What purpose did it serve other than to make you cry. How does it help end a 15 season run. How does it serve the story or the character. Dean by the way is the better fighter. He has taken down multiple nests by himself and survived Purgatory for a year. This was a cake walk.

Ehhhh it's Supernatural... there is always a way. He teases it because Dabb made a very bad ending. Damn yes... where was Miracle. Dabb is Badd.
-
That death scene had me in tears too.
-
Not much of an epic fight either. This is the guy that owned Purgatory and took down nests solo.
-
Jensen did a good job. Hot mess. Not the way to end a series.

It was so well acted. Metatron's evil relish at sticking the blade in was too. Mark S was Brilliant in that episode as well.

Vamp mimes... callback to vampirites from Blood Brothers. Chuck's prophecy said that they would be turned into vamps when he was gone. I really hope they do not go that route. Could they get turned and commit suicide by sun. It is pretty old school.

Maybe he dies and it's a Dean OPT Sammy don't you die on me scene. Dean is the one with the obsession to save Sam at all costs and San is the one who is supposed to have a life outside of hunting not Dean. Maybe Jared is all jazzed because he thinks he did an awesome death scene.

Does the fact that the Wayward Son trailer have a Dean narration mean anything... . Maybe he is the one that lives to tell the tale. It struck me that they chose Dean narration for the last episode. New female vessel would blow some minds...

The fact that he did form a production company might be significant. He will be offered plum roles. No doubt of that. He doesn't need to create his own opportunities. Maybe there's more to working with Kripke than a high profile role that stretches his acting chops. I still hope that a cool Marvel role opens up. He will 4ever be my StarLord and Hawkeye.

Exactly. And we never see those strategy sessions anymore because they do not fit their misinformed Cliff note yellow sticky pad bullets of Dean. To give them credit this may have in part fallen victim to J2 requesting more me time. Good writers could have made this work without dumbing down the main characters, destroying canon and sucking in General.

Twin boys that he names Garth and Castiel.

Supernatural Bitterness & Unpopular Opinions: You All Suck
Castiels Cat replied to mstaken's topic in Supernatural
Jack lost his grace for good and then he died. The end. And for goodness sake one would think that smited by god is permanent. They never explained how that was reversed. -
EW is treating him like the star if Badd and the dabbling hacks are not. TV Guide too. I wonder if it's the media attention that the Soldier Boy announcement received. Media is giving him the star treatment. I have given up this season. IDK what we will be getting. That must be some CGI stand-in in the photo... else Dean is using a machete on a guy in a unitard and mask. Is Dabb going to pull Frailty out of his sleeve? That movie in which the dad starts hunting demons and trains the sons to do it however only one son is really invested in the family "business ".

It's a fu.

Sam has a girl and Dean is hunting alone. He stops to pick up a hitcher... it's Cas!

Yes. And Dean must be able to do those things... in fact we know that he can do those things... It's how he killed Eve for instance, caught Crowley or incapacitated Abaddon with grandad and numerous other times that Dabb wasn't the showrunner. Now he is the brawn whilst Sam does the research. Hell even the Larp epi6showed that Dean is a master tactician. The tricking of Chuck felt like a classic Dean plan... but the planning part was not important because it didn't include Jack.

The implication is... Chuck found this Dean especially interesting because he went of script. So he let it happen. It was more fun that way. Chuck has said as much and this is why he "pervs" on Dean. He was able to manipulate Dean enough to get his rocks off by knowing his tragic flaws and his penchant for self sacrifice and save Sam no matter what. He kept throwing the Apocalypses at them and twisting them for funsies. The reason I am okay with Chuck as the villain is because the Winchesters deal with one Apocalypse after another and Chuck is absent save for a middle school play celebrating his books. Amara is angry and tanting to talk to him and he hides knowing it means she will lash out at innocents... the he tells Dean that he is the firewall and the world is his responsibility. Talk about a manipulative @#! Chuck set Dean up for the sacrifice all along. Chuck liked Dean's individuality until Moriah. He really wanted Jack dead and he really wanted Dean to do it. He had set in motion all of the elements for the tableau perfectly. He really wanted to enjoy Dean's pain afterwards. Chuck enjoys Hurt!DEAN. I do not understand how the Empty can resurrect.

The entire purpose of the vampire cave debacle was for Sam to die on Dean's watch because his head wasn't in the game... he was focused on Mary. Everything that season was getting Dean to the point in which he would say yes to a sociopathic archangel to save Sam. Yes Sam had his usual hubris going on because he wanted badly to save Mary too. Both brothers were under high stress situations. At the end of that episode it's pretty obvious that Dean will take out Lucifer if he can for Sam at any cost and SAVE SAMMY is back in full force. Dabb is a comic book writer. His episodes are designed to hit essential bullets leading towards the conclusion. Or at least they were. Maybe this season was too . I just wasn't interested because I was looking for the heroes' arcs and not the side characters. Likewise last season.

Eugenie is on record as saying that the show's audience is the Riverdale crowd at Comic Con. I thik that mindset was the problem and that erroneous assumption cost them their golden goose. Ratings didn't go up and the leads bailed. Pedowitz has said that their is no Supernatural without J2. My guess is they tried to push a Spinoff of the new and improved but the numbers tanked or they thought they would be able to.
