  1. Or a windy scene at a car wash where stray shammy cloths enveloped the model.
  2. That's what's making me feel I might not be able to handle this. I haven't quite forgiven the show for the brutality of Glenn's and Abraham's deaths (an episode I deleted without ever watching), nor for giving us a broken Rick for most of season 7. If this is true, I don't think I can watch what it would do to Rick going forward. The Spoiling Dead Fans has never been wrong in their spoilers. But, as one of the admins pointed out on their page, there's only been one time where they posted a report and labeled it "unconfirmed", and that was the spoiler about Beth's death. They were right about that, and odds are extremely high they're right about this. Just damn.
  3. Yeah, no. The author of the article comes off as pretentious and condescending. "This is a very popular show. I don't like this show. Therefore, this show and the people who like it must be marginalized." Yanno, I can't stand any shows about the Kardashians, any of the Housewives shows, and I really dislike The Bachelor/Bachelorette shows. I realize they're popular, they're just not to my taste, and I feel no need to pathologize people for liking something different than I do. The Walking Dead is about a postapocalyptic dystopia. That's a pretty sad thing. Does that mean the millions of people who like to watch The Walking Dead are addicted to "sadness porn" too? This guy, he's not as clever as he thinks he is. That's a good description of some of the reasons I'm enjoying this show.
  4. My goodness, I love watching the two of them dance together! Thanks for bringing this.
  5. After not liking last week's episode at all, this was my favorite episode yet. The chemistry between Highmore and Kingwell was off the chain, and their dialogue was quite well crafted. Since Evan has another 3-4 months to live and will probably be in the hospital A LOT in the coming weeks, maybe the show can show Sean and Evan continuing to have deep conversations about the meaning of life, mortality, and relationships, all sprinkled liberally with the fun sense of play and sarcasm between them. It would be terrific for the continuing development of Highmore's character.
  6. I don't know, but I'd pay good money to see Mr. Wonderful do that!
  7. I sort of "get" the flash forward showing future old man Rick. What I found the most confusing about the time jumps was the Coral at the gas station being intercepted by Rick before Coral could engage with the Muslim guy, then Coral coming back later to leave food. Is this all supposed to have happened after the big shoot out/walker horde scene at the savior compound? Too confusing.
  8. Using up all the ammo to shoot out the windows didn't really make sense in this episode, though I hope we're shown some logical reason for it in the next episode. The only thing I could come up with to explain it was that it served the purpose of keeping all the Saviors in the compound from shooting back at them, then some of the team will come along and open all the doors to the compound to let the walkers in. Maybe.
  9. What with Xander Berkeley having been exposed for sexting with a teenage girl, it was really creepy seeing him dressed in a hanging open shirt unbuttoned nearly to his 61-year-old navel. I wish Gregory had broken his neck when Simon pushed him down the stairs. Other than that, this was a really fun Talking Dead episode, and seemed too short at 2 hours.
  10. The best thing about this episode was Damon insisting he was 5'8", even after Robert (at 5'8") was standing right next to him and is obviously a few inches taller than Damon. Damon was so offended and defensive, it made me laugh. Of course Damon has no idea that if he bought ready-to-wear clothing off the rack he'd have to go to the boy's department. I think the entrepreneurs had a good idea here. There really isn't a male equivalent of women's petite sizing, which is a large market. But I think they have a branding issue; no man wants to be called short, let alone the feminine-sounding "petite".
  11. The writer must have been watching a different show than the one I saw.
  12. I can't remember now where I read this, but it was from one of the producers, I think. He said that next season will begin with the survivors going to war against Proctor John. Frank Zappa is dead, but Proctor John will apparently go on. ETA: - I just checked and it was departing showrunner, Erickson, who told Entertainment Weekly that he built Season 3's finale around his plan for Season 4 to have Proctor John as the Big Bad the survivors would war against. I guess it's possible that Scott Gimple may have a different vision for Season 4 once he gets his grubby paws on it. So, Proctor John's fate is TBD, as is everyone else's (except, ugh, Madison), pending Gimple's plans.
  13. That was the most insulting thing of all last night, including Michael's stripper design. Show the contestants 3 brand new shiny Lexus SUVs with Project Runway license plates, then tell them it's a Lexus challenge. Who wouldn't expect that the winner will receive one of the cars? Margarita's already squealing that she hopes she wins because she wants the blue one. But, psych! The Lexus's are only there for you to pick out trash from their trunks. I hated that.
