  1. I’m pretty sure he said “switched it up”. Maybe someone should rewatch this scene with the CC on so we can put this gripping mystery to rest. 😋
  2. Just like he should stop nagging her to cook for him........
  3. You think??? I think it’s certain that they deliberately do this, going back to season two when Davina said living outside Manhattan was a deal breaker and they matched her with someone who lives in New Jersey. Then you can add Nick the dog lover with Sonia (terrified of dogs), Tom who lives in a bus with Lily who sells high end real estate. The list goes on. I think what really pisses me off is that despite constantly reminding us that these are “legally binding marriages” they do not seem to take any responsibility for the disastrous pairings that frequently occur. Once the selection is made then the success or failure is pushed off completely on the participants with the “experts” strongly encouraging these couples to just work harder even though it’s obvious to everyone that they would be better off calling it quits. I think it’s kind of disgusting actually because it’s clear some of these people are too emotionally fragile and yet they just persist as if these are just stories for a tv show and not these peoples actual real life. Just sick. I have zero respect for Dr. Pepper, Pastor Cal and Dr. Blondie.
  4. The problem for me with Kate's dress is that she picked a dress with a high neckline. She is a busty girl, and that style of neckline looks frumpy on anyone over a B cup. She might not have had a large selection, but she could have found something much more flattering to her own body. I think she doesn't really understand how to dress her body just in general because I've found most of her wardrobe pretty frumpy, and part of it is that she picks crew neck tops which is the exact same problem as the wedding dress. It makes your boobs look huge, but not in a sexy way. I have learned this since birthing two kids and having gone up a cup size myself (Is this TMI?!?). You have to be more careful in picking flattering tops when you have bigger boobs!
  5. Yes it’s pretty sick. Despite his horrible words I feels bad for both Luke and Kate for being put in this situation by these assholes who will take no responsibility for this disastrous pairing.
  6. I totally agree. The problem though is that it’s not Kate’s fault this happened and his words were unnecessarily cruel. I don’t have a problem with him telling her that she isn’t his type, but it’s a step too far to use the words repulsed and dead inside. That’s on him.
  7. Run, Kate, RUN! It’s not ever going to happen. I agree with Dr. Pepper that attraction can grow, but only if a modicum of attraction exists to begin with. That’s not going to occur when you are starting from “repulsed”.... While I appreciate Keith’s willingness to be active for Kristine, enough with the cooking! He’s like a broken record about it! I think they are cute together though, but we’ll see what happens once they get back to reality...... AJ and Steph are winning. The homework drama was a big ball of nothing. Will and Jasmine are boring. I don’t care about the gender roles, fear of heights, mud cleanliness. They are just boring to me, and I can’t figure out why. Will did the homework exactly how a financial analyst would: he made a list. It was very cut and dried - all that was missing was the spreadsheet.
  8. I’m not sure what everyone is seeing with the before and after photos of Luke - to me it just looks like he shaved his head with a 1 or 2 razor which is verrry short. His hairline is the same with or with or without the hair. Unless it’s just that everyone enjoys making fun of this pretentious turd, in that case carry on.......
  9. What a snooze fest! If you condensed the show down to just the actual competition I think you might have 10 minutes of content, maybe 15 if I’m being generous. ANW is only a few months away. I’ll wait for that - sorry The Rock!
  10. Just finished this series - I don’t care if Casey is a lesbian or bi, but I I agree with you 100% re:Izzy. I think she is a manipulative user and a horrible bully. I am also disappointed with Casey because it looks like she is going to cheat on Evan (who I love), which is completely hypocritical after the way she treated her mom for cheating on her dad. Despite this, I enjoy this show and will definitely tune in for season 3!
  11. This is driving me bananas! And it just comes across as lazy for Lifetime to not have re-edited it or even bother to put a disclaimer about the prizes. I mean, in this day and age people know how old this season is and we don’t live in a vacuum. Yet another reason I am glad the franchise is moving back to Bravo....
  12. Now this is how you use seatbelts! I think if Seth Aaron’s “dress” had more resembled his sketch it could have been cool, but he just didn’t get there. I’m bummed because I always love him, but there was no justification for that mess. This show is killing any good feelings I had for Anthony Ryan and Sean. Absolute garbage coming from both of them - they can both go any time. It pains me to say so but Anya made my favorite look this week. Why does Evan Biddell go by Biddell and not Evan? Either way, I enjoy him. I didn’t like that gold peanut wrapper skirt he made, but it did look better as a skirt than pants.....
  13. @Yeah No I see what you are saying. I guess I am taking it as contradictory because the conversation about Will paying bills was interspersed with talking heads of Jasmine referring to herself that way. To me it seemed related. When I think “independent”, that means independent in all areas, including financially.
  14. I think it's hard to make assumptions on what the time frame was they were talking about. If Jasmine was thinking that far ahead I agree it's not realistic to expect it to always be 50-50, but when it's a stranger you may or may not be married to for only 8 weeks, I think it's a little premature to expect this "stranger" to pay your bills, and I think that's where Will's alarm comes from. I mean, they just met three days earlier, and now this woman is telling him he has to pay his bills and hers too?!? I don't think that's a conversation for that point in their relationship, or at the very least, the honeymoon. As far as the experiment, I would expect them to split shared expenses evenly unless one person feels like they want to do more if there is a huge disparity in income, but even then I don't think you should be obligated to pay bills for your spouse until the experiment is over. Also, Jasmine likes to refer to herself as a fierce independent woman, and maybe that's what Will asked for. Now the "fierce independent woman" is telling him he has to be the provider and take care of her. It's definitely confusing to say the least, and I don't think she can have it both ways......
