The baby isn't Fern then, right? I couldn't place her, but now I'm guessing she's Kendra and Joe's youngest?

Random questions, and apologies in advance for revisiting a tired topic. I know that Mariah (and others?) warned Meri about her catfish before the truth finally came out. Does that mean Mariah knew that her mother was literally having an emotional/virtual affair and was hiding it from the family at Meri's behest? I wasn't following Sister Wives during the catfish era. Was Meri openly communicating with her catfish on social media? If others were warning her, does that mean that she wasn't discreet online?

This made me laugh too hard and for too long. How can 1 space fulfill so many needs??? I watched the video of their practice session, and Jonathan kept his hands clasped the entire time. It was awkward. They all looked so uncomfortable. And when the song was done, Jilldo panned around with the camera and each of the kids looked at her nervously like "now what?" There was no joy in that room.

Can we change the title of this thread to: "Better to Remain Silent and Be Thought a Fool than to Speak and Remove All Doubt" 🙄

I'm listening to the announcement now. The only thing (and Kaylee) can come up with for what they have in common is that both of their families have 13 kids. But the really CRAZY part is that HIS family has 9 BOYS and (and Kaylee)'s family has 9 GIRLS!!!? Isn't that nuts???!!!/s I did watch a sweet video over the weekend that someone posted on Reddit of Jonathan doing his cousin's makeup (not as weird as it sounds). The cousin seemed to be doing a Youtube series on random family members doing her makeup. He was a good sport about it and she ultimately looked like a clown. So I have a little bit of hope that this guy might not be completely terrible. Although he did say "yaaassss...." in the courtship announcement video.

OMG, this is a good match. No "nerves," as Chrissy likes to talk about. Just 2 women playing well. I love Leylah's smile, by the way. And Emma's stoicism. I am literally player-neutral. I have no real preference on who wins (other than maybe Leylah's camp being a little annoying). So I guess Emma?

I thought I was the only one who moaned and screamed with unpleasant tasks, such as killing huge bugs! Glad your critter was well and truly dead! 🙂

Yay! He's my pick. Back to Leylah's gesturing for a minute. I was watching on mute last night (I've had it up to HERE with the commentators) so I may have missed some things. At one point, I saw Sabalenka celebrate/pander to the crowd in the same manner that Leylah has been doing. Do we think that's on purpose, as a dig? Or was she also just really excited? Or am I making this up?

The one good thing about Djokovic completing the slam (assuming he does) is that commentators can then remove this narrative from their script. I'm so sick of hearing about it, much like Serena trying to get slam #24 (although I'd like to see her do that). Of course, then there'd be some other narrative to replace it, I suppose. Like Emma Raducanu is a tennis phenom after essentially 2 tournaments (eye roll). The only player left for me is Daniil Medvedev. I love his post-match interviews. I don't have any vested interest in anyone who's left, male or female. Oh, wait! Go Team Coco and Caty!!!

I feel a lot of the WTA players end up this way, including Ostapenko and even Andreescue. I know she won the U.S. Open a couple of years ago, but commentators really want to sell Andreescue as this superstar who is unlucky with injuries. I think that's a stretch. Honestly, I wish commentators would go easy on the hype for these up and coming young players like Coco. And very specifically right now Emma Radacanu (sp?). Her coronation as the new best thing started at Wimbledon and continues now. Granted, she's kicking butt in New York right now, but I hope she doesn't get put on some impossible pedestal just to come tumbling down.

I am sitting through a torturous Zoom board meeting right now and your comment gave me some life tonight. Thanks! *I miss Amy Winehouse! 😭

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
CouchTater replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
It really reminded me that I dislike these people and what they stand for. I was slipping into a "they're not so bad" mindset (minus CSA Pest, of course). Kittens-in-a-box-gate woke me the hell up! Ugh. -
Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody
CouchTater replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Jim Bob does seem to be pulling Josiah into him. The gap between Josiah and Lauren is the biggest of any in the picture. Weird. I think it's gross to wear sandals to a venue like a fair. That seems unhygienic to me, especially for little kids who don't look or care where they're walking and what they might be stepping into. -

Oh my God, that's terrible. I had to turn the video off immediately. Poor kitties in a box, presented to a 1-year-old and a bunch of other grabby kids. I hate that, and the adults for doing that. Forgot to note, it was strange that Josie basically dove into the box (meant for someone else) for a kitty. Isn't she 12 or 13 now? What's wrong with her? -
I was very neutral, at most, about Leylah. But after the Kerber match, I'm very impressed. I also loved her smiles when she would hit a great shot. I prefer a big, genuine smile to the harsh screams of Kvitova - which brings me to my other point: I just consciously realized why I root for certain players and not others. I didn't want Kerber to win today. I don't want Sabalenka to win today. Along with many others, their grunting/screaming annoys me enough to not want to watch them. Other than the grunting, I have nothing against any player and really just want to watch good tennis. But some of the ladies are just too much. Sorribes Tormo is another one, but her grunt is so over the top that it almost amuses me. I'd like Pliskova to win this year. I like her stoic demeanor and I'd like to see her finally win a major. Go Karolina!

I also really liked Katey's announcement dress, along with the shoes. Very pretty. This is the first time I've seen her in a video (other than the wedding) and my first thought was, "she's adorable!" Jed!, not so much. A more surprising and newsworthy announcement would have been that they're not pregnant. 🤷🏽♂️

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
CouchTater replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I don't follow her on SM. Does anyone know if she's still selling Lularoe? -
A few years ago I heard a commentator (maybe Darren Cahill?) make the point that treatment for injuries has a time limit, but the comfort/bathroom break does not. That blew my mind. And makes no sense.

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
CouchTater replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
It's very telling that the kids of Janelle and Christine don't give a rip about Kody's wishes re: COVID protocols. He is soooo not the head of this extended, polygamous family. -
My post wasn't very clear. My gut tells me that he would not be interested in the position if he were required to be vaccinated. I know I shouldn't assume because that will make asses of us and all that, but I'm basing my assumption on some of his demographics. Probably not fair, but I'm sure I'm right. I work in a very liberal city, but many places around me are....not liberal, let's just put it that way.

That is what doesn't make sense to me. Where does this blind (and swift) trust of a horse de-worker come from? It seems irrational and insane to me.
