  1. Seriously, were they reusing the same cubicle hell and apartments from Andor? I honestly thought it would be funny if Dr. Pershing opened a drawer and found something of Syril's in it....... Count me as one who thought this side detour into why the New Republic is going to go the way of the old Republic was a waste of time. I loved Andor, but M-Andor-lorian is NOT the way.......make a new show called "Rise of the First Order" or something, but on this show, give me my Mandalorian(s) and Baby!
  2. Totally agree! And not only that, but Sassy accepting Keeley into her friendship group with Rebecca is awesome to see too. She could have resented her intrusion but she accepted her and now the twosome is a threesome when she's around. Lovely to see women supporting women, which has been my experience more often than not in my life and not what is portrayed on TV most of the time.....
  3. I feel like I don't need Richmond to win it all which is just not believable, I just need them to finish ahead of West Ham.....
  4. Same. It was actually so frustrating watching Nate strut around like the cocky mean asshole he is and not get called on it even once by literally ANYONE! And to have self deprecating Ted laugh it off to the press even though his boss told him to do different and see her just shrug and laugh along was not funny at all. I am glad it got under Nate's skin to see that but it's not enough. I really hope Ted calls him on it at some point this season. Or Beard, or Roy Fucking Kent. Or Leslie. Or Rebecca, or Trent Crimm, Independent - ANYONE!!!! I would love for the West Ham team to turn on him for being a bully - we already had the redemption of Rebecca and Jamie, I need retribution here. I actually laughed when he put his head under the table - karma is a bitch Nate. Favorite moments: Leslie and Rebecca's matching Keeley mascara stains on their shirts, Leslie's gagging noise when he's uncomfortable, the street workers knowing it was Roy when he yelled for them to fuck off, the french player talking about wine in the sewer and Jamie's poopeh comment, seeing Keeley's pink leopard made it to her new office. I need one of those.......
  5. I think this is what intrigues me most about Din and Bo being together - the complete opposite view and upbringing - he a foundling, her royalty; he a true believer, her a disillusioned cynic. I love that dynamic, and I hope they rub off on each other and both change for the better.
  6. I completely agree - it was so frustrating to see them sabotage Jay just for entertainment, particularly Sass. I really thought after he knew what kind of sauce Jay was making that he was going help Jay recreate the dish with help from Sam. That would have been better than this and would have made Sass look like less of an asshole. The whole plot with Hetty and Elias and Pete was so stupid it wasn't even funny to me. I guess we're just supposed to hand wave the idea of Elias getting out of Hell? I don't think so. And no way could Hetty just forgive him that quickly after hating him for literally centuries! If the show wanted to bring him back, I would have preferred that Hell sent him back because the vault was a worse fate and he is only revisited occasionally. Pete looked completely stupid for selling his soul without even blinking an eye even though he didn't have the whole story or waiting to see if Little Pete was ok. All of it was irritating. I was hoping we would see the fall out from Nancy and Nigel catching Hetty and Trevor, but I guess we have to wait.....
  7. I really loved this episode - my baby doing recon and flying back to the ship, Bo Katan using that dark saber like a bad ass, and the Mythosaur sighting!!!!! All cool. Oh, and that thing that captured Din Djarin that was mostly a robot - creepy and weird! But man, our Mando really looked pretty weak needing rescuing twice in such a short time. It must be killing Bo to be thinking "I lost the dark saber to this guy?????" But I like what they give each other - different perspectives of their culture. I liked her look when he said "This is the way" and waded in - it really looked like she was just a smiiiiidge less bitter. Katee Sackhoff is really killing it for me as Bo Katan. One of my favorite moments was when she was just walking with Grogru talking about Jedis and Mandalorians and sensed the danger and just lightly pushed his carrier out of the way so she could kick ass. And her handling of the dark saber really highlighted how much more skilled she is with it than Din Djarin. If she ever gets to see that, she is going to be even more pissed she lost it to him. I agree with everyone else that it was a mistake to lose the Razor Crest. This ship is cool, but absolutely ridiculous. Maybe he can trade it back to Peli for something more useful for his lifestyle, unless he's about hang up his bounty hunting ways for good and become the ruler of Mandalore......
  8. Totally agree - I thought the show was setting it up that Janine was actually the problem and her sister was the one with her life together, but I was surprised to see they are both damaged in different ways which really rings so true to what happens with siblings in real life. Nobody knows how to get to you like your family.... Being from California, that Drought board game hits a little too close to home, although maybe not since our state is about to float away..... Who else expect Mr. Johnson to say "TRASH" when he asked where Gregory's hat belonged? ;-p And more scenes with the entire faculty please - sometimes it feels like the school has six or seven teachers......
