  1. Oh no, not Helen. That's just mean...or at least it is IMO, because I couldn't stand Helen...not even a little....no matter how hard they tried to make her likeable.
  2. Here is the thing. I didn't know Heidi Klum worked with PETA, but there are very few people anymore, and almost no one in Hollywood that would wear authentic animal skin. And certainly not on TV. Thats just begging for a protest. So I have no idea what Korina was thinking, especially since her color was so ugly. It seemed a shame that a snake had to die for that ugly ass dress. Although I almost laughed out loud when Heidi was like "I don't want to wear fake snake skin" and Korina thought she would make it better by letting Heidi know that it was real snakeskin....whomp whomp
  3. OMG! This sounds like a fun game, walk into a Wal-Mart blindfolded and see who you come out with. I bet you would get some very interesting people
  4. I always think Sprockets! Always, but this just makes me like him. LMAO @ his glasses being like the Berlin Wall.
  5. Really? Goodness why? I can understand giving Zach a hard time in his goodbye message, but if everything is just gameplay then why get so personal if he hasn't done anything to you? It makes me even more annoyed with Christine, its like, the minute she is part of the "cool kids" crowd she just turns into a mean girl. Has no one seen movies from the 80's? No one say "Can't Buy Me Love?" I'm assuming Christine (despite all of her pathetic attempts to convince the world otherwise) was never the "cool girl" in school, she was probably almost always an outcast, so instead of embracing that, and being nice to people, she gets her one chance to be popular and does all these things that look just desperate to me. Its like she is so ashamed of being the standard outcast that the minute she is part of the cool kids she wants to be the meanest one. Cody is a good looking guy, and so he may not understand how much some of that stuff can sting because he may have always been popular, but Christine knows better and should behave better. I can't believe that she will take any pride in her behavior.
  6. That is a nice picture. I think he should propose soon. I'm normally not at all about the TV proposal, but I would make an exception in this case. I think he would have been treated differently without the beard, but I thought he was using it for the "country bumpkin" angle. I don't know, I think the older male players in the game as far as I can tell, always have a bit of a rough time. is that something they look forward to doing? Aren't they pretty much amongst friends at this point since 95% of them are in an alliance?
  7. I wonder if they were available/popular in East Germany? Well, if I were another designer I think it would be a risk/reward scenario. I mean, you don't give her the money and you risk looking like an asshat on TV, especially if production makes her look sympathetic. Additionally, since she has been winning challenges and one of them allowed her the chance to pick fabrics for the challenge I would want to stay on her good side. Then what do you gain by not giving her the money. Maybe she goes and buys amazing fabric, but she is only going to have like 4 hours to turn that fabric into something awesome if she is going to win, and thats unlikely, she is no Kini. I don't think any of the designers that stayed could have possibly thought they were going to be pushed into the bottom three by giving her the money, because I think the bottom three was pretty set even before they left for Mood. There were a lot of low cards in the deck that was the design room, and while I didn't much care for Emily's or Alexander's I didn't think they would be in the bottom. I mean, they were trying to design a gown in a day, which sounds tough, then they would have to go back to Mood, and pretty much create an entire new dress in like 4 hours, that is generally only going to lead to bad results. So, since Sandaya probably wasn't going to produce a winning look, and since none of the designers that stayed really seemed like they were gonna go bottom three, and because Sandaya could potentially take out her anger at you later, and because you don't want to risk looking like an asshat on TV I can understand them just giving her the money. And truly, Kini looked like he barely even thought about it. And one of the things I've always sort of dug about PR is the fact that some of the best designers are willing to help someone else. A lot of them seem to have the attitude that they don't want to win because someone else lost, they want to win because they made something amazing.
  8. I wonder if he is one of those guys that likes to push boundaries. Dave Chappelle once called it being a "habitual line stepper" Like Frankie will maybe make advances towards a guy, and if the guy is into it then time for fun, but if the guy isn't into it he can just be like "ha ha, it was a joke, you homophobic jerk!" Although, if it had to happen to anyone, Caleb is a prime candidate considering his super creepy ick behavior towards Amber, when she neither asked for nor encouraged it.
  9. Listen, its none of my business, so if you want to give me a MYOB, I totally understand. But I hope you find a way to reconnect with humanity in real time. The computer is great, but people can be great too, and when you get older...or as I got older, I started to just like who I was. And as your world grows you find that there are people who will like you, are like you, or like what you like. Even though rejection still stings and hurts, it hurts a lot less and I can let things roll of my back a little better. I too like jobs where I can be alone, but thats mostly so I can indulge in frequent cat naps...just kidding! But yes, UTG was awful, everytime I think about it, it puts me back at square one with my quest to try to like Tim again. I also think its the fact that he refuses to apologize or accept any blame or responsibility for what happened.
