  1. What the heck is happening? They were so nit-picky on everybody tonight! Paula was fantastic though! Jason was totally underscored by CAI and Derek - no way was that an 8 if Harry got sixes for whatever that abomination was. It is getting embarrassing that he is still here. Lele was good and didn't deserve to go yet - I still feel like she was sunk by her partner. Send Brandon back to the squad or whatever it's called! I think this show would benefit by handling the elimination like Masked Singer - no outside voting, just the studio audience and then the judges pick who goes home between the bottom two. Alison's dancing is almost unrecognizable from where she started - this is why I love this show - her dance was awesome! My favorite was Ariana - she looked great with the pros and her legs looked great to me doing the cha cha. I think she's my favorite gal this season. Xochitl is so good, but it's feeling like Charlie 2.0 - teen prodigy. And I feel like TPTB want her to win for some reason - notice how she still ended up at the top of the leader board.....The more they give her 10's and a tongue bath, the more I don't want her to win...... Charity....is just there. I am glad she got called out for her tentative dancing. I get nothing from her, like most of the bachelorettes..... This was the first time I felt like Barry danced like an old man. I am glad he survived tonight! My top three favorites are Jason, Ariana and Barry, but Alison is gaining. And one last shout out to Alfonso - I absolutely love him - he's so earnest and says some really dumb stuff but his delivery is so corny I can't help but laugh. If it can't be Tom, he's been the perfect replacement.
  2. THIS. I think my problem with this show is that there are like six upper class characters. It's New York! Where are others in "The Four Hundred"?!? It's too myopic and tiny in scope. I find most of these characters annoying, but whoever said it's costume porn was right. And the Russel's houses. Wow! I agree with Peggy - the three of them need to get away from each other. It was a relief to see Peggy with Marian. I hope that is the end of that story line for Peggy. I know he was in one minute of screen time this episode, but I am still Team Larry for Marian - he is the least annoying character on this show.
  3. You might be right. Does anyone know what the ratings are these days? I see more and more negative comments on social media than positive and more comments about people bailing on the show.
  4. So basically all the teams I don't like? I guess I should be happy it's not Alyson......
  5. I feel the exact same. I looked at MAFS Fan last night and wow. Is this the first season that they had zero who even said yes on D Day? I had skipped the last few seasons, but a couple of these seemed like they might be a good match. I'm not wasting my time on this knowing they all say no on D-Day. How sad that they ruined a good concept in the name of cheap drama. I'm out for good this time.
  6. In one scene Michael had his hair pulled back and I thought he looked so much better! It's almost the reverse cliche as the sexy secretary - put your hair in a bun! Wow!!!!!! 😂
  7. Pastry week is always my favorite (probably not surprising given my screen name!). Where have Picnic Pies been all my life?!??? I love watching them make laminated dough - I find it so soothing to see it rolled out, butter added and the "turns" - love seeing those little pillowy squares go back in the fridge! I think I've found my perfect ASMR ;-p I am sorry to see Nicky go, but it was time. Rowan's showstopper was hard to watch. I hate when that happens for these poor bakers that have worked so hard. Happy my two favorites (Tasha & Matty) are still doing well. I just have to say this season is such a delight and return to form for this show. They finally have the perfect combo for hosts, and the challenges are classics. The cast is all so likeable. I am glad it's back to it's pre-Netflix standard!
  8. Ha - THIS! Who is voting for this guy? He is cute, but he is not good and not improving much. I feel the same the same about Charity and Ariana. Pretty robots. I think Lele would be better with a different partner. Loved Jason and Barry, and Xochitl is wonderful, I just wish she wasn't with Val. For all the people who hate Disney night, I loathe "Most Memorable" - so schmaltzy and maudlin. And way too much contemporary which I find boring from too many years of SYTYCD - back to ballroom please! The Len tribute was perfection. I got teary when the music started and stayed that way all the way to the break. CAI and Bruno crying and the pros not moving for 30 seconds after it ended and the shots with the tears in their eyes. GAH! I miss some of them - Anna, Tony, Louis, Kym - I wish they would come back!