  9. I think Sam should actually write a fictional ghost series with the setting being Woodstone. Each book could tell the story of a "character" that died at the house, and she could sell their stories as historical fiction with actual facts weaved in - there is enough evidence that most of the more modern ghosts were real people, and the older ones like Sass or Thor that have no real evidence of existing could be explained as an archetype of people that she "discovers" have existed in the area over the centuries. She could start with Sass and say she was inspired to do it after what happened with the tree......
  10. I have only watched one episode, but I came here to vent - I am already over all of these assholes who make a living being "extra" and acting their most over the top worst selves just for some clicks. I am sick of reality shows casting "internet famous" people like they are celebrities - I am sure it's even cheaper than getting D-list celebrities as these people seem down for anything as long as they can make a buck on it and gain more followers. I like the science gal and Moira Schitt impersonator. That's about it. I didn't read the whole thread, so don't spoil me! Anyone farther along - do they settle down or are they all continuing their wacky schtick? I am disappointed that Jeff didn't return to lead the blue team - he was the perfect sweetness to Anne's toughness, and his personality worked so well for all the dumb games. The superchef seems kind of low energy for that stuff so far......
  11. Totally agree! It was frustrating seeing Sam put the ghosts ahead of Jay's feelings multiple times. And then all of the work he did for, let's face it, two dead people, is ridiculous, not to mention wasteful since nobody is actually going to eat it. I think it's time to stop pairing off all of these ghosts. We now have Nigel and Isaac, Hetty and Trevor, and Thor and Flower. Not to mention Pete pining after Alberta. They've been together for years and years and suddenly everyone is hooking up? Flower remains my least favorite ghost, so I really could have done without this pairing. But I would be lying if I said I wasn't all about the Hetty/Trevor pairing - they are weirdly awesome together!
  12. I am on the fence about Gregory and Janine - they do seem like soul mates, but the fact that they are coworkers is cringe to me. HR nightmare. Still, it was a cute moment. Barbara and Melissa were the best. Their glee at sitting next to the school supply lady was awesome. Melissa's digs at her sister, and the two of them roasting that woman. Epic. "We still got it". "I forgot my shoes". Ha! Can someone tell me who Ava was talking about at the end of the episode? It cut off before we could hear who she was talking about.
  13. Totally agree with this! Contrast her behavior with the child who shadowed Siegfried a few episodes ago. But I will say Jenny is has always been portrayed as pretty sassy, so there is that. Also, considering she is an only child being raised in the city, it might also explain her behavior a little more. Okay, now I'm talking myself out of my argument. ;-0 I do think she was a tad too old to think magic shoes would transport her back home though, and I don't think she would be calling the adults by their first names.
  14. The books are truly special, and I can appreciate them as a separate thing, but even without the books, this season leaned too far into the personal drama for a show called "All Creatures Great and Small". Compared to previous seasons, I felt it was a let down. I did still enjoy it, just not as much. Audrey's hovering was what annoyed me the most. She didn't need to be there, especially since she knew Gerald had showed up just for her. Most of the time the arguments between Tristan and Siegfried take place in front of everyone, and I don't mind when she tries to keep the peace in those situations, nor when either Tristan or Siegfried seek her out for her opinion or just to vent. But in this instance, they went off to have a private conversation that neither invited her to join. As I said earlier, she inserted herself unnecessarily into their conversation and her presence there seemed awkward.
  15. Ha! Same, only with that horse. I am still traumatized by what happened to horses on Walking Dead. When they tethered the horse to the tree, I was like nooooooo!!!! Glad the horse got out of there alive, Joel on the other hand........if this is the end for him, well, see you in a couple weeks Din Djarin! I know Joel is messed up by everything he's lived through, but to say Ellie can't understand is pretty messed up. She's a freaking orphan - she knows loss! I thought it was a good scene, and I do think Bella is a great actress, but I think she could have played that comeback even more unhinged in that moment.
  16. I hate to say it, but I totally agree. This season was less about the treatment of animals and more about the drama of the characters. It bears little resemblance to the books at this point other than in name. James was almost a secondary character as it focused more on the personal lives of Siegfried, Audrey and Tristan rather than the "creatures great and small". The scene that annoyed me the most was the Christmas episode where Audrey abandons the man she stage an entire party for just to insert herself in the argument between Siegfried and Tristan. And in this instance, it felt like intrusive overstepping. They are two grown men having a painful, very personal, private conversation, and she didn't just happen to be there, and nobody asked her to join. She was only there to create the drama of Gerald being left alone and leaving. As she stood there watching the back and forth and making half-hearted attempts to sweep it back under the rug, all I could think was buzz off lady - this doesn't concern you! Go back to your maybe boyfriend who is leaving in 10 minutes!
  17. Thank you! I finally finished this and I am shocked at how sloppy, messy and unprofessional these cakes looked for the finale! I am sorry, but Dru's cake was hideous! Why didn't he just do round cakes and put some kind of mountain-scape around the edges? That missile on top was atrocious. All of these cakes looked like they came from the kids baking championship. These people were all nice, but man, that was a disappointing finale just in terms of the quality of the final bakes.