  10. You're right, I'm sure most of the time that a kid doesn't want to call back right away they are with friends and could just use their friend's phone, but even on those occasions where they just are alone and don't want to talk to you, but want to talk to a friend, they can use the burner. It just seems like there are so many ways around the app. And I think, even if parents are paying for the cell phone, sometimes an older child will know that it may not be the best time to talk to their parent. Forcing a conversation on someone, even a child whose cell phone you are bankrolling, may not always be a great idea. I especially think it would be tough for kids who are in the middle of a nasty divorce (which I think does happen), one parent may either tell the kid not to pick up a call from the other parent (who will then shut down the phone), or one parent may call constantly to get "updates" on what the other parent is doing or to talk shit about the other parent, and the kid doesn't want to have to deal with it (and then the parent shuts down the phone).
  11. I sort of wonder if this isn't an "East Germany/West Germany" thing. I vaguely remember (and I could be wrong) that Fade was from East Germany. If thats the case he may not have been exposed to the TV programming that Heidi was. And honestly, Fade also doesn't strike me as the type who was watching shows about whatever a Lodenjacke is. I just thought it was funny that Fade...who was probably deep in thought about his own dress, was suddenly called on by Heidi to answer some question about the color green and relation to an old German show, I would have probably been confused too. Never. I find it laughable that you even suggest Heidi accept her age and dress accordingly. I remember, I think it was two seasons ago, and her penchant for too-tight, sparkly go-go dancer dresses was at an all time high, and someone (maybe at TWoP) said "I swear Seal hires someone to go into her closet and change around the size tags on all her clothing so she won't buy even tighter clothes" And while I find some of her outfits particularly ridiculous, there is a part of me that loves her for happily admitting to her age, and then wearing whatever she wants. It makes me feel a little better about getting older to know that I won't be forced into a Chico's at some point, or I won't need to wear elastic band pants (there is nothing wrong with Chico's or elastic band pants BTW, but I feel a lot of women get forced into Chico's) I think she might be a Patricia. They may want to see her collection because it will be different and interesting, but they won't give her the win. I agree with everyone who has said (hoped!) that Fade will start getting more recognition as they get rid of the weaker designers.
  12. I don't think the plan was to kill Christie. I think the plan, as far as I could tell, was to get her to drink the poison, masked in the fruit juice, and have a miscarriage that would look like an accident, or a natural miscarriage. Then Alak, who I think may have said something to Deidre about how, the only reason he was with Christie was because of the child, would drop Christie, and be with her. That seems to me, what her plan was at least. The miscarriage part might have worked too, if Christie didn't have the heightened sense of smell.
  13. I was thinking of almost this exact list. Sparkly go-go dancer dresses should have been the rallying cry. I think Emily might have won if it had only been more sparkly and brighter. You need only watch the show to know that that shade of green Korina chose (which I thought was just ugly) was never going to work for Heidi even if she had the design skill of....well the design skill of someone with much more design skill than Korina. See, I wonder if thats the case, or if we aren't seeing their best work, or even their average work because they are only getting a day for all of these challenges. No one wants to take a risk, because they won't have time to fix it, so we are only seeing the average work that people think they can finish in a day and be safe. I think many of them are talented, but I think almost all of them are hobbled by the ridiculous time limitation on the challenges. You used to hear designers complaining about the time limits on two day challenges, but now they cut the time in half! I don't know, maybe super talented designers don't want the publicity or exposure, when what the world will see is something that they have had almost no time to put together.
  14. I thought she did say that, I thought she said it at least twice, which made me even more sure that they were going to do a double elimination.
  15. Or signing up for RuPauls Drag Race and not knowing how to contour.
  16. to me then, that defeats the purpose. You want to hold a kid hostage to calling you back by shutting down their cell phone. They go and buy a secret burner phone. When they don't call you back right away, you shut down their phone, they use the burner phone to make calls until they call you back. Then you release the phone again for them to use. The kid wins either way, they are using the phone you're paying for 99% of the time, the 1% of the time when you shut down the phone they simply use the burner phone. While its not how I was raised, I think a lot of kids end up having spending money or access to a card of some sort. I especially think this is true of kids who are getting fancy smart phones with games and what not from their parents, and honestly, I think if a kid is out they should have some money on them. So basically the kid is going to just use your money to get around the cell phone app you've paid for.