  9. Absolutely! She is a pretty girl, but I loathe her look - I told my husband her makeup looked like how I did my face around Y2K - frosty eye shadow and hot pink lips, blonde streaks in her hair only right around her face. Just no. And the lips - why do girls think these freaking lip fillers look good when they give your lips a shape not found in nature?!??? She looked absolutely gorgeous in the car on the way to the wedding when she had no makeup on. Either way, this one is DOA - she thinks very highly of herself and seems to have zero sense of fun or humor. She is going to hate him at first sight, which is her loss because he seems like a nice guy, although I too would not have appreciated a stuffed animal as a gift. She's not five. And contrasted with the perfume and turquoise necklace the other girls got, it is kind of lame even if it was about his heritage. The other two couples might have softened my bitter MAFS heart a little bit. Orion and Lauren don't look like a match on paper, but they might be soulmates? They both seem mature, sensitive and nice, so even if it's not a match, I hope they can be friends. And Becca and Austin - I think that might be my favorite meet at the alter moment on this show. Her joy and his crying. So cute and sweet! I would never choose her dress, but it suits her personality and I would steal that pink furry jacket in a heartbeat! If any couple has a chance this season, I think it's them. Loved the little extra kiss before the champagne! And both couple's vows were thoughtful and lovely. Imagine that! No words about Michael. I agree with everyone that the whole wedding scene was staged. His reaction was suspect and the voice over was terrible. Did someone program AI to say "I don't want to marry a stranger"? I wish they had just taken him off the show. I really hope we don't have him tagging along to the honeymoons like some weird third (9th?) wheel with long shots of him moping around a resort while a sad terrible song plays, but I wouldn't put it past this dumb show......
  10. Oh yay! I think I'm a week behind and just watched the Disney episode this week so to me the Len episode is next week - just realized how behind I got! Have they ever combined Disney and Halloween? A Disney villains week would be awesome!
  11. I am a Disney Fanatic, but why can't they use some different songs? Their catalog is enormous and it's not like they can't get permission to use them since this is just a long Disney commercial on a channel they already own! Very surprised nobody danced to the new song from the new movie Wish...... So is there no Halloween episode this year? Bummer.....
  12. So true!!!!! I am completely baffled by the responses on the after show that a couple of the gals had never watched the show! I get not having watched it if you were approached by producers through a dating app, and you didn't apply because you were a super fan, but how could you sign up for this without checking it out first? Or at least googling the success rate? I did like that one of them addressed signing up despite the low success rate - "the ones that do make it are so inspiring" - maybe they convince themselves that they will be one of the few that do make a successful match? I think that severely underestimates the desire of the producers for drahhhhmahhhh....
  13. I cannot stand when they use their vows to just make a cutesy speech! There was not a singe "vow' in her vows - why get married if you can't take it seriously from the get go!
  14. I think the coat thing was what gave me the weird vibes - like fine if you don't want that, but that's her job - leave her to do it. I think it's terrible that the show forces these gross parties on them. I wouldn't want my bachelorette party to be with a bunch of strangers and I definitely wouldn't want strippers. I miss when everyone did their own bachelor/bachelorette parties separately with their own family and friends.
  15. Totally agree! I thought she looked fab with the pompadour hair and hot pink jumpsuit at the rose ceremony! She is my new favorite since Edith left. She gives off "normal" vibes". I have zero problem with Teresa tattling to Gerry after that conversation with Kathy, especially since Kathy went to Gerry blubbering over the "daggers" last week. Tit for tat, but I'm feeling like Gerry is not into all this drama - he's given Teresa the last rose two ceremonies in a row, like he's really debating if it's worth keeping her..... I would have sent Sandra home for missing her daughter's wedding - that speaks more about her wrong priorities than anything else. Family first over a silly tv show! I think Ellen and Leslie are the top two right now.
  16. Ironically, on the matchmaking special, one of the panel said he's in the wrong city - she thought he looks like he belongs in LA, and I have to agree. Did he give a crown and scepter to his bride as a gift? If not, what the heck? Didn't anyone tell him not to upstage the bride???? And if he did, maybe that made her back out - it's a little too Game of Thrones.... Was she at the bachelorette party and they edited her out???? Are we ever going to see this chick? I do feel kind of bad for him - rejected at first sight, but he is a weird choice for this show. Also, he looks way better with his hair pulled back. I have taken a break from the last couple seasons, but I kind of missed it plus not much new on tv, so I'm going to give it a shot again. I'll probably bail after the honeymoon episodes - I haven't seen any spoilers for this season, but I will be checking and if nobody stays together, I usually end up losing interest. This group isn't inspiring much hope! Emily looks like what you would get if Virginia and Clara had a baby. Platinum blonde and a vulgar party girl. Brennan seems nice, he deserves better and he is going to be upset when he finds himself divorced in a few weeks...... These people all seem mismatched. Maybe Austin and Pink Hair, but I don't know - he kind of gave off weird vibes at the bachelor party even though I don't blame him for not being into that stuff.
