  1. I know that people have mentioned JJ is available on Pluto TV's Courtroom Channel. A JJ time capsule is a great thing! Yesterday, there was a marathon. Still in season 2? from 1997. Wow, the older seasons were amazing. Interesting stories. JJ had patience and listened and gave some excellent advice. She even smiled frequently. (I can understand that 25 years of people insisting on not listening to her has shortened her fuse.) People dressed appropriately and treated the court and the process and (mostly) each other with respect. Litigants were able to explain their case coherently and answer questions. Well worth a watch—and totally free.
  2. Very sad. Honestly, if you had to pick a most-likely-to-die-very-soon list from the show, I think Tracie would have made most people's top 3.
  3. So, the Gremlin was obviously going home anyway. When he was "singing" my guess was Gary Busey or someone else with a lot of damaged brain cells. Wasn't shocked to see Mickey Rourke. Totally agree with the earlier poster who thought the hype about the big surprise should have been left out. That would have made for much more entertainment.
  4. Leanne Rimes was my guess for The Sun too!
  5. I always saw hesitation with Floyd and Evie. I really didn't think he would leave.
  6. 30 seconds in and wondering who dressed Karlie? The "Ace bandage / would have been a serious wardrobe malfunction had the camera been over a couple inches" look was eye-catching in not a good way.
  7. So glad they didn't eliminate a designer before announcing the winner. No one needs to know that they came in last. Not winning has to be painful enough. Christian's growth is astonishing. I really thought he was so rude and unpleasant on his season. Age (and maybe success/acceptance) does wonders for some people. I think it is possible that Kate lost a noticeable amount of weight. I though Garo had noticeably gained weight in the months leading up to the finale. That dress should have been scrapped. I was very happy with the outcome, although I didn't see all of the foreshadowings for a Hester win that many here did. (Had she won, I would have been done with PR.) I thought it's been Sebastian's to lose for a long time.
  8. Really liked this--and all of the revamped game shows! I too thought Rock the Casbah right away!
  9. How did that look not get skewered on the runway? The model hid behind Hester and not one judge mentioned the ill-fitting white sheer blouse as a dress with knee socks. I was screaming at the TV! I agree that Garo had the biggest task for his extra outfit. Maybe he shouldn't have told Nina that he had 16 outfits ready to go... I really liked Garo all season, but I felt like he lost his identity in this collection. There wasn't a corset or any hint of corsetry in any looks he showed. His signature didn't make it to these looks. Add me to the list who is out if Hester wins. Sebastian FTW!
  10. Are we in the minority and most DC fans are clamoring for more of Josh Harris?! Reading everything here mirrors my thinking everytime the show is on. I root for him to catch nothing, have serious mechanical issues, etc., every week. (The editing on his wheelhouse scenes was ridiculous this episode. Heavy beard shadow one shot, clean shaven the next. Snowing one shot, clear skies the next.) PS - He is 35 years old, as is Casey. Jake A is almost 38. Stop calling them "young skippers"!
  11. One thing that really jumped out at me this episode were the shoes. As a whole, they looked clunky, cheap, shiny and sad. I don't usually notice the shoes, but these screamed at me. Looking forward to the twin split-up next week. It has to be Shawn who goes...she wouldn't have sent one article of clothing down the runway without Claire there helping her. I will be beyond disappointed if they both get to stay somehow. Shawn has clearly outstayed her (very limited) talent and ability. I think Claire may have too, but I'd like to see her in action without her twin sister functioning as an anchor around her neck before making that determination for sure. I figured the PTB were keeping them around solely for the purpose of heightened drama like they've promised us with the sew-off. Brandon's constant state of calm is so impressive. In my opinion, he's going to get the "show us something different" warning from Zac or Nina any day now. One Trick Pony, One Way Monkey, he's there.
  12. I think three things did Dexter in: Recycling the shoulders that the judges didn't like the first time around. It's great to have your own aesthetic, but if the judges don't buy it, find another. Having the model's undergarments as one of the focal points of his garment. Always giving attitude if the judges had any criticism for his look. His arms were always crossed; Judge Judy would be telling him to "uncross those arms!"
  13. So sad that Harvey Levin's mug and street interviews are still part of this show!
  14. I found this episode painful. Real Housewives with dirty guys on boats. I've always felt like DC was one of the more authentic reality shows, but I feel like everyone's got their story line already. Keith - gets the pity edit this season, drowning his sorrows in alcohol weepily Sig - OG of the DC, but really a mean girl (seriously, leave Jake alone and go fish!) Jake - nervous newbie, who thinks it's cute to be nervous (I don't believe for one second he wouldn't have his first 27 pot sites picked out before leaving the dock) Josh - lazy, good for nothing, living off family name (the one you have to root against) Johnathan - old time goof ball (like Sonja Morgan from RHNYC) Bill - the one you forget is there the second he's off screen New guy seems nice and grounded, but it's episode 1. His parents didn't think a college education might be a better investment in his future than a fishing boat? That whole conversation with Sig was painfully fake. Ugh. I cannot watch Josh Harris sit in that wheelhouse doing nothing for another season. Why don't his silent partners insist that he do something?! He doesn't even bother to look at the guys signalling the crab count; Casey has to tell him how many. His butt should be on the deck, working. This was a long two hours for me. Hoping Disco is just laying some groundwork and I get the real DC back next week.