  15. You might think his sense of style is atrocious, but he definitely thinks he looks awesome......
  16. Oh this show. Once again, Joey is my favorite. When he rode up on that scissor lift I died. All the Godfather stuff was gold. I also laughed at the surfer on the river - "I filmed this at the beach". And soccer girl's disgust at Timmy singing "Old Man River". Ha! So not right, but so funny. I like that in Mom's mind, food = love. My grandmother was the same way. My favorite TV Dinner was the Turkey one because it had the apple crisp :-p
  17. Yep yep yep. I think he is phony as hell. I also think he is a total self styled hipster that thinks he is too cool for boring old normal Kate. I mean, image is everything with him to the point he bought a car he couldn't afford - hence the speed dating business. I think this was just another revenue stream for him, and hey, if he could hook up with a hot woman, so much the better, and if not, it's just 8 weeks, right? I absolutely believe he was recruited, and we know from past seasons those people are not here for "right reasons", in Bachelor-speak. I do not for one minute think this guy wanted to be married for real. What I think is crazy is that people think he's gay. Why on earth would a gay man go on this show in this day and age? This guy in particular has no real reason to be in the closet if he was. It makes no sense to me whatsoever. Metrosexual, sure, gay, no way.
  18. Did anyone see episode 1 of the Bachelor this season? The sloth did not make the first round cut......
  19. He seemed really embarrassed by it - "You want to talk about this now?!?" Although I think he just straight up isn't attracted to her, maybe he is weirded out by the cameras? Either way, his response was strange and immature.
  20. I think he's one of those people who think they're being funny, but what he's saying ends up just being really mean. She definitely is an easy target, especially since she just seems to go along and doesn't stand up for herself. It's another disastrous pairing for our stupid "experts". Yes, she is crazy or delusional if she thinks what works for her parents who have been together for a long time is the correct strategy when you just married a stranger that you might only be married to for 8 weeks......
  21. Yes to this. It sounds like she described herself as an independent woman to the experts, but now she wants someone to take care of her. This kind of seems like Monet and Vaughn from season 1 in reverse. She thought she wanted traditional gender roles, but she was too independent for that to work (also, Vaughn was gross). Now we have someone describing themselves as independent but then wanting a man to take care of her.......
  22. Costa Rica! I am so jealous - it's on my bucket list to visit. Definitely seems like an upgrade in Honeymoon destinations for this show......moving on........ Luke is an asshat, but Kate would drive me crazy too, and btw, has she ever seen this show??? Lying about smoking has caused some of the biggest drama in the history of this show! Not cool at all. Unlike Derek though, she did say (in her monotone, drugged sounding voice) that she would give it up forever if it bothered him, so there is that. I would think he would be more into her since he's into sloths because she talks soooooo sloooooowwww....... Not sure how you can defend your "fierce independent woman" stance and still expect your sugar daddy to take care of you. I thought Will was very calm and mature when discussing it with her. I still think she is really pretty, but her attitude might change my mind on how attractive I find her....... Even though I think they are a total mismatch in the long run, I enjoyed Kristine trying to whip Keith into shape, and him playing Happy Wife, Happy Life. Maybe Steph can send AJ her way to help with that Dad Bod..... Speaking of Steph and AJ, even though he's extra, I find them delightful. Look at that - two mature adults just getting along! I like that she was like, so what if he's not buff, it's not the most important thing, and him saying, I'm not the most in shape guy, but it's ok - she likes me for who I am. Possibly the most honest, sweetest words ever spoken on this show. That dinner was like One of these things is not like the others.........very awkward watching Kate and Luke with the others. I am glad she at least voiced her needs/wants even though this relationship is DOA. He is not attracted to her in the least. If I was her, I would not want that gross beard anywhere near me either!
  23. Yes I know. I was not asking for an explanation; more that even when told what it meant I still did not recall that because it was so long ago.
  24. I agree with this so much. It's like they want it to be Downton Abbey, but that show was about life in the Abbey, both upstairs and downstairs. This show is called Victoria - It should be about her and the people as they interact with her. It's not "Buckingham Palace". I don't need a separate story about these fake people. There is nothing new to say there that hasn't been done better elsewhere, and it detracts from the real story of the show - Victoria herself. I also thought that guy was Ernst. I am so confused by the rotating people - they just come and go with no reason, and with the gap in time since the last season plus a time jump in the show, I just can't keep them straight. The sister is creepy though. I think Victoria is not annoyed so much that she left her at Kensington to get married, but more that she hasn't heard from her, like ever, and now she just shows up and expects Victoria to help her. Albert continues to be my favorite part. I liked that when challenged that he didn't know how the lower classes lived, he went and found out. I don't know if Albert was like this in real life, but TV Albert is a gem.