  14. Gimple has never been involved with FtwD, so had nothing to do with the addition of Walker and Crazy Dog. He'll be coming aboard for the first time in season 4, replacing showrunner/co-creator, Dave Erickson. While I agree with you that this show has been a POS almost from day one, I disagree that it can't be made worse. And Scott Gimple is just the guy who can do it. The Walking Dead used to be my favorite show until Gimple took over in season 4. For me (YMMV) it's been a downhill ride since then.
  15. Thank you! No wonder Chris didn't enunciate this very clearly when he read it...he was probably embarrassed! Presumptuous and pretentious definitely describe it. I think you may be on to something in speculating whether he's ever actually watched FtwD. He describes the "family that we love" becoming full-sized Charizard? Overlooking the dorky Pokemon analogy, he does realize that Charizard, while fierce fire-breathing dragons, never turn their fire on weaker opponents, right? That would definitely NOT describe the Clark family, destroyer of worlds, who go all scorched earth on every community they find.
  16. I’m genuinely curious about the dance background of Jordan, and if he’s had dance training at a level sufficient to earn him the ringer status. I haven’t seen much posted about specifically why he’s a ringer other than that his background is in musical theater and he’s been on Broadway. A lot of musical theater graduates, including those on Broadway, can’t actually dance all that well and it’s not necessarily required in the roles they play. As far as I can find, Jordan was a student of Red Mountain Theater Company for most of his teenage years, and he’s only 23 now. As a musical theater student, he would have only been required to learn basic dance positions and basic dance steps (box step, triple step, rock step, etc). That’s mostly what I see here in this video of him performing with the Red Mountain Theater Company in 2010. (He’s the one in the orange plaid shirt with a solo about :55 to 1:15) As far as I know, his role in Hamilton, as well as his role in Grease, was as a singer/actor. I have watched some of his current music videos on youtube where he does do some short hip-hop break outs, but his hip-hop looks pretty basic to me as well. Does anyone know for sure that he’s actually had professional dance training? And, if so, when and where?
  17. Weirdly enough, I could barely understand a single word Chris was saying when he read Gimple's letter. Normally Chris has very good enunciation and it's never been a problem. Nor was it a problem during this show, except when he read that letter. I didn't have closed captioning turned on because I've never needed during any of the "Talking" shows. I looked around the internet trying to find a text version of the Gimple letter, but turned up nothing. Frustrating! So, he called it "the family that we love"? Obviously, Gimple can't wait to turn this show into an even bigger POS, the same way he's done to the mothership since taking the helm.
  18. Is there someplace to read his parting comments? If not, can you summarize what he said? Thanks!
  19. I love Kentaro. He makes me smile and laugh so much almost every time the edit monkeys turn the camera in his direction. That's one of the many things that pisses me off about how much camera time the demented twins were given. If they weren't there, we would have gotten a lot more Kentaro time, and I suspect it would have been delightful. As for Claire. The contestants are not allowed to work on their designs outside of the workroom. The contestants are not allowed to have tape measures in their rooms. The contestants are not allowed to have pens or pencils in their rooms. There's no argument that Claire did all three of these things. I don't understand why there's any defense of her.
  20. They're all lying. Clearly Maks needed a night off to finish decapitating the caged puppies he keeps in his basement dungeon.
  21. Part 2 of the two-part finale episode (Cont'd from Part 1 above) - episode 16 - "Sleigh Ride" From Fear the Spoiling Dead Fans facebook page: Okay--- Dam blown to hell with C4. Lola dead. Efrain dead. Strand and Daniel status unknown. Madison for sure alive. Of course there's no question Alicia and Nick are both still alive. The Clark Family, destroyer of worlds, must continue to survive! Copying TWD mothership with Rick's flash forward season opener with a seemingly parallel finale opener of flash forward Madison. Also, isn't this the first FTWD season finale that's ended with an always annoying season finale cliffhanger à la TWD? What a bunch of lame plot points all leading to this effed up season finale. There are only so many seasons that viewers should reasonably be expected to tolerate Madison. I may not be back for season 4.
  22. This Sunday we get two episodes for the finale. Episode 3.15, "Things Bad Begun" and episode 3.16...don't know the title of that one yet. I'd expect episode 16 spoilers by sometime tomorrow. From Fear the Spoiling Dead Fans facebook page, here are the spoilers for episode 3.15. Well, crap. Bye bye, Troy. You were one of the very few interesting characters and competent actors in this cast. Therefore, you must die. How much more could I hate Madison? Not much more. I don't guess that bashing Troy's head in is going to make you very popular with Nick either.
  23. Yep, I agree with you. I doubt that Drew Scott has a sob story, and the fact that he's doing a jive to "Don't Stop Me Now" makes me think his most memorable moment is going to be an uplifting one. That might be enough to land him in the bottom 3 this time.