  18. Actually, I think that bedroom scene was important. That is where we learn why they were all following this unhinged bitch. Without that scene, it really makes no sense why they would do whatever she said when the thing that makes most sense is to deal with that pulsing cordyceps floor and not go on a wild goose chase looking for two kids that are really no actual threat to the community at large at that point. I also think that scene gives Kathleen a little more gravitas, so to speak. To see her ruminating on her choices makes her less of a psychotic lunatic and more just a hurt woman who has turned bitter and chosen revenge over all else in the wake of the nightmare her life has become. For me, it's little scenes like this that make this show so good - they are doing such a great job making these characters come to life in such a small window of time.
  19. You are not wrong about Kathleen, but her muscle guy (I don't know his name) spelled out exactly why they were still following her - she was the reason they were able to organize and overthrow FEDRA - something her brother could never accomplish. For that job, being an arrogant vengeful bitch was useful. In the aftermath, not so much......
  20. Ok, finally got there and omg - the "kisses" emails getting out of control was hysterical. Less hysterical, Mikes inability to put up a tent or make a fire safely thus continuing his dim bulb status (and yes, I know Alison got help from the ghosts, but still, the writers love making him look dumb).....
  21. Gah! Nothing you have said here makes me want to survive the zombie/fungus apocalypse ;-p
  22. I was so glad Helen took James' side against her father and stood up for him in the office. The whole mess looked so shady mostly because of Mr. Alderson disposing of the cow, even worse than the paperwork because James has shown sloppy paperwork problems before. Plus the fact that it was his own father in law.....Helen is pretty great, but this made me like her more. And that Jenny - telling James they can take care of themselves - those Alderson girls are tough! I understand Siegfried laughing at Tristan for his premature proposal to Florence, but it was still cruel. I am glad Tristan stood up for himself, and not in a defensive childish manner. Good to see his growth this season. I was surprised to see the kids being bused in at this stage of the war. I thought they started doing that during the London blitz.
  23. I get what you're saying, but I do think there are enough people to live past meager subsistence - I mean, just the horrid filth is confounding. Sure you can't have new nikes but why stay in cities that have no way to support growing food and starting over? I know not everyone has the skills Bill had, but I personally know a lot of people just in my own life that possess engineering skills and even just tinker with things to a point that they could probably figure out how to make it work. If I know that many people, how are there zero people there that are trying to do what Bill has done? Lots of places in our own actual world have experienced catastrophic events and eventually they rebuild. I don't think the US would have collapsed to the level shown in this show or Walking Dead. But I am an optimistic person, so maybe it's my naivety that makes me think people would rise above. Maybe that's what draws us all to these shows - a voyeuristic view of how humanity behaves in an extreme crisis? Or, as I said in my OP, let me die first if this is the only outcome because I don't want to live like a savage hiding in a gross building eating 20 year old chef boyardee or killing people to survive......
  24. It's on my list - especially since it stars Big from Res Dogs! I just don't have an AMC streaming subscription so I'm not sure I can access it.
  25. It's hard for me as well, I think that's why Episode 3 was so great - two decent people trying to just live a normal life in the middle of the apocalypse. Fixing things instead of letting everything go to rot. I get that people do horrible things when they are desperate - we see that happen all the time and all the way down history, but it's so depressing to think almost EVERYONE would be that way. And every single show set in the apocalypse has been that way. Well, except Last Man On Earth, but that was a comedy. Still, in some ways that is what I think more people would be like. I mean, where are the people trying to rebuild? Nowhere? No-one???? It's not the immediate aftermath here, it's 20 years! I know Kathleen was broken by all that came before, but saying "maybe he (sam) was supposed to die" - what? By that logic, maybe her brother was supposed to be turned in! God, it makes me think if I end up in this situation, please just eat me first. I don't want to live that way or be that kind of person. This episode was waaayyyy more bleak and sad than Episode 3. How gutting for Sam and Henry to go out that way. Ellie's back and forth on Sam's board was brutal. "I'm scared of ending up alone", "If you turn into a monster is it still you inside" "I'm sorry". All heartbreaking. But for me, the saddest moment came when Joel begged the old sniper in the house to put the gun down. Pedro Pascal's face said everything - he just knew he was going to have to kill him and he didn't want to do it. What a horrible life. Again, please kill me before I have to be that person. The hoard coming out of the ground was well done, but I think I'm immune to that type of stuff after years of Walking Dead. Oh great, a hoard of zombies fungus clickers and a bloater....sure,whatever.......I'm just glad Kathleen came and went in such short order - she was a terrible leader and they all followed her to their peril. Fitting end, now on to the next group of which I assume we'll meet for two episodes before they're dispatched - uh oh, one is Joel's brother.......
