  1. Although this was true, I was under the impression that it was Sera's shortcomings regarding budget and scheduling that was her undoing. IOW, if she was just fine at those important things, would the Js be able to get her out as showrunner?
  2. Which begs the question - why is he still the guy in charge? Is he not held to any standard? Can he do whatever he wants with absolutely no interference from The CW/WB? How does he get to keep his job as showrunner when so many others have lost their position and been replaced? I can't begin to describe how infuriating his tenure is!!!
  3. From your lips to "Someone who has control over Dabb"'s ears. I'm not certain there is a bottom to Dabb's stupidity. I think that some dream sequence ending is the one ending I couldn't tolerate. Which is why having Dabb in charge scares me. I remember one of the guys (Jensen?) saying that they have discussed and decided on a finale that they want and are in agreement on it. Let's hope they get to dictate that ending no matter what it is - that they have enough power to do that one thing.
  4. Yes, sadly. I wonder how much of Jensen's disappointment with the mess that is this current regime has to do with his character of Dean. I believe he still cares about "Dean" and doesn't want the character to become a joke. Is it possible that his decision was driven by what was being done to Dean as much as any other factor?
  5. Hey, I've got the perfect spin-off. Let's spin off Dabb to another show and get a real showrunner instead!
  6. I pray you're right. But I think we have too many "newbies" who will just want to say over and over how THEY feel about the show ending, and not ask questions that we would like to hear.
  7. And a little part of me wonders if he put up with it as long as possible because of the ramifications to all the people involved with the show, but finally the Dean/Michael fiasco was the last straw. Even Misha has been a "hang around" for some time now with basically nothing to do or any storyline of interest. So maybe they had "the talk" and this is the conclusion they came to - time to call it quits.
  8. My biggest concern is that since next season is the last for this show, Dabb is going to go full-test in trying to get something launched into a spin-off. Which of course would mean that instead of good, interesting stories to properly wrap up our main characters, we'll get garbage ideas/characters thrown against a wall to see if anything sticks. Chuck help us all!
  9. I've mentioned many times that I thought it was best to end the show before these substandard writers and showrunner could completely march it into a sewer. It is sad though, and I can only hope and pray that the Js get to influence the end story. Because I have ZERO faith in Dabb to give the characters (and faithful fans) the ending they deserve.
  10. I agree about the name/appearance. Perhaps his scene ended up on the cutting-room floor. 😞
  11. But here's the thing: I DON'T WANT to fast-forward through obnoxious characters' scenes; I DON'T WANT to busy myself with other things while watching; I DON'T WANT to quit the show, because I've watched it since the Pilot in 2005. What I WANT is a better showrunner, better writers, better scripts with better scenes for our lead characters even when they have fewer appearances due to more time off. I don't think this is asking for the moon. I think we, as fans, and especially as longtime fans, are due this. I don't believe there is a shortage of talented producers, writers, showrunners, etc. in the industry - whether in LA or Vancouver. This show, unfortunately, has let those talented people go and replaced them with piss-poor substitutes, IMO.
  12. I agree 1000%. It started in S12 - Dabb's first full year of showrunning and has continued without interruption since. I also think Dabb did a bait and switch regarding the character of Michael in order to get Jensen to renew his contract. And we all know how that story played out. I keep thinking of "Regarding Dean" and the last scene with Dean riding the bull to "Broomstick Cowboy" which really is a song about moving on, leaving things in the past. To me what was left in the past was the iconic character of BAMF Dean Winchester, the best damn hunter in the world, who is my favorite fictional character of all time. How disgusting that a single showrunner has the power to do that. And how sad that Jensen is allowing it to happen.
  13. When I saw that scene - Sam threatening to kill Cas lying on the floor, complete with the angel sword pounded by his head - I was enraged. To me, it was so much worse than the other stealing of Dean's special scenes/moments. That was one of the most dramatic scenes of the series - that Dean (with the MOC), would even consider violence/killing of his best friend. And what we witnessed in this week's episode was a cheap, disgusting imitation from a second (third?) rate writer.
  14. I'm hoping that "Stephen Amell" is Jensen informing them that he will not be renewing his contract. And that Jared is ready to bow out as well. In together - out together.
  15. This is why I'm hoping and praying that we get an announcement at "Upfronts" that next season is a shortened final season. And that somehow, someway, the boys have enough pull to get the ending that they both agreed should happen. No matter what it is that they talked about and decided on. This is THEIR SHOW, something that Dabb seems to have forgotten.
  16. AMEN!! Now if only TPTB would listen to this sage advice.
  17. And this is why the English language should not have a "rule of thumb". LOL
  18. You're watching a stupid vampire show and the people keep trying to shoot them. Of course, the vampires keep coming, so I yell to the screen "You have to cut their heads off". I don't think they heard me. LOL
  19. With this in mind, I believe they should ask for and get a producer's title. Then maybe they would have more input and not just have to "do what ever he wants". Also, I do believe Dabb has ADHD, one symptom of which is lack of focus. I think that (and other traits) describes him to a "T".
  20. Yes he was. That is the correct usage. Affect: to impress the mind or move the feelings; to act on or move.
  21. To me, a large part of the problem is that I don't think these current writers either know Dean's character or even care about it. This lack of knowledge/interest ends up with lines or actions that don't fit Dean's character as we know it. And don't get me started on the OTT slapstick humor, gross eating, or other related behavior that should be long gone from a 40 year old man. 😞
  22. As I mentioned in the BvJ thread, I think Yockey was told what to write by Dabb: "Write a MOTW that gets Dean's head smashed, and then get Michael out of Dean's head and into another vessel. Then have Jack attack Michael and take in his grace and become a powered-up Archangel/nephilim. You might even want him to declare himself a Winchester and then spread his beautiful wings. Got that? Good". FUCK YOU DABB.
  23. I don't know why most people assume that the Leader Sue storyline is over. (I don't read spoilers) I expect that SuperNougatJack will resurrect at least Maggie, and maybe the whole bunch so Leader Sue can continue in his role. I cannot express how pissed I am about this latest FUCK DEAN OVER. The first time he was supposed to be the "only one who can end it" - the story was given to Sam. Now, when he finally gets a storyline as Michael's vessel, it's a joke and the big damn hero moment is given to a supporting character - Nougat Jack who then spreads his wings to stick it even more to those who wanted a TRUE STORYLINE for Dean. FUCK YOU DABB!! Because I don't think this was Yockey's idea/script. I think he was told what to write. There will be nothing else for this Dean fan to watch for the rest of this season, and for all I know, for the rest of the show. If we don't get a new showrunner or a finale announcement for next season, I think I'm out. And I fucking wish Jensen was too!!!!!
  24. The site is back up. Love her episode reviews. I suspect she was updating the site. She's missing some intermediate reviews, so perhaps that. http://thesnowleopard.net/thehistoricalmeow/2018/10/17/supernatural-season-14/
