about the "change in the family structure." I think she knew enough not to trust Robyn with the purse strings, but may have forcibly blinded herself to the reality after the move to Flagstaff.

I don't disagree, but I cannot wrap my head around how they trusted a nanny to come and go, but none of their family members (except the 5 tenders).

Am I mis-remembering, or is Nathan in some way related to Meri? Her sister's husband maybe? I feel bad for Meri, to some extent she made her bed (by being unkind to Janelle and Christine), but I'm sure she misses the other non-Robyn kids.

I watched a few minutes of her "Fridays with Friends" today, which took place last night while she and a female friend were walking in the Times Sq. area. So funny they announced they had dinner at Junior's Restaurant. Junior's is famous for its cheesecake but there are so many great restaurants in that area and they ate at a total tourist trap. Boring! They were on their way to see the Neil Diamond bio show "Beautiful Noise." I'm glad she has friends though.

All I can see in these outdoor scenes is Robyn wearing a $1500 Canada Goose brand coat.

Iirc she wanted to resume her studies so she could work with teens in a counseling role. She took one or two classes for a semester. During that time the catfish saga began and Meri eventually quit. But there was a scene where Robyn acted like Meri was abandoning her and - horrors! - might have a life where the family (aka Robyn) was not going to be Meri's sole focus. Then Robyn whined to Kody she couldn't possibly have another child because of the huge "workload" of her joory business, if she would no longer have Meri's full-time help.

This is similar to Robyn being oh so upset when Meri wanted to go back to school. No one can have a life outside of her orbit apparently.

I missed the live discussion, but I read through all the comments just to see what you all would say about the "daddy-daughter" ear piercing outing. The collective commentary was far more scintillating than the footage.

They're tourists, it's raining, Truely likes wearing knitted hats. It seems like her trademark of the moment. She looks happy!

I didn't mean to seem like I was picking on you. I didn't listen to the video that closely, as I've said, and I previously noted that I was wrong about the "2 hours late." It seemed to me that an "unlisted" video on youtube was the property of the creator and the decision to share it publicly would be up to them. So I said I would not have posted it. I won't be posting any more on the topic of this video.