  15. The sobbing in the first hour almost killed me. Paid no attention during the visit home. That being said, Rob and Luis both look great. I think they are the first really impressive post-stories.
  16. I am so stunned that this is back! The child abuse on this show makes Abby Lee look like a fairy godmother! Not much representation of lower socio-economic classes, are there? Nothing like being well-off to help a kid be "gifted." Well, except Adrian, and Harvard has a program that gives kids whose families make under a certain income level (I want to say 80K or 100K) full tuition. Plus he is sure to get other money to defray other costs. I hope he is not planning to head off to college anytime soon. He's just a baby. The parents, yikes. Not sorry to see that first girl's mom go. She was rude to everyone from the outset. I think it was the wall-punching girl who got eliminated. No big surprise there. Apple--tree. I think kids were cast for their parents big time this year! I too was surprised at the kids' math performance. I'm wondering if nerves didn't play a part in so many doing not very well. The whole competition is a big memorization contest. So, I guess I'm betting on Chancellor for the win.
  17. I watch with cc on and volume barely detectable. About 30 minutes in, I'm ok. Some teams seem very nice, lots of vanilla, no villain candidates in my opinion. Some real sad sacks who need a big pep talk. Like Bob as host. I was tired of perpetually constipated and miserable looking Allison pretending to cheer people on. I think bob, jen and dolvett are more sincere. Long way to go. We'll see... Giggled at Richard Hatch's tax joke.
  18. Dawn is so contrary. Lauren suggests freezing eggs isn't a good idea, so she wants to be told she can freeze her eggs just to prove Lauren wrong. Dr tells 5-10% chance of IVF and not a great chance of conceiving naturally, so they're off on a baby making mission. Doctors who examined her recommended a hysterectomy. Dr who has known her 5 minutes asks one question about periods and declares she doesn't need a hysterectomy, so she's not having one. Are we really to believe these 40-somethings want a baby? I think not. Reminds me of the Tamara peeing on a stick drama on RHOC a few seasons back. I agree about Leanne. She has got to go. Brings nothing!!
  19. Leanne is such a hot, classless mess. Rather than greeting Lauren civilly , she brings up unpleasantries from the dinner party immediately. Who does that? Also, what was she wearing to that party? As though the pattern wasn't monstrous enough, peeks of her doughy middle sticking out were too much. And her hair and face just always have a sort of greasy unwashed look to them. She may have married a footballer and think she's done okay, but she's not fooling many people I think. She is the real trash in this group. I enjoy Tanya's self deprecating humor. She seems a bit tipsy maybe in some of her talking heads and obviously finds herself quite hilarious.
  20. I haven't had any new JJs taping since before Christmas--boo! I'm still shocked that people struggled with spelling the name Charlotte. How do people try to spell it?
  21. What kind of spa has falconry or duck herding as guest activites? Any RH worth her salt would be gone! Agree with the poster up thread saying that Leanne is the real shit stirrer. She goes in search of it to stir constantly. And that dress at dinner! Faux transparent panels all over and length barely to her bits! If it didn't fit so unattractively, I'd think she was still stripping.
  22. I have to confess to buying ramen today with thoughts of trying to make Arnold's burgers. I've poked around online. Basically, you cook the ramen, coat it with egg, press it into a ramekin and weight it down to hold the shape. The recipe calls for one package of ramen per burger--and that gives me pause. It's almost 400 calories just in the ramen alone!
  23. I know that they seek out heavier contestants every year, but it is disheartening to me when many contestants still look like befores on the finale. Please, please get someone with more classic taste to dress the women. Shiny, short and tight is not a good look for many. Rob actually weighs 1 pound less than Scott at this point. Very glad to see Sonya and Blake in a normal BMI range.
  24. Me too--and I liked that. Mom is almost a caricature of the over achieving, Asian mom though. I cannot imagine living with that. Ryan's got to be all the way to the finals with the amount of air time his family gets.
  25. Toma looks so short, but at 5' 11", he doesn't have far to go at all. I'm not sure he has enough weight left to lose to win everything. I love his makeover, it took an easy 10+ years off of him. Sonya's makeover, in my opinion, is tragic. Her new hairstyle and color aged her. She was a youthful looking 40 before. Now, she looks every minute of it. She still has quite a bit of weight to lose and works hard. Love both of their attitudes and would be happy to see either win. I think Sonya is the more likely. I just feel sorry for Rob, and hope he gets a lot of therapy when he's done at the ranch. There's got to be back story there. Even on makeover day, when his brother was revealed, both of their reactions were very tepid. There was no emotion. And obviously, Rob is dying to show emotions. I don't think he's ever learned how. He is young and very immature and, hopefully, he will get some help and get his act together after the weight loss. Obviously, he has the most left to lose and could pull off a win. I would be fine with that too. I really pity him and would like to see him happy. Something, to me, went very wrong earlier in his life for him to end up that stunted emotionally and that heavy. Woody, eh...
