  1. He wasn't intending to harass her, therefore he wasn't harassing her. Oy.
  2. I'm missing something here. Would it be odd for Ruby to be attending the same high school that Amber did? Or do we know that it's a different school and are therefore surprised that Mr. Cyr has moved there? I'm getting kind of excited about hate-watching this episode tonight. LOL!
  3. "Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me. <awkward pause while she laughs> Aren't you?" From the NY Times obituary: Indeed. RIP, Mr. Nichols.
  4. I believe that photo is from S2, Ep 1, which I saw recently. Early in the episode, Miranda is berating Carrie for still wallowing in her post-break-up melancholy. The foursome goes to the Yankees game, where Carrie winds up with a foul ball and they meet "the new Yankee," who asks Carrie out. Later in the episode, Miranda spies her ex and hides before he can see her. I think the outfit pictured above is what she's wearing during that scene. Miranda then realizes she's not as "over" him as she'd thought, and confides this to Carrie in the last scene.
  5. Thanks, I wasn't paying attention closely during that storyline. So she was a first year associate back in Chicago, accidentally got pregnant, married Peter, then deliberately had another child the next year? Or was Grace another "whoopsie"?
  6. How do we know Alicia was pregnant when she and Peter married?
  7. Jamal Duff, 6'8" former NFL player, per IMDb.
  8. Seeing as how I wrote it, yes, I do think it! The show set up Alicia to be in her early 40s in the pilot: graduated law school at 25 and had her first kid within a couple of years, and Zach was 13 or 14 at the start. Peter always read as considerably older than that, in part because I knew Chris Noth was older (and thought he looked it), but also because early 40s seemed too young to be a seasoned SA for Cook County.
  9. And last season, in The Bet, Capt. Holt accidentally spilled the beans to Terry's wife that Terry was petitioning to be reinstated to active duty (or something like that...) Sharon Jeffords has appeared only once so far.
  10. Was the story Peter told about how he and Alicia met supposed to imply they were both students at Georgetown Law at the time? No way Peter graduated in the same class as (or even just two years ahead of) Alicia. Chris Noth is 60, Julianna is 48, and the age gap between their characters looks every one of those 12 real-life years, in my opinion. ;-) Plus, he wouldn't have had enough time to gain the experience necessary to become States Attorney at the time the show started. Lastly, wasn't it implied earlier that she was already involved with Peter when she met Will during some student orientation function during the first week of law school? Peter's story doesn't jibe with that timeline either. My jetlag caused me to doze off and have to rewind several times last night, but I'm still confused about Peter and Ramona. (What a character name choice -- Ramona will always be Beezus' little sister in the Henry Huggins books for me!)
  11. Thank you! I just watched the episode On Demand this morning and was ready to punch through my TV set. Who TF are the Boston consultants on this show? And you don't even have to be from Boston to know this -- as you said, just listen to the actual Boston-based newscasters who pronounced it Water. Town. Yeesh.
  12. What was the neighbor trying to tell Bow as she drove away? Could not make it out.
  13. I liked this episode better on rewatch. So many great moments!
  14. Maybe because cancer is actually 100s of difference diseases, whose mechanisms we still don't understand because they are complex and involve random behavior.
  15. I thought they said the filing job paid $30/hr. Are they filing Kryptonite?
  16. $4K a month rent in Chicago is insane. Very nice 2 BR/2Bath units in doorman buildings in Streeterville can be had in the $3K range -- and that's more apartment than someone Cary's position should be renting anyway.
  17. Good point, but it may actually be after Christmas now. There were 5 episodes pre-jump, which I would think covered more than a month. But who knows with this show?
  18. Agreed. There were some individual lines and scenes that truly made me LOL, but the overall pacing and direction felt "off" compared to earlier episodes.
  19. Wow, I hadn't realized that was Eva Longoria, having seen her mainly as an awards show presenter. IMDb lists her in the credits for the Nov. 30 episode, The Road Trip -- as well as the actor who plays Teddy.
  20. Don't recall seeing a link to this NY Times profile of Andre Braugher in this forum yet: Andre Braugher, the UndercoverBraugher leaves nothing to chance with his acting. And more... Excellent profile!
  21. Who would have thought in Feb., 1979 that Mick Jagger would still be performing in 2014? He was already an "old man" of 35 back then. Wish we'd gotten one of Judy Collins's songs. Anyone remember what she sang? ¿Quien Es Mas Macho? was truly inspired. So wonderfully deadpan.
