  1. This is not the first time a question referenced the actress who played Sue Sylvester in Glee and the player didn't know it.
  2. April 16: 73% / 70% / 70% Decent game…in J! I ran The Movies, missed one in Lived Past 100, Don't Eat That, and Fun "Z"s, two in Fictional Driver, and three in Countries. In DJ I missed one in Making Noise, Say it in Spanish, and "M"edical Dictionary, and two in Clumsiest Time Traveler, Siblings in Pop Culture, and Land of Milk & Honey. Did not get FJ. TSes: (J had 8; DJ had 6 + 1DD) I got crayons, zydeco, Beetlejuice, crow, otter, manuka honey, blue zone, and burrito (DD, before he got it out). Darn, I was kinda rooting for Eric (mostly on my "if there are two women and one man, or vice versa, and I don't have strong feelings about any of them, I root for the odd one out" philosophy). I like Alison but I'm not attached to seeing her go on a long run.
  3. Guess it was just a matter of time… 😄
  4. You can try searching on the J! Archive (tiny search box at the top of the page). https://www.j-archive.com/showcategories.php I wonder if he just misheard and was quickly corrected. The way it played out seems like it might be hard to edit smoothly.
  5. I've found her stories funny during the interview portion. I find it less cute when she throws out random responses to clues she doesn't know. Found this exchange funny on the J! Facebook thread for the "Great Brits" FJ category:
  6. Right now I'm seeing a nice dinner...pasta, salad*, and garlic knots. *Actually I believe it's carpaccio, but there's greens and cheese shavings on top; I wouldn't eat the meat but the greens with parmesan look good. (Also a goose egg...🥚)
  7. She lost $2800 on the band questions (she rang in on two and was wrong; Joshua and Adam each got one and the last was a TS but no one attempted it).
  8. I knew it was Robert but I couldn't think of the last name.
  9. April 15: 67% / 83% / 75% First round was meh, but I only missed 5 in the second! In J I ran 3-Letter Spelling Bee, missed one in Boats and Hodgepodge, two in Voice of Television (I've never seen any of the shows (never even heard of "F is for Family" but I recognized Bill Burr), so that was pretty good), and three in Historic Americans and Places that are Also First Names. In DJ I ran Health Observances and A Love for Books, missed one each in In the Dictionary, That Band's an Institution, and "P"eople, and two in Road Scholarly. I got FJ. I guessed it just to throw something out there. Seemed like the right time frame, I knew he was at Cambridge, but did know know he was a member of Parliament. TSes: (J had 4; DJ had 9) I got harem, Archer, D.H. Lawrence, B-52s, Madness, and Jerome Powell. (Should have gotten Chad, if only because I have a cousin named Chad.) Adam didn't even ring in once during the first round, and only 4 times in the second (but he got them all right, at least). "You scared me half to death; how did you end up like this?" I liked Alison's top.
  10. I've pretty much only seen her on various rebooted game shows and that has been my general impression every time...
  11. I fully admit my wanting Cris in the running is because he's nice to look at on my teevee screen.
  12. Sam's record did not hold.
  13. Grr. I know that, too. Edited, thanks.
  14. They got on my nerves during their run but bugged me a lot less during the last Masters. Hopefully that still holds.
  15. He gets her to go dig for money ("If I were to guess I'd say pirates with holes in their pockets") in Meemaw's yard so he can take over the TV and watch Professor Proton. At about 1:40, and then 3:50. My god the kids are so young!
  16. I feel like this would be a "throw it out and play the category's extra clue" situation. Though that only works if they realize the problem right away.
  17. That makes sense. The wiki article I linked above says it was Christina, but (at least from what I caught from skimming) didn't say why she called him that.
  18. Do I remember correctly that their honeymoon trip was a weekend in Dollywood? Out of curiosity I googled and Dollywood is a 14 hour drive from Houston (not sure exactly where Medford is supposed to be but I know it's East Texas)...hardly worth it if you're only there for a couple days...
  19. And to top it all off, in my second attempt at dinner, one of my raviolis was empty! 😭
  20. I got Cooper's hawk without even seeing the picture. Not sure I would have known it was the wrong bird.
  21. No, he traced "007" (I forget why they called him that) on Meredith's hand and she figured out it was him, then Callie remembered a birthmark he had and checked for it to confirm. https://greysanatomy.fandom.com/wiki/George_O'Malley#Death
  22. I like Amy, too, but I was hoping for someone we didn't just see. But I'm happy for her.
  23. He got hit by a bus trying to save someone else from being hit by it.
  24. I'm not a big drinker, but I will take whatever alcoholic beverage goes best with fuzzy ravioli. 🍸 (I do have black Sambuca...)
  25. I've been getting those ads where suddenly a thick border appears around the screen, then retreats a bit and the ad pops up from the bottom and covers a third of my screen. There's a little arrow to minimize it and then an x appears so you can close it. Minimized it's about the size of the perma-ad bar that's already at the bottom of the screen (which you used to be able to close.) They're annoying as hell and I mostly have only seen them on this site. It's happened at least three times just while I was catching up on this thread. I googled and found some really cute dino wedding cake toppers. Of course none of them were groom and groom. Probably wouldn't be Isaac's style but how cute are these little guys?
