The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
CouchTater replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
Yes! I read @Zella's and was still pondering a few minutes later: what does it even look like for someone Jana's age to not have the freedom to live her damn life? What would those restrictions be, exactly? Is it just a 30-something living a fundy teen's life? -
I think one was QuinnInND. She had recently been contacted by her long-lost sister, or maybe mother? I think she was an exotic dancer or escort at some point in the the past. Was also maybe a teacher? And she had twins whose ages changes. People started questioning her many stories and she vanished. Does any of this sound familiar, or am I confusing multiple stories, maybe even over multiple forums? 🤪

You're one up on me! LOL. I might know of one other, who I haven't seen posting in about a week. I haven't ever changed my user name. Maybe I should? LOL
-
Thanks. It's good to know she's still here.

Has anyone heard from Rootbeer lately? Looks like she hasn't logged in since mid-May. When I tried to tag her in this post the system didn't find her, so I'm wondering if she was put in timeout. Just curious, I miss her informative posts.

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
CouchTater replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I wonder where Gwynn is? She hasn't popped up in many of their social media pictures recently. -
Thank you @Rickster. Just curious, what's the consensus of everyone here about Kyrgios's deal is? I know he has mentioned depression, but it seems to me something more is going on there. I know we can't diagnosis him, but what the heck? His antics are really uncomfortable to watch.

Hi all! I'm proud to say I very intentionally scheduled an early movie date with a friend to coincide with the final, so I only saw the first couple of games as I was getting ready. For those who watched, did I miss any drama? Bad words? Linesmen or spectators being hit by an errant ball or spit on? Thanks in advance for the report!

Isn't Janessa 4? She looked so confused and unsure of herself in the "parade." And those crocs were so huge on her feet! Maybe that's why she was unsure, because she was on the verge of doing a face plant? One of the Rodlets didn't even have on shoes. A lot of the others had on dollar store flip flops. Frankly, all those kids made me feel sad. Yikes.

I haven't experienced that @beckie, but I'm on a laptop, not a phone.
-
@Spunkygal, how easy was it logistically for you to get those seats? I'm wondering what it takes to get tickets to a final at a major. The closest I've come is driving past Roland Garros this year 🤣
-
Wow! That's awesome! I would love to get to Centre Court, and a final???? That's great!
-
@Spunkygal, thanks for watching the ceremony with me! 🙂 Here's to hoping we see some great play today!
-
Me, too. I love the pageantry and history. I visited London for the first time in March and fell in love with it. This ceremony reminds me a lot of what I love about the city. I thought I was going to turn off the musical interlude, but it's actually lovely.

Roger looks very fine in that suit!! Venus looks like a queen. Giving off Diana Ross vibes, for sure.

Kyrgios has forced me to root for Tsitsipas. Damn.
-
This Krygios/Tsitsipas match is a shit show.
-
I was shocked that Tsitsipas got off with just a warning. How is that different from what happened with Djokovic at the U.S. Open last year, except that someone wasn't badly hurt? I didn't think the level of injury dictates the punishment, but the action does? But Kyrgios with the constant talking before or between his opponent's serves, verbally abusing the umpire...it's all too much.
-
I get that about level of difficulty, but underhand serves are frowned upon and poo-poo'ed. I love tennis with all more my heart, I really do. But some of what's considered "unsportsmanlike" is so silly to me. Underhand serves (but if it's in box, no harm-no foul, right), line judges being side-eyed for calling legitimate foot faults when a the match is too close/in the balance (rule shouldn't apply if it affects the outcome?), expecting players to apologize for winning a point when the ball hits the net but goes over. Sorry for the mini-rant. These are just a few of my little tennis niggles.
-
I've never understood why underhand serves are considered antics, but drop shops are admired. I'd put them in the same class of shots. What am I missing?

@theghostofmtv, your avatar is so creepy and disturbing! 😁 What/who even is that? Chucky???
