  1. "Wuntch" has to be a play on Munch, right? Can't wait to see this!
  2. Maybe I have very low expectations at this point, but I laughed quite a bit during this episode. Thought The Ebola in Our Everything, the Cheating/Pizza Hut sketch, and the one where people kept finishing each other's thoughts were very good, as was Silverman's monologue. Other bits were pretty strong as well. River Boat didn't quite reach whatever it was aiming for, but they can't all be winners.
  3. No attorneys sit out in the open. The space they had F/A procure is simply ridiculous. There are turn-key operations in Chicago where you can rent fully equipped office space (with actual, you know, enclosed offices) on a temporary basis. If F/A couldn't afford this, they had no business starting up a new firm. I've visited many law offices in Chicago and other cities. They are unfailing quiet environments.
  4. I don't think I saw any of the last season except the 3-part finale when it originally aired. I've just watched it on Netflix for the first time, and found that I enjoyed many of the episodes very much. The stand-outs, for me, included Daddy's Middle-Aged Girl (with the always-great Robert Prosky as Rebecca's father) and Look Before You Sleep, with Sam becoming increasingly desperate for a night's rest. The season also had some surprisingly tender and emotional scenes between various characters that felt very authentic to me. Glad I finally caught up!
  5. What was the first name of Frasier's mother and what actress played her? (Too easy, I know...)
  6. She was Carla Lozupone (which always sounded like a made-up name to me, but I've found some actual people named Lozupone using Google). What was the name of Eddie Lebec's other wife?
  7. Deferring to kariyaki on this one... :-)
  8. As a contact lens wearer, scenes like Cary's arrest and booking this past week always make me wonder: what happens in that situation if you need to remove your lenses and you don't have your eyeglasses and contact lens case with you when you are hauled off? :-)
  9. Marie Barone wore the same outfits multiple times in Everybody Loves Raymond, and Mad Men watchers have seen Peggy Olson re-wear outfits as well. Yup. The total tax burden is very high in NYC.
  10. Speaking of young guest stars, I'm watching (for the first time) the S11 episode with the wedding of Carla's daughter, Serafina -- played by Leah Remini, who was around 22 at the time.
  11. I've been watching some of the Rebecca seasons recently and enjoying them much more than I had anticipated. It really is a matter of adjusting expectations. Kelsey Grammer just got better and better, even as Frasier became more pathetic. I should hate the way he rags on about Lilith, but somehow I buy it from Kelsey.
  12. Heather, played by Markie Post. In season 8, Lilith takes singing lessons. What song does she sing to baby Frederick at Cheers to demonstrate her skill?
  13. I remember Ms. Bergen primarily from some 1960s comedies that have not aged well, such as Move Over, Darling and Kisses for My President. More recently, she played the mother of Geena Davis's character in a few episodes of Commander in Chief (wow, even that was over 8 years ago...)
  14. Chris Noth will be 60 this November. I'm a few years younger and have been catching up with classmates on Facebook for a reunion. Most of the men have far less hair than Noth, and what they have retained is typically very gray. Me, too. I've been critical of this show from the beginning, but the first season looks pretty decent in retrospect.
  15. She married a man-child doofus. I'd say she gave up her dignity. :-)
  16. So they're doing the male version of Orange is the New Black this season?
  17. Guesses, anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
  18. I don't know what that's from, but I like it!
  19. L is for Bennett Ludlow and Ludlow Tortelli, his Love-Child with Carla.
  20. Just read that as well, thuganomics85! Sounds like this show will go out with a bang next season.
  21. After Eddie sees Carla on their wedding day, what two things does he do to prove he isn't superstitious? (OK, I'll take one of the two things...)
  22. I'll guess: the dogs playing poker?
  23. I just saw the episode recently, too. I believe it was a Blue Moon. In Bidding on the Boys, Lilith wins a date with Sam for $2,000. What was the previous high bid that she topped, and who had made it?
