Probably what Jensen meant is "..., but that's what fit the story they wanted to tell". In other words, this group lays out the story they want to tell, in the timeline they want to tell it, regardless of how the characters would actually evolve in a natural - instead of a forced - story. Can't say it enough, Dabb and Singer are NOT storytellers. And IMO are ruining the Winchesters' story. Agree! Again, it just shows that the main focus of these showrunners (and I include Singer in this) is NOT the Winchesters' story. Same goes for all the focus on Lucifer and miscellaneous angels.

I agree. However as much as CW president Mark Pedowitz seems to enjoy the show, perhaps he is getting pressure to bring in the younger viewers in that "precious demographic". I personally think that this tonal change in the show is not going to bring in the younger viewers they want, and it's alienating some/many? of their core fans. So all in all, IMO, a wasted venture.

@Myrelle, rather than quoting your entire post, I just wanted to say how much I agree with everything you wrote. And in the process of reading it, I couldn't help feeling bitterness toward the showrunners and writers who have failed us, the fans, Dean, the character and Jensen, the actor. (I also believe that the writers have also hurt other characters/actors as well, but that's another post) I can't believe that the writers/showrunners don't know what a talented actor Jensen is, so it always boggles my mind why they give him crumbs to work with. And yes, they are slowly, surely ruining this show and how it pains me to witness it. Great post Myrelle!

Since John was so very secretive with Sam and Dean, we actually have no idea what he knew or didn't know about Mary, Mary's deal with the YED, or even what YED's plans were for Sam. While he was in the hospital, he even lied to Sam about knowing anything. So who knows what he found out while he was hunting. How John ever thought that having his hunting sons not have important information was a good idea, I'll never know.

Yes, I had forgotten about that little scene. But I'm not sure it shows us anything different about Mary as we look at it now because of the other time-traveling episodes. At the time, it was big news - news, I might add that Sam decided to keep to himself as well.

@AwesomO4000, I'm not sure what episode you are referring to where we "see Mary", but she was not in "All Hell, Pt 1...". In that episode, Sam was abducted by the YED; with other special kids in Cold Oak; Dean and Bobby searching for him, and we all know how it ended...:(

I doubt this very much. Jensen may say something to Jared privately, but I don't think Jensen would EVER publicly say something negative about Jared - especially if Jared wasn't there to defend himself.

Season 12 is the first season I didn't re-watch. I kept "Regarding Dean" and deleted the rest. How sad that it held no pull for me - the first time that has happened to me with the exception of a few episodes here and there.

I agree 1000%. However, we know it won't happen because the end of this show affects many, many people. But I am looking forward to the time when I get to see Jensen in a movie/series that stretches his Ackting chops and gives him the opportunities he deserves instead of having the "top" writers of his current show prefer to write for a different character. How rude! (and this goes for Jared and Misha as well).

Regarding the earlier discussion about Sam's intro, I think it is definitely her opinion of Jensen and the way in which she said it, she knew she shouldn't be showing bias as an interviewer. JMO

Of course you're correct. I was just focused on Dean being Dean again, so I accidentally reversed it. I, too, would love for Dean!Michael to go on for at least a few episodes because Jensen could sell the hell out of it and we know we'll get Dean back eventually. If you want a contest, go for it, but it should be placed in the Dean thread I think.

LOL! Are you inferring that it will only be a matter of on air minutes before Dean is out of Michael? In other words, probably won't even last a whole episode? I don't read spoilers, so it truly is a guess for me whether TPTB are actually going to let Dean!Michael last for awhile or not. I'm thinking "not", so my question was really sort of sarcastic. Sorry.

In the article "On Dean rescue duty are...", are we taking bets on who gets the closest time before Dean is out of Michael and back with his brother and Cas?
