Yes! ;)

By then they'll need more than a crossroads deal can manage. They'll need two paintings in the attic. LOL

I agree that Rick Springfield did a great job with the role. I just agree with many others that the character should either be a serious menace/threat without all the antics or be gone.

That sucks - I know. When Chicago area CW was on WGN, two finales were preempted with baseball games until the following Saturday. Well, hopefully, you'll be able to watch when you come home. Have a glass of wine, beer, whatever and enjoy!

Supernatural Bitterness & Unpopular Opinions: You All Suck
FlickChick replied to mstaken's topic in Supernatural
No kidding - look at that excellent editing! I'm lucky in that I can still watch the early seasons (or the best of the later ones) and still appreciate what a great show it is - current problems notwithstanding. My problem lies with watching the current season with back-to-back poorly written, edited, or presented episodes each week and a great lack of the boys I came to watch. Too bad... -
I think a lot of us think that but unfortunately, we know that these hack writers put whatever they want in a script - to hell with canon or common sense or characteristics. It is almost as if we've come to expect it to happen. And isn't that a crying shame?

I was just thinking about this the other day when I watched the first two episodes of S12. They had so much potential to develop a wonderful character that we've only had glimpses/memories of. Dean and Sam were so thrilled to have her back! Her presence in their lives offered so much opportunity. And then the writers had their turn... WTF were they thinking???
-
The way they wrote EVERYONE in this episode was fucking stupid. I am officially embarrassed to admit to anyone that I watch this show in its current stupidity. All I can do is pray that at the Up-Fronts, they announce a last shortened season to wind up our boys' story.

Unfortunately, many of the last seasons started with promise and then... *sigh*

That is true, but the ret-conning is coming in droves under Dabb's reign. I, for one, am tired of it - almost as tired as I am of Lucifer in general and Sam's "connection" to him. It's gone on for years, literally. The "real face of Lucifer" thing is just the latest installment. ENOUGH ALREADY, IMO.

LOL!! I almost spit out my water all over the computer when I read this.

As far as I'm concerned, a person needed three glasses of wine to get through the Richard Speight Jr show. I only have two things to add. Richard Speight - director - had absolutely no business directing Richard Speight - actor. It was an embarrassing mess as far as I'm concerned. And Meredith Glynn should watch the series before she writes another episode. What a waste of forty-five minutes of my life.

Now, the following is only my opinion and my interpretation. When people talk about Dean lying to Sam while he was being possessed by the angel, I keep seeing the manipulation of that angel in keeping the truth from Dean. Remember that Cas vouched for "Ezekiel" as being a good, trustworthy angel - no one, especially Dean, knew that Gadreel had lied to him about who he really was. In their first conversation when leaving the hospital, Dean said that he didn't want to keep the truth from Sam and "Zeke" immediately said that if Sam didn't agree with him healing him from the inside, and cast him out, that Sam would die. "Zeke" then offered to wipe away memories of the hospital from Sam. As the episodes continue, every time Dean questions the length of time it's taking to make Sam better, "Zeke" tells him it's just a little while longer. He also doesn't want anything to do with other angels because he knows that they would not recognize him as "Zeke". Gadreel constantly manipulates Dean every time Dean wants to let Sam know what's going on. On one occasion, as Dean starts to say something to Sam, "Zeke" immediately emerges and warns Dean against saying anything. As soon as Cas calls with the information that Ezekiel died in the fall, Dean is panicked and asks Kevin to find a spell so that he can speak to Sam without Gadreel knowing. Of course, it is all too late and the consequences are dire when Gadreel kills Kevin. Dean made a decision that he would save Sam in a way that he knew Sam wouldn't like. But he also remembered that Sam stopped the trials because he chose to live over dying. Talk about a no-win situation for Dean or Sam. Dean said that he would "do it again", because he would never allow Sam to die if he could do something to prevent it. That's who Dean is. Period. Should he "mature" past that? Probably, but then we wouldn't have a show, because Sam would be dead. And, as it turns out, Sam feels pretty much the same way. But the thing to remember is that the writers create these impossible situations, and the characters suffer the consequences of viewers who don't like what they did/said/became, etc. And although I'm quoting Awesom, this is in no way critical of your interpretation, because we are all entitled to our individual views.

@catrox14, thanks so much for the video. Loved to see/hear Jensen in his directorial debut.

IIRC, she mentioned that her husband had died. However, she clearly was interested in sex, since she poured a few drinks for both of them and then proceeded to seduce him. Not the other way around this time. LOL

And she still looks mighty fine!

This is why I was thrilled when the CW in the Chicago area switched away from WGN Chicago to a channel out of Gary Indiana. Every spring we would be preempted for either Cubs or Sox games; in the fall, Bulls games. NO MORE!!! Fortunately, Gary, IN doesn't carry those. LOL ETA: So sorry though for you. :(

Yeah, I recognized her immediately - from her voice which is very distinctive with its smoky/gravelly tone.
-
I still don't believe she could see angels, but who knows. More importantly, we have LOLcanon at an astounding rate these days. So it probably doesn't matter what happened before.

TNT will begin showing Season 12 episodes on Friday, April 27th. This will be the first showing of S12.

When he saw Sam in "I'm No Angel" - he wasn't - Cas was human and couldn't recognize any angels period. He didn't see Gadreel in Holy Terror, he merely told Dean over the phone that Ezekiel had been killed in the fall, so therefore he could not be the angel that Dean mentioned "healing Sam". That's when Dean asked Kevin to find the spell to let the person hear him, but not the angel. Unfortunately, it was too late when Gadreel/Sam overheard the conversation.