  17. I cannot express my utter joy at seeing the travel agents and airport drama return!!!!! As one of the racers said: classic TAR! It was so sweet to see those guys leapfrog the early flight when theirs was delayed! I know there are equalizers when the travel is this spread out, but it adds so much drama to the show that's been missing for years. LOVE IT!!!!!! And I feel a little evil, but I was kind of happy to see Victor and Jocelyn struggle. Their attitude at the beginning like it's their right to be in first was so unrealistic. They were absolutely terrible at making that rice paper. Talk about flop sweat - Jocelyn looked like she just stepped out of a shower by the end ;-p I am glad the girls used their Express Pass, but it would have been better to use it on the second task instead of the boat one which they were already partially finished with and wasn't that hard - if they had used it on the second task they would have been at the front of the pack instead of the middle. I think they guys were completely flabbergasted that they were in last place, like no clue. I am glad it's a mega leg because I would be sad to lose them. They need to pick up the pace though. I wasn't loving the crabby lady that said she wasn't here to make friends. Like, you are experiencing something incredible that very few people have ever done, and for better or for worse, you are experiencing it with these people! Who cares if you don't have a lot in common with them - you have TAR in common now - bond over that! What is the point of travel if not to have new experiences and broaden your mind, and part of that is people!
  18. Yes! I thought the same thing - her lips look like someone whose face has been pulled too tight, you know what I mean???? And I also wondered if she has had a lip flip which I think almost always makes people look absolutely ridiculous. Most people (especially in this age group!) don't have top lips that puffy and full........Teresa also has those crazy stretched lips, which are even more unfortunate on her with her wide grin....... It's a fun side game with this show - guess what plastic surgery the participants have had???? ;-p
  19. I 100% support Edith for Golden Bachelorette! And Leslie definitely seems like a "fun gal", but I did like when she joked about turning down her hearing aid to drown out the drama. I have her as my #1 pick with my friends guessing game, not because I like her best (that was Edith - Boo), but because she's "sexy" (Gerry's words) and he is always touching her.
  20. This! My friend and I gathered to watch this and I said "this is not a good look for a 70 year old". The mean girl circle, talking behind Teresa's back and tattling to Gerry is so immature. Bullying Teresa and making her cry when she apologized? Wow. I would say grow up, but.......I don't care that Teresa went up to her and told her Gerry visited her in her room - she deserved it after speaking that way about her! Crying to Gerry about "all the daggers she had endured today" - Good lord how ridiculous! I hope Kathy goes next - she got a rose, but only a hug? Nothing happening there. And I don't mean to be ageist, but Kathy actually looks like an old lady compared to the rest of them. I am bummed Edith got sent packing - she was the most beautiful to me, but maybe she's just too normal for this nonsense - she summed it up perfectly when she said the problem was 12 women trying to date the same man......
  21. I kind of feel like this show was doing that with Baylon and Shin, both force users that are not Jedi, and Baylon because of his disillusionment with the Jedi. I think it's crazy that Ahsoka would want to train Sabine as a padawan, which made no sense to me given how the Jedi treated her. But maybe she's just doing that because that was how she was trained? I still think Sabine makes a better Mandalorian than Jedi. I read an article last night that said it was lazy, predictable and boring that Sabine was suddenly able to tap into the Force just when she needed it. It would have been more interesting seeing her trained as a Jedi without strong Force powers. Is that even possible? I guess we won't see it here........
  22. Almost traitorous???? Absolutely traitorous! I feel like this was her story because she went from betraying Ahsoka to helping her at the end and the show focused almost as much on her as on Ahsoka.
  23. I know it was, but it still felt like a bait and switch, and I say that as someone who likes Bo-Katan. I do think Sabine's story was given almost as much weight as Ahsoka's, but maybe that's for the best? I don't know how boring it would be to watch Ahsoka scowling and gazing with her arms crossed over her middle any more than we had to.....
  24. Omg yes! This is the third show that they have done this to - BOBF was taken over by Mando (the only thing that saved that show, but still), Bo-Katan took over as the main character on Mandalorian, and now Sabine over Ahsoka. It's gotten ridiculous. I feel they are on the verge of over saturation with Star Wars much like Marvel. Maybe they need to take a break and work on the story a little more. I have less faith in Dave Filoni telling a good story than I had a few series ago......
