  1. Regarding the title, this should be episode 6
  2. I didn't quite notice the walking, but I did notice he pulled out a stool, which I thought was a little unusual for being at a counter
  3. I found it a bit implausible (but just a bit) that no one knew that the mystery room held the electronics stuff that kept the store displays going. At the very least, Glenn and Dina should have known. If no one gets in big trouble for that mess, I'll be surprised (but only somewhat)
  4. As mentioned in the comments for the last episode as something Frank should be sorry about, he mentioned Eddie's partner that he didn't treat well in the past and gave her another chance, then he gave another chance to that detective turned pawn shop owner. I don't know if that made sense in this case, as that guy was quite angry and had a huge chip on his shoulder. I would be afraid he would take it out on someone on the job or his fellow police officers/detectives Jamie's old friend was definitely over the top and kind of loony (which everyone commented on so it wasn't just us), but she also seemed pretty smart, plus she pegged the bad guy, when Jamie and Anthony just assumed he was telling the truth about the wheelchair Also, as I saw in that thread about things that bug us, Selleck does seem to be breathing harder and moving more poorly. People have commented on a hip replacement and arthritis. I'm wondering if Selleck will consider packing it in within a season or two
  5. Did you all know that Colton Dunne, who plays Garrett, wrote this episode? https://www.givememyremote.com/remote/2021/02/11/superstore-colton-dunn-conspiracy-writing/ And I didn't know he wrote a previous episode ("Forced Hire")
  6. I related a bit to the RV topic because my parents had a camper on a pickup truck when I was little and we used it a lot, to go visit family and to go to our new homes since my dad was in the military and we moved several times. It was not as nice as the one Adam bought though. Adam clearly has some issues with buying stuff on the spur of the moment, but Bonnie is a recovered alcoholic, so I guess they are both messed up
  7. Urgh, I wish shows I liked wouldn’t keep getting canceled. NBC seems to be on the verge of killing all its existing long term comedies I’m not clear on when the show returns, this Spring or next Fall at the earliest?
  8. I had thought Arpi’s presentation was much too detailed and needed to be simplified and that’s what Mikaela was going to point out, but she surprised me by going a different, more knowledgeable way
  9. Cheyenne and Mateo’s disinterest in beefing without an audience was the best part of the episode, followed by the nutty conspiracy stuff
  10. I too watched the original series back in the day and remember liking it but don't remember details. I have not seen the movies. I liked this version, at least the pilot, quite a bit and plan to keep tuning in. Queen Latifah at 50 doesn’t quite seem old enough to be a grizzled CIA vet, but she made it work
  11. You know, I never really caught that before, maybe because I'm usually not fully paying attention to most shows because I'm usually on my iPad at the same time or I just don't catch some dialog. It's also possible with the fratboy atmosphere I just thought it was a fratboy term of endearment without realizing the bigger meaning
  12. I really like the Grace character. I thought her storyline was pretty entertaining, but did she hang up before medical help got there? I thought that was a big no no for 911 operators
  13. I had wondered about that; that just seemed wrong to me Junior’s girlfriend is a handful, but at least she and Bow aren’t on the outs like he feared
  14. Really good episode. I’m glad they had at least a couple of episodes leading up to it and they made it clear they haven’t solved racism, just won a battle. Hopefully we’ll see more movement in future episodes even if race isn't the main topic And I agree, that town hall was a very bad idea. All the White people should have remained silent or not been there I still think Mo and Max’s restaurant idea is still pretty unclear
  15. Season 3, focusing on Aretha Franklin, premieres Sunday, March 21 at 9pm ET and will be broadcast over 4 consecutive nights with 2 episodes each. The episodes will also be shown on Hulu and there will also be some podcast episodes focusing on the series http://thefutoncritic.com/video/2021/02/09/video-national-geographic-and-double-oscar-nominee-cynthia-erivo-reveal-highly-anticipated-premiere-date-and-new-trailer-for-the-emmy-award-winning-anthology-series-genius-aretha-800510/20210209ngc01/
  16. Man, how easily did Peter cave and tell all to Valentine after just a little pressing? I don’t know how he’s kept all his secrets up til now if he can so easily cave like that. If just felt ridiculous
  17. Strange stuff with the musical numbers but still entertaining. You just know some of those extras were theater types Who knew Douglas could actually come up with good, workable ideas? Interesting bonding between Abishola and Christina
  18. I did have trouble with what Frank did, though moreso his explanation than his actual actions. I’m not sure the writers had him explain his reasons very well. He came off wanting to punish the chief for leaving rather than for slacking at his current job while waiting to leave for his new one. And Baker needs more to do than looking pissed at Frank Nice to see Danny can hold his fire if the situation calls for it. He’s been too much of a hothead too often Erin seemed to be on a vendetta to get that guy even if she was right about him i liked seeing the mental health program in action. I’ve seen a good documentary on a police mental health unit for people in mental health crisis and more of that needs to enacted around the country
  19. I liked both seasons so far, but I enjoyed Series 12 more and thought it was definitely better with higher stakes and surprises. I hope Series 13 is a few steps up from that, whether it's Jodie's last season or not. I can't wait to see what they do with the Weeping Angels and the Crimean War could be interesting. I'm a bit neutral on Sontarans, but I look forward to seeing what's done with them
  20. You can now stream the play Antigone starring Jodie Whittaker and Christopher Eccleston for a price
  21. Radio Times reports on Chibnall's positive comments about new cast member John Bishop in the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/sci-fi/doctor-who-john-bishop-chris-chibnall/
  22. So how is Nina siblings with Nathan and Brit? I thought Obrecht was her aunt not her mom
  23. Manifest will premiere its 3rd season on Thursday, April 1 at 8pm http://thefutoncritic.com/news/2021/02/04/nbcs-law-and-order-organized-crime-hits-the-streets-thursday-april-1-as-part-of-historic-crossover-with-law-and-order-svu-208415/20210204nbc02/ I guess if they go with 13 episodes, this season is going into Summer
  24. NBC announced among several series premieres and changes that the show, as expected, will go on a short hiatus after this coming Tuesday and return in March, this time on Sundays at 9pm starting March 28 http://thefutoncritic.com/news/2021/02/04/nbcs-law-and-order-organized-crime-hits-the-streets-thursday-april-1-as-part-of-historic-crossover-with-law-and-order-svu-208415/20210204nbc02/
