Kootie was probably thought he needed to prove to his HS classmates (who thought he was gay in HS) that he was a manly man, but Meri wasn't getting pregnant and her SIL was befriending them. It is probably a tax shelter or holding company for "donations" for Ysabel's surgery. The more companies they have, the more tax write-offs they get. Robyn commissioned the portrait and even supplied an old photo of Kootie from when Breanna was a baby so it would look like he was a member of their family from the beginning. I imagine her cutting the pic of him out of a photo with his real fambly at the time. I've always wondered how the rest of the fambly felt about this. Why aren't THEY in the portrait too?

Lilies are symbols of purity too. Robyn's probably signifies her getting her cookie back before she married Kootie. And a reminder to her kids to keep their cookies to themselves.
