  1. The remaining episodes were listed to be shown Sunday night but they seem to have disappeared off my listings
  2. I’m glad I watched the “Vick” 2 parter and I recommend others watch it and not delete it. Part 2 may make you feel better than Part 1 does. I didn’t recall at the time that Vick ultimately took responsibility for his actions and after prison did a lot of charity and other work to talk against dogfighting. He’s fully owned up to his actions and committed to change, something Armstrong still hasn’t done i honestly didn’t realize at the time how much the rhetoric against Vick was racist or veered in that direction. People were rightly upset that he was involved in harming and killing dogs, but I can now understand why Blacks got upset about the attacks against Vick It wasn’t stated in the doc, but quite a few of the dogs were ultimately saved in a change in procedure (dogfighting dogs were typically put down), where they were rehabbed and given new homes
  3. Final treat for the Who Lockdown stuff. Audio/video sequel short to World Enough and Time/The Doctor Falls two parter, titled "The Best of Days. Written by Stephen Moffat, and starring Pearl Mackie as Bill Potts and Matt Lucas as Nydole. The actual tweetalong of the two parter has been canceled due to fan concerns for the material amidst current events
  4. I actually posted before I saw Bebe’s choice of choosing 2 winners and combining Miracle and Bones, but supposedly knew the song chosen. I guess they ended up gutting Miracle except for its chorus and inserting in Bones for the rest. It was an unusual choice for this show
  5. I really enjoyed You’re Not Alone Anymore, both of the times they’ve shown it, though the second was more fun. I’m currently going through some early ones I recorded, I think from the 90s, and there were some fun acts over the years and some really good singing
  6. So who was the female blonde nurse who featured prominently in the Nurses’ number in today’s episode? I think I’ve seen her in other repeat episodes Does ABC still have the Nurse’s Ball collection on their website? I tried looking but seemed to reach a dead page. If they haven’t done it already, I wish they would release a musical highlights collection on DVD or via streaming, but that might be a rights nightmare. I know there are some fan-made collections for personal purchase or trade somewhere and I recorded several show highlights for my own use, but it would be nice to have good recordings
  7. In Bebe Rexha’s episode, they really got into “Miracle”, before it even went into the rewriting session. There was a whole lot of back and forth improvisation going on, more than usual with much more excitement it seemed. I don't recall another artist from either season who jumped onto the stage like that and did their style of a song. And of course, it ended up being the winning song. I guess it won’t be introduced at the Olympic Games though
  8. If all Armstrong did was dope and cheat, I think that would be reasonably forgivable given that so many did it (though if so many have to dope so much at a sport because it's too hard, maybe people shouldn't be doing that sport, or the people in charge should make it easier). The problem for Armstrong is that he didn't just cheat. He went after his critics and destroyed them or tried to. He set himself up to be a role model with his cancer foundation and he was lying all that time. He viciously hurt too many people to cover his cheating (and usually in a very public way) and that kind of sliminess and nastiness will take a long time to forgive, if ever
  9. Another Doctor Who Lockdown treat: Audio (with some video) short created as sequel to recent New Earth/Gridlock fan tweetalong titled The Secret of Novice Hame. Written by RTD, music by Murray Gold, and a special appearance by David Tennant as The Doctor. This is the 2nd to the last specials for the Lockdown tweetarounds
  10. Another Lockdown treat: A rendition of Murray Gold’s The Long Song from The Who episode The Rings Of Akhaten by Jana Marie Gropp and a chorus of 300 fans around the world. This is ahead of a global fan tweetalong of Rings of Akhaten. It appears this will be the last Lockdown tweetalong as the UK starts to reopen (ETA: I was in error; it appears there will be two more after this)
  11. Yeah, definitely very catchy. I think I liked it a bit better than the winning Lovestruck, but all 3 songs were good and I’m glad all 3 were picked. Up
  12. It’s possible I missed this in the various interruptions, but what happened to Willow’s mom Harmony in regards to her working for Cyrus after TJ was released?
  13. Another Lockdown short: Doctors Assemble https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26UFq8RGVOs
  14. I can't be the only one who thought "That's a Country Song" should have won, can I? It sounds very country and had a great beat. It sounded right in line with the 1 or 2 songs I've heard from Florida Georgia Line. But it didn't even make the cut-down. I don't understand it
  15. Renewed http://thefutoncritic.com/news/2020/05/19/fox-entertainment-renews-family-comedy-last-man-standing-and-medical-drama-the-resident-for-the-2020-2021-season-283305/20200519fox01/ Honestly, I'm not sure it should go much longer given they replaced the grandson with an exchange student and all the kids' lives are changing enough that the parents should be experiencing empty nest syndrome

  17. SpoilerTV.com says series finale is June 11
  18. During the commercials for the Enquirer doc, CNN promoted that the remaining episodes of this series will be shown starting Sun, June 14 at 9pm. How many were left? It seemed like they only showed 2 or 3 of the 6 before the show got preempted
  19. New Lockdown treat. Video short The Descendants Of Pompeii for today’s tweetalong of The Fires of Pompeii
  20. The BBC Writer’s Room has posted ALL the scripts for Series 12 (scroll down a bit). They are post-production scripts supplied by the Who producers according to a tweet from the BBC Writer’s Room account https://www.bbc.co.uk/writersroom/scripts/tv-drama/doctor-who
  21. New video short "The Zygon Isolation" created for the Lockdown as part of today's fan tweetalong for the Zygon Invasion/Zygon Inversion two parter. Written by Peter Harness and starring Ingrid Oliver as Osgood
  22. Steven Moffat wrote a short video sequel to "The Girl in the Fireplace" entitled "Pompadour" as part of the fan watchalong earlier today. Voiced by Sophia Myles
  23. The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine has some pretty good stuff in it. In current showrunner Chris Chibnall's Production Notes section, he talks about everyone missing normal. He indicates post-production of the Dalek special is being worked on and pre-production of Series 13 continues. He also talks about the various videos that Jodie has done in lockdown as the Doctor. For the first one, while in lockdown, he starts thinking about doing something to make the kids feel better about the situation. As he starts thinking more about what to say, Jodie messages him that she's had a thought about a video message given she has a copy of her costume at home. They then go back and forth on a script that Chibnall has written and finally agree on something. Jodie makes the video and it goes to his production people for processing. It then has to go through various levels of the BBC for approval given the sensitivity of the situation. After the video is posted, they are flooded with responses, particularly from parents. The clip is played in full on BBC radio and is shown on BBC News. Jodie then let Chibnall know she's been asked to front a PSA and she wants to do it as the Doctor and she wants him to write it and we saw the results of that. He also indicates a real appreciation of the fans coming together to help each other through the current times, including the tweetalongs of past episodes. He and others have also been posting short stories to help keep the connection. There's also an article where former showrunners Russell Davies and Steven Moffat interview each other about Who. It's a lot of fun. They also indicate they watch the new Doctor's episodes live or almost live.
