  1. 11,577 steps yesterday. Millie cat insisted on a several long lap sessions. I've kind of been putting her off so thought I'd give her what she wanted yesterday. Besides I've had a few twinges of aches in right knee so pulling back didn't hurt me any. Still a number that amazes me when I think about where I was a couple weeks ago! Garbage up to the road and a quick PO/grocery run is all for today. Decided to put off going to town (either one) for a few days. I'm kind of enjoying the quiet and not "having" to do anything.
  2. Yes! That is what Meri needs going forward. To have a strong voice of reason beside her to see through Kody's doublespeak, wishy washy plans and crazy thinking.
  3. Oh Meri, Meri, Meri, don't even think you could have made it work with Kody!! Girl that is the last thing you need to think about. You dumped his a$$ and are making a new good life, don't look back!!
  4. Yikes! That profile of Kody at the gate is scary!!
  5. If you loved LV so much why did you insist on leaving??? Had to go, had to go....
  6. It is really unclear I think. I'd have to listen to it again too. That is the way I took it. And it does sound like Kody. "Let's divide up CP so we can see who gets what..." I don't see him doing any legal steps (that would probably cost $$).
  7. But from what Robyn said those names are not officially on the deed, She said he said it was just something he came up with. She may have just inadvertently blown up Kody's land grab plan!! So glad they included that quote on the show!!
  8. Kody is going to go for as much of CP as he can con the others out of. Fair is not a word in his vocabulary. Janelle and Meri should have 1/4 of the property each. The rest can go to K & R at least that is fair to the ex wives. He is trying really hard not to get an appraiser involved which is suspicious.
  9. I think that has always been speculated, but don't know if it was really said straight out.
  10. My guess is we won't get to the CP issue until the bitter end of this episode and it will spill over to next week! Just to drag it out more....
  11. It has been hard to comment on anything because nothing is settled/divided up. It is all still up in the air.
  12. No Kody, even alone they don't want you there!!
  13. Right, that is Jenn, Meri's friend that she did the Friday podcasts with for a while, mostly just them drinking and giggling! But she does seem to be a loyal friend to Meri.
  14. 12,239 steps yesterday. Yesterday I didn't do much other than some housekeeping chores and my walking. Didn't go anywhere and probably won't today either. Tomorrow I take garbage up the road so will probably run my errands all after that. Slept well last night, no sore neck in the morning. Last night was first with the new pillow and it really seems to be helping already. It is very soft but holds head just right! I didn't even have the dry mouth I usually wake up with! This is the pillow, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BX2Q4RC2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title , @shapeshifter mentioned over in the Health and Wellness thread in Everything Else.
  15. Quoting myself... Last night was the first night I slept with the new pillow. Used just the two, medium and large, I'm a side sleeper. I woke up with no sore neck and my mouth was not dry as it has been. Slept really well, best in a long time and that was just one night! Tonight I might try putting in the small one too just to see if there is any difference. The directions say either combo for side sleepers. I give it a 5 star at this point. Will report back in a few days to tell if it still is!! (Shapeshifter's quote above)
  16. 12,359 steps yesterday. Still no issues other than a bit of a stiff knee in the morning. A little Aspercreme and getting moving makes it go right away. If it persists I'll back off some and see if the steps are the problem. I'll see how the day goes.... I haven't decided yet if I am going to make a Goodwill run to the new one down in the town south of me. I'd like to get this stuff out of the house and garage too. Plus, I'm on the lookout for an outdoor carpet for the kitty house and more fleecy blankets for their beds too. I may just talk myself into it, especially if the sun were to come out.
  17. 13,216 steps yesterday. My friend called in the morning and asked if I wanted to go for a walk at the Wildlife Refuge with her and her hubby and I said Yes! Turns out hubby decided to stay behind and watch TV, but we had a nice couple hour walk down by the river. I never realized the paths there were paved and easy to walk or I would have done them much sooner. Now I have another place to walk in good weather! My Cornish game hen in the Air Fryer came out amazing!! I could only cook half at a time but it was the best hen I have ever made. Crispy skin, juicy meat, that is how I will fix them forever more now!! Today I will cook the other half and will have left overs to last a few days!! For any one interested the recipe for the hens, it is so simple: Thaw, Spatchcock (cut out backbone and flatten, I had to cut in 1/2 to fit my air fryer). Rinse and dry off bird, apply olive oil (I used avocado oil) all over and then season however you want. I used rotisserie seasoning, but anything you like works. Heat air fryer to 400° cook bird skin side down 15 minutes, then flip and cook skin side up @ 400° for 8 min. (I only did 6, as when I took temp before flipping it was close to 165° already). It came out browned and crispy skin and juicy meat! Much better than any rotisserie chicken I have ever gotten from the store! Perfect amount for a single person with some left overs, or for two for a dinner! And soooo easy!
