And if this was God's awful draft playing out.... does that mean it was fake victory and he will pop up again and say ... gee you guys were so happy for one hot minute but no... it ain't that easy. And frankly the bad writing started before Becky returned.

I just blasted through 2 seasons of the Boys. That is not boring.

There were unscripted moments. It's canon that Dean goes of script. He went off script by not shooting Sam and that set off a bunch of actions that Chuck didn't write including Death sending Exploding Jack to the Empty. Yep. That was the Winchesters plan.

I was asked to be in Mensa and declined. I hated it. My estimation is that he needs to move the decimal point to the left.

If he was draining plants he would have been draining their lifeforce too... big pothole. I thought the dog would keel over because he was in the backseat with Jack. Chuck would have been able to sense the power of 2 archangels. I don't want to waste any more thought on it. It was nice that the Winchesters outmaneuvered Chuck. Jack... he is an empty vessel that they filled. Ok. Very badly written. .swan song is looking good right about now.

What was the montage at the end of this episode? Filler. It belongs next week.

Amara is in harmony with Jack inside him riding shotgun. The Winchesters got to be smart and beaten to a pulp. I assumed that Dean would be beaten to a pulp by Chuck in a SS callback. However it was handled terribly via the quick expo after the fact. Too much Jack. The Lucy bit sucked. The Michael bit sucked. Shouldn't Dean have known that Death books are unreadable... oh wait... he could read his open book. AND WHY COULDN'T THE ARCHANGEL MICHAEL READ ENOCHIAN THE LANGUAGE OF ANGELS BETTER THAN SAM?!!! I felt nothing but boredom and disdain.

It's an uneven episode but the parts with Dean's crisis over his being saved and what it means for Layla is extremely poignant. Also the subtext in Roy choosing him. These were the highlights and elevate the episode. Dean almost dying so quickly was scary.

And that is a typical Dabbernatural season finale...

Chuck is probably the one possessed by Amara or maybe the better take is she just becomes the one in charge. Perhaps she leaves so they take out Chuck. If so then Nougat seems the more likely than Sam .. if not Dean. But I think they set her up to be the Goddess.

If they go back to their original roles... Sam is with a girl and Dean is hunting alone. More like he restores heaven methinks but his way not to some Chuck plan.

Ms. NEP DUO IS SINGER'S WIFE. Not sure how one gets around that. Singer should never have hired his wife. I liked Regarding Dean. I also liked the episode in which Dean takes Jack fishing despite it being Jack heavy. I thought the father son activities and Dean's pain at losing this son adjacent being were touching. Parts of Nihilism and Ouroboros were good.

Probably rewatched for THE SCENE.

They are not great writers but they are consistent in some things. That speech was about more than Destiel, especially when Chuck previously notes that Dean and Amara's bond wasn't his story. That means it's Dean and that bond. Amara learning about love through Dean saved the world in 11. Now Cas gives that speech putting it into text. IDK... Maybe they attack even though it is hopeless Maybe Chuck is pummeling Dean and Amara inside him stops it via SS and this gives Sam the opening. I could see this happening. Isn't the season finale on Thursday. They have to regroup and come up with a plan to kill God and kill him in one episode. Just great.

I could see the big bang waking a lot of people up so the Empty has to eject them... like it did Cas Killed Hitler. My interpretation of what Dabb said made me think they were definitely separated and one was probably dead.

Amara would possess Dean. I guess he must be dead if she couldn't.

Yes. I have expect them to go full on Star Wars and have Chuck say... Dean I AM YOUR FATHER. THAT is how relevant Dean has been and it would explain Chuck's focus on him. Bad writing or not... this has been consistent. Chuck is interested in Dean. Many many supernatural beings are interested in Dean. Some are changed for the better by Dean... REDEEMED by knowing him. The King of Hell sacrificed his life for Dean!!! Dean repeatedly goes off script and in season 5 Chuck indulges him. In season 11 God's own sister is humanized by Dean and learns to love humanity and the world because she bonds with him. Chuck answers his cry for help and Dean is told that he is responsible for the world. Dean chooses how the story ends. Now this storyline is all about Dean refusing to play ball. Cas'pre-Death monologues isn't just a Destiel outing... it's a testament to Dean's superpower and his role. It's a bit much to throwaway at this juncture even for a Badd writer.

Sam's leadership arc can be summed up as EVERYBODY DIES.
