  1. 5,750 steps yesterday. Mama Millie decided to be a lap cat most of the afternoon so actually was able to get more rest than normal. Today will start to tackle cleaning up garage while weather is nice.
  2. So sorry to heat this shocking news! RIP sweet Garrison! I do hope Gabe is able to get some counseling. To be the one to find his brother is heartbreaking. My condolences to all of the family. I hope somehow they can put aside all the differences and are able to join together and grieve together for the loss of this beautiful soul. I also think donating to a shelter in his name is a lovely way to honor his memory.
  3. @CheshireCatThanks!! I just watched it!! Need to watch the first epi too. Thanks again!
  4. I can't believe it didn't, also some shards could easily have been in the bottle! They may have done some "camera" magic to switch the bottles/pans??
  5. Dang! I missed it! I am still stuck in the old Tuesday night schedule...I need to mark Mondays on my calendar for a while until I get used to it!!
  6. Late to post... 7,918 steps yesterday. Shopping always adds steps, and then in the evening Mama Millie played one of her hiding tricks. I went throughout the house several times calling her and checking her normal hideouts. Then I was afraid she had gone out when I was cleaning the heated water bowl for the outside kitties so I searched the yard calling her and went all around the house. No luck. Gave up in frustration decided if she was out, she would be all night as she had been before. But she is older 8 or 9 and has had so many litters she isn't going to last many Winters outside. I walked inside and there she was sitting by the fridge with a "You looking for me?" look on her face. Brat! She wasn't cold so she had been hiding inside. Expended a lot of steps searching...guess I am a worry wart when it comes to her.
  7. 4,565 steps yesterday. Achey especially hands and knees. Hope the snow stays away for a while so I can rest up. I need to make a cat food run as I don't think Chewy order is going to get out of Reno on schedule. Garbage gathering and taking can to road is about all I have on agenda for today.
  8. I too am sorry for your losses. Sending (((HUGS))) to both of you and good thoughts to help you through this difficult time.
  9. Thanks! From what little I know about new phones at this point, I think the SE is closest in size to the 7, I really don't want anything much larger. LOL, I just looked at my storage capacity, I've had this phone since I think 2018 and I have only used 27.5GB of the 128GBs I have. Guess I'm not taking good advantage of my phones abilities! I do very little on it, a few calls, few texts, few photos, read emails and Kindle sometimes. I'm almost embarrassed to say, I carry it all the time as my "Help I've Fallen..." device. I have balance issues and frequently fall. I did have to use my phone's emergency button in Dec 2022, when I fell and couldn't get up. The most embarrassing phone call ever: "I've fallen and can't get up!" EMT's were here in less than 10 minutes! Anyway, it is the only phone I have, so I do need it to be working so I have to plan ahead in case the 7 gives up on me. My needs are few for the phone so don't need a lot of bells and whistles. I learned some things in this discussion that I wasn't aware of re the upgrades. Glad we had this talk!!
  10. Just for older hands, even w/out the nighttime puzzles! I didn't realize the newer phones were that far ahead OS wise. Could you share those links? I too want to be ready if my 7 up and dies on me. Or if I worry too much about it, and decide to just get a new one and at the same time switch to Consumer Cellular... Thanks!
  11. I have an iPhone 7 and just completed an upgrade to OS 15.8.1 with no problem. Could this be a bit newer model than yours? Am I going to be having the same issue soon? I really love the size of the 7 and don't want to have to get a bigger phone just because I need to do updates to stay current...sigh. Obviously tech challenged here...
  12. 5,210 steps yesterday. Feeling a bit off so really tried to take it easy. I'm going for the same today. Can't afford to get sick now with all the dental work coming on the 8th. Sure is nice to see light outside this early (7:10AM) again, temp is 22° and a very light dusting of snow. Makes going out to feed kitties so much nicer.
  13. Awww, I just can't imagine not having these great conversations with all my friends here! I hope PT can continue on as the "family" I have always felt it to be! Just like any family, we may not always agree, but we always respect each other's opinions. I would miss everyone here and on the other threads I frequent!!
