  1. Ugh. There's a set of 3 high schools 1 town over from me (3 schools on 1 campus, around 6,000 kids) on lockdown for 4 hours and counting. It's called the Plymouth-Canton schools. 1 of the kids is my boss's daughter, and is a little friend of mine. 🙂 1 kid allegedly saw another kid with a weapon. They're currently methodically searching the schools. My boss's daughter's classroom has been searched and cleared, but they're not allowed to leave. We're roughly 50 miles from Oxford, where the school shooting happened last week (4 dead, 7 injured). What a world... *Just got word that she's on her way home. I didn't even realized that I was kind of holding my breath until I let out a big exhale upon receiving word just now.
  2. Maybe he's relieved, too.
  3. Closer shot of the Hilaria claw:
  4. Yup, our girl Hilaria would never disappoint us. Why does her hand look like a claw???
  5. Right! And if she chose not to rock the boat in her little inbred fundie world, that's fine. But she looks ridiculous joining the hallelujah chorus now. I'll say it again, fuck right off Bobby (I've decided not to remember her dumb spelling).
  6. You're right, I did see that. It just doesn't sit right with me that she's all "praise God for justice" and "what's done in the dark shall come to light" or whatever, when she is one of the adults who knew what was happening and didn't do all she could to protect the world from a predator. If I'm wrong, I'll admit it, but I don't believe the Holts (and probably dozens of others like them, if not more) did all that they could in the Josh situation.
  7. Bobye Holt can fuck off. She and her husband should have called the cops the first 1, 2 , or 3 times Josh confessed to them.
  8. On the Leaving Eden podcast (co-host is ex-fundie), they made the point that stoicism and the denial of feelings are requirements for fundie girls (keeping sweet, anyone?), which they say explained why Anna was seemingly unmoved by the graphic details of the trial. Wow, I am happy and sad simultaneously. Even sad for the little boy Josh, who was failed, failed, failed by his parents. And to the other 18 Duggar kids + Tyler (and their progeny) for the horrors and injustices (direct and indirect) visited upon them because of their parents' failures. And anyone else who Josh hurt.
  9. I've become obsessed recently with a Bath and Body Works scent called 'Champagne Toast.' I'll put on some of the hand creeam to celebrate the verdict. 🙃
  10. Can anyone tell me why the cop who “helped” teen Josh received a 40-year sentence (I think), and Josh may get up to 20? Is it because you of more counts? Or different/worse crimes? I guess the only thing worse would be hands-on abuse.
  11. I'm very sorry @CalicoKitty.
  12. This screenshot from The Sun immediately put the Brady Bunch theme song in my head: "There's a story, of a creep named Duggar, who was busy with a creep of his own..."
  13. This trial is really zipping along.
  14. https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/4174486/josh-duggar-trial-live-updates-child-pornography-arrest-verdict/ This is the link to The Sun's live coverage, if anyone wants to follow. Latest is that Joy seems upset and Jessa seems in high spirits, talking to Anna and smiling.
  15. What does it mean when your jeans' seams are crooked? Pants too tight? Too cheap? I don't think it's just because of the way they're standing.
  16. I'd say Laura took aim at Amy with the "amen" response to the comment about Amy being passive-aggressive. If Amy should stay out of the fray, as "just" a cousin, Laura should take 2 seats, not just 1.
  17. At least she has a husband. Sorry, but as someone who is single and childless*, that will never get old. 😄 *Edit to add: and doing just fine, in case anyone is worried about me. I even happily brought in my own trash and recycling totes this evening.
  18. For sure! I wasn't trying to imply that Amy was being inappropriate by becoming more forthright. I applaud clarity and honesty! Finally!!!
  19. Woah, Amy is leaving the ambiguity behind with her tweets now, I guess.
  20. I fear Timcel would be lost without his mother's heavy hand nearby.
  21. I really wish I could be a fly on the wall of a Keller family gathering (that doesn't include Nurie). How do they feel about JRod and the broadcasting of Nathan's new life with impunity? I know it's also her daughter's life, but this latest announcement about his new profession is not hers to make. At all. Ma and Pa Keller may not have SM, but others in the family do. I don't follow any of these folks, so maybe other Kellers are posting about Nurthan and I just don't know about it. Has JRod been anointed as their official SM spokesperson or what?
  22. Earlier today, in this thread, I essentially said that speculating and projecting our feelings on to the siblings was getting out of hand, in my opinion. So, here I go being guilty of that: my first thought when I saw Justin's terrible thumbs-up picture is that some reporter called out "Hey Justin! How's it going?" or something to that effect, and his reaction was dripping in sarcasm. I can't imagine any other reason for his silly grin and thumbs up. Of course, that's me reaching and jumping to hopeful conclusions. And I have no excuse for his hanger-on mother-in-law Hilaria's creepy smile in the same photo. What a mess. I hope this is all over soon.
  23. The best thing that could happen to Nurthan is a shunning from JillRod.
  24. Speculation and projection regarding the siblings and in-laws, who they might be supporting, why they're sitting where they're sitting in the courtroom, who they greet/don't greet, why they've colored their, etc. is nuts. I'm loving the legit updates and educated guesses, not loving the knee-jerk reactions and runaway speculation.