  17. I thought they might be thinking that she somehow has ended up winning 2 challenges, and last time she won she was able to pick their fabrics, so I would want to stay on her good side. Because while I don't think she was looking to really screw anyone with the suits at the Red Robin challenge (I mean, what did Sean ever do to her?), I also think she is strategic, and she might be the type to remember if you refused to give her $100 when she needed it the next time she had an advantage. He did not use the Aldo wall strategically so yes, shame on him. But I think the dress gave them enough, if they had gotten to the shoes Nina might have had a heart attack.
  18. Hernan said it, and I'm wondering about that too, because some of the things she does just seem to differ from the personality of the happy go lucky, easy going, affable person that she has been portrayed as. I'll be interested to hear more at the reunion, or whenever it comes up via twitter. I'm not sure how it will make me feel about her, but his comment was interesting even though it might have been borne out of anger and jealousy. I think he might have taken a real risk in terms of color or silhouette if he had two days, and it would have probably been AMAZING. But, I think because he only has one day (and he needs those naps) he just went with something that he knew how to do and that would be pretty even if it wouldn't set the world on fire.
  19. This episode.... 1. Sean's dress - I loved the color and I loved the ombre effect on the fringe, so I'm perfectly happy that it won. 2. Kini - while I thought his dress was great, I think with all black it would be hard to see any detail, and I'm not sure anyone is going to photograph Heidi from the back. I also think they somewhat discount his efforts because he is so fast. I don't neccessarily think its fair, I just think they are more apt to give the prize to someone who was laboring hard, or in this case was in the bottom last week. 3. Time - I know there was a lot of misses on the runway, but I place that squarely at the feet of PR for making this another one day challenge. The one day challenge thing is totally ruining what was the best part of the show for me...the runway. Yes, some designers manage to make beautiful garments in a day, but so many more talented designers fall down because they don't have any time. I truly believe that it takes weeks to make a red carpet gown, and so even giving them two days would be asking them a lot, but giving them one day is ridiculous! And by only giving them one day, I think some of the more talented designers don't want to take a big risk, because they know that if it fails they don't have any time to really revise and do a good job. It used to be, that a designer could have a "make it work" moment, and they had some time to make it work. Now they almost literally have a make it work "moment" and its too hard to turn the Titanic around at that point. I mean, if they want to save on production costs, why not start asking them to do a 2 hour challenge, its just ridiculous. At some point they have to spend money so that the one thing people enjoy most about the show...the runway show isn't ruined. Its just annoying. I was hoping against hope that when Heidi came back in, she was going to announce that they had another day. Its not in anyone's best interest to take a risk on this show because if they can't execute perfectly in a short amount of time they have no time to save their dress. 4. Korina - I think she should have gone home, not only was the dress awful, but she got another non-vibrant green. As soon as I saw the fabric, I knew it would be a problem 5. Guest judges - everyone has an opinion, but I like it when guest judges aren't so harsh 6. Fade - loved his dress, just loved it, could see where maybe there would be an issue photographing it, but I do think he should have gotten the recognition of being in the top 3 7. Sandaya - I think she was smart to ask for all that money. Mitchell was full of shit....so Sandaya should go around hustling to get extra money, and then should simply hand over the money to you because you want it? Having said that, its interesting that a dress that cost under $250 to make won, while a dress that cost over $400 to make was only safe. 8. Amanda - I actually liked her dress from afar, it had a very Egyptian feel to it IMO.
  20. Porsha could accidentally walk off a cliff while trying to look at birds....you're right anything could happen
  21. This is why I love the Oscar Meyer commercial with the cranky grandfather. I love it when a commercial shows people acting in such a non-stereotypical way. Initially, I thought that app was a good idea, and then I realized that a lot of these new helicopter parents are super involved and don't have a life outside of their children, and probably use constant phone calls as a means of control and a way to fill their bored lives. If you have to control your kid with a cell phone app, whats to keep them from just getting a burner phone until they feel like calling you back?
  22. I don't think Phaedra has much shame. She is probably going to try to convince people, through the show, that she isn't involved in anything criminal. I think its bullshit for her to have a forum to try to proclaim her innocence with no counterpoint. She wants the chance to reach millions of people probably to try to undo the damage that she has done by being shady and underhanded. She probably also needs the money since she doesn't have a patsy for her criminal activity anymore. The sad thing is that so many people buy into her "faux belle" routine. I have no idea why Porsha is coming back because she is stupid....and boring...and has an undeservedly high opinion of herself. Glad that this is Nene's last season. I'll be laughing when she realizes that this show she whines so much about is the only thing she does that people care about and that she has no acting ability or talent. Happy to see the rest of the cast, but confused as to why they are adding more castmates.
  23. I know I'm wrong, but Russell Simmons giant fortune somehow softens his features. Yeah, I know I'm wrong :(