  14. 7,091 steps yesterday. There was only just above an inch of snow yesterday, but I cleared the decks and paths as it is easier to do when it is fresh and light. Better to stay on top of it and not let it freeze hard overnight. Will do the same if more snow today, otherwise I will try to take it easy.
  15. That is so great!! You have every right to be proud of yourself! Are you still being followed by a dr.? Sounds like a great plan to go until your body says stop, and not push yourself trying to get to some "magical" number. Yay for you!!! (((HUGS)))
  16. 6,556 steps yesterday. The errands brought the count up, the wind kept my going out and checking that things weren't blowing away. Today's forecast is 42°/28° with flurries AM and maybe rain/snow later in day. Winds not as bad as yesterday. Heavy snow for mountains, maybe only an inch or two here. From what I can see outside right now (7AM) less than 1" of snow and 30°. I hope the forecast is right! My hands just can't take too much more shoveling! Will begin work on cat section of garage once weather settles. On the 8th, I have dentist appointment for 6 crowns to be done. That is not going to be fun!!
  17. Ziva will always be a favorite of mine, but I got really tired of Tony's juvenile behavior. Especially his bad behavior towards Tim. He came across to me like a "dog in heat" around every pretty woman and often his female co-workers too. Frankly I was glad to see him go. I might watch it once to see how it is written and if Tony has finally grown up. But it only gets once chance to make me a viewer.
  18. 6,015 steps yesterday. Made a quick grocery, PO and pharmacy run early. Rain and high winds coming so want to miss them if possible. Thanks @Pickleinthemiddle! I try to take it easy but it seems the Universe always has slightly different plans. Along with the wind and possible rain we are having very Spring-like temps, today is supposed to be 50°/28°. We get rain in the valley but higher elevations are getting a lot of snow in places.
  19. I'll second that!! This format was very unfair to the earlier contestants!
  20. 5,778 steps yesterday. Hoping for a calm day so I can start going through things to get rid of. Supposed to be another storm coming through tomorrow with lots of snow in the mountains, fortunately not much impact in the valleys. Except for high winds again. Ugh! As much as I dislike the bitter cold, I HATE the wind!!
  21. Ah, thanks for the id. Ysabel sure does look like Truely in that photo!
  22. It sure looks like Truely in the black t-shirt behind Gabe(?). I could be wrong, but to me it looks like it could her... That's why I said "It looks like Truely went too..."
  23. 6,822 steps yesterday. My neighbor finally dragged the road with this huge weight and made it almost passable, I was able to get the garbage out. Yay! Was trying to take it easy and then in the afternoon, Mama Millie decided the kitchen counter would be a great place to sleep. That is the one place cats are not allowed ever! After I discovered her the first time I diverted her to another sleeping spot and sat down. Not long after she disappeared again, got up and found her lazing up on the counter again! Some very firm No's and took her in the living room with me. Rinse repeat 2 more times. Then I put things along the edge of counter thinking to deter her. Not long after there she was again! Practically built a wall of things next to discourage her. I cleared a spot on the chest I have next to the end of counter to mix cat food and she sat there looking at the cats on the deck. That seemed to please her. But for the next few hours I kept getting up. to make sure she wasn't on the counter. And thus there were more steps than I really wanted...
  24. Savanah really looks genuinely happy! Good for her! It looks like Truley went too and she looks really happy too and not as dour as she often seems. Nice to see the kids doing things together and having obvious fun!!
  25. Absolutely agree they don't need/shouldn't advertise SW at all to get occupants. If Christine feels the need to put together collages of articles on the walls, why not articles about Moab? There are a lot of beautiful places to hike or walk/stroll, and gorgeous scenery all around. I am sure there are historical articles she could find to put up on the walls about the area. This would get people interested in seeing the area and also returning to see other things they didn't have time for in the first trip. If they think Christine/SW might be some kind of a draw, just put up one of their wedding photos with the gorgeous red rock background. They could title it Christine Brown's and David Woolley's wedding. People coming just because it is Christine's will know her from the photo and can take a pix of that, if they really feel the need for verification they stayed there. SW's notoriety is not going to last years and years, where the scenery and history of the area will! Plan ahead people...
