  1. Not a surprise since he’s barely been on. The question is, was it his choice or ABC’s?
  2. I’ll bet it didn’t happen because the rich folks and crypto folks didn’t want to do a kumbya and pool their resources with the poorer folks. They were there to get richer and spread their supposed anarchist message. It started as just a conference and mostly remained just an annual conference
  3. I felt more that he needed to run and not be around that motley group
  4. Yes on the endless Victor thing. We’re no closer to knowing why Victor keeps saying the family needs to be united. He keeps hinting that something is coming, but it’s been going on for months
  5. Ava’s stabbing could have also been done by Victor or one of his people
  6. It's now official that the Doctor Who Centenary special is in October
  7. I finally watched this (and didn’t realize the doc itself was less than 40 minutes). I’m glad these folks managed to turn around what would could have been a really nasty experience (meaning the responses from the public right after the press conference), saw the humor in it and just ran with it and I’m glad the public responded positively to that

This was a really terrific doc series. I highly recommend it
  9. Is the child playing Leo autistic himself? He’s a cutie and very likable. He does well with frequently not looking at people in the eye
  10. Allison certainly didn’t expect that result with Kevin’s ad. Now she feels stuck. Why she doesn’t leave him at this point makes no sense to me It seems the ladies still have to figure out what to do about Neil That constant drumming on the soundtrack drove me a little nuts
  11. It appears I misunderstood the 2 episode season premiere article; that was only for AMC+ and just the first episode of the season was on AMC ETA; The rest moved to the Season 2 premiere
  12. It’s possible some of it was for Covid reasons Regarding Willow, I wonder how she thinks she’ll be able to hide her symptoms for a few weeks?

    No Ordinary Life

Includes press release and trailer https://www.cinematography.world/cnn-to-premiere-no-ordinary-life-a-film-about-women-photojournalists-on-the-frontlines-of-history-sept-5th/
  15. Seven episodes this season, which is one less than most of the previous seasons The finale shows exactly what happens when places become popular tourist destinations and that’s their main income. And the insane prices also shows what happens when rich outsiders come in and buy up housing (similar to places like San Francisco). So the lower class native workers have to both contend with tourists traipsing in to play in too large numbers and unaffordable housing. I think the state needs to try to fix the housing situation but I don’t see them wanting to give up the money from tourists and the military to placate a small number of natives. It’s a tough situation, but pretty similar to a lot of places that become tourist destinations
  16. Actually, I think it was a messy combination of lefty hippy types trying to mesh with some righty anti-tax pro-crypto types (who were in charge or trying to be), with a few other folks in between, which clearly didn’t work well
  17. The Mirror talks about some past Doctors outfits to be worn in the Centenary special https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/jodie-whittaker-pay-tribute-past-27787022
  18. I didn't like learning history in school because it was just a big info dump and test kind of thing. I started to become interested in genealogy and history after watching the original Roots miniseries and even more so after watching Ken Burns’ The Civil War on PBS in 1990 and really got into historical documentaries after that. I didn’t start fully researching my family tree until the late 90s but have loved genealogy ever since
  19. I would what the Mexican government thought of these folks coming into town annually to spout anarchist bs?
  20. I’m not sure about this show. It has some funny spots, but it’s very formulaic, especially with the listing of clues and the chief going over them and announcing the killer, which is saying something given the guest star doesn’t have the script and it’s overall very awkward