  18. 12,790 steps yesterday. A few twinges in right knee last evening but so far this morning it is OK. I might need to back off some today, depends on how the morning goes. Not much on agenda for today, a little house tidying, and fixing my "Thanksgiving Dinner". (I'm going to spatchcock a Cornish game hen it so it will cook better in air fryer. If this works as recipe says, this could be my new go to way to fix the hens in the future!) There will be Facetime with the kids and grands and some phone calls too so it will be a very nice day. The weather looks to have some sun among the clouds which will be welcome too.
  19. Thanks!! Same to you and everyone else here, from me too!! I am so sorry for all the stresses around your house repairs! What a nightmare it sounds like! I hope you can find another contractor that can do the work that you need/want in a much more timely manner. It is hard to deal with all that when you aren't even feeling at your best. (((HUGS))) I've been there, 7 or 8 years ago a cottonwood dropped a huge limb on the back side of my house resulting in a new roof, deck repairs, and outer walls of two room repaired. Fortunately it was Summer and I didn't have to leave while repairs were done. But it was stressful nonetheless with workers coming in and out all day long for several weeks. I feel your pain!! As far as the steps go, I think I have just gotten stronger almost 2 years after my bad fall and all the residual aches and pains have worked themselves out. Plus I think I had some infection going on in my mouth and having almost all my teeth removed has helped me too. And the hand surgeries...it all left me feeling better to the degree I could even attempt to go for more steps. I still have other issues, but I feel "lighter/better" and the steps are just coming and not causing any new pain. But I still go day by day and pay attention to what my body is telling me but so far so good. Hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving trip!!
  20. 12,693 steps yesterday, When I woke in the night to use the bathroom, my right knee said "hello there!". I put some Aspercreme on it and it doesn't ache this morning so will proceed with normal plan. But I will pay close attention. I really thought I'd never see these kind of numbers ever again! I am surprised every day I can keep it up!
  21. Or "And Kody Sobs".
  22. 11,667 steps yesterday. Still managed a fair amount of steps even with the time out working with the crystal lady. She pretty much said she couldn't afford any more crystals. She had been looking for things she could sell for cheap, but wanted good items. For a while I was OK taking a big hit, but by today we got to the point the very good crystals were coming out and she balked at the prices. Items that I paid from say $29 to over a hundred each piece, she was hoping for a few dollars each and I just couldn't do that with these. She did have the grace to relieve me of the promise to sell exclusively to her which is good, so I'll have no qualms selling elsewhere. I will look for a higher end dealer up in town and see if I can find one that is interested and will appreciate what they are getting. I'll price to sell, but not pennies on the dollar any more. I'm fine with the break, as she really wears me out each time she is here. I have held on to these crystals for years, I'm in no rush that I would literally give them away any more. What I have left is easily $10-$15,000 of inventory, maybe more. No way could she come up with even half of that! Snow this morning just letting up now at noon. I'll do some clearing as needed outside a bit later. The rest of the day just walking and Millie cat lap time.
  23. I ordered the standard size pillows last night. They are on Amazon Black Friday Sale price -21%. I paid $45.95 for the standard size pair and they are coming Friday!!
  24. 12,261 steps yesterday. Still no aches or pains as a result. Settling into the pattern of walking during as many commercials as I hear on the TV as possible. It is just background noise, but now I try to listen for ads. The only time I really sat through most of a TV show was for SW last night... Crystal lady comes today and so 2-2.5 hours will be spent with her so no focussed walking in the morning. Today's final count will probably be lower...
  25. Nathan is Meri's brother in law so it makes sense for him to help her and Jenn is her bestie so she makes sense too. Kody is probably there because production wanted him there just to see what would happen. My guess is Meri would have asked one of the boys or even hired someone rather than have Kody there. I doubt it was her first choice.
