Seeing as how I have almost every ticket stub from every game and every play (and a lot of concerts) that I've ever attended, it was really hard for me at first to not have them anymore. However, I've come to the realization that I don't need them, so I'm good with digital. My only quibble is that it's sorta a pain in the ass to share when there are other people with you that need the ticket for some reason. Fortunately, my Sunday game party is almost always the same and we know where we're sitting. And in the case of a ticket I do want to save (I still do this for plays because I like to attach them to my Playbills), I'll take a screenshot and print it. Should I ever need a World Series ticket (if only...), I'd go the screenshot route.

It is rather amazing. My first Broadway show was Chicago with the original cast (my second was The Wiz and third was A Chorus Line - it was a great trip!) and front row mezz tickets were $15.50. I spent my 20s buying standing room and half-price tickets because even $15.50 was a lot. But that was a different world. I'm just glad there are people out there now making the effort to find ways to afford to go. It's so worth it and I don't know what my life would be like without theatre!

I'll be in NY in August. There are orchestra seats on the center aisle towards the back for Sweeney available for $213 the second weekend through regular channels (meaning Ticketmaster). Love Alex Newell. I think Bonnie Milligan is wonderful, and parts of the show sound quite affecting, but I'm not sure yet if I'm interested. We'll see how the schedule plays out. Have to save an evening to have dinner at Keens. 😄

It closes Sept 2 (or sometime near that date). And I'm probably the only one who thinks this, but Lea was awful. Bought my tickets to Some Like it Hot. Probably going to see Sweeney and maybe Shucked. And maybe either Kimberly Akimbo or Goodnight Oscar. We'll see.

The movie is in my top 5 favorite films of all time. I will go into this looking for a totally different experience. I was reading on BroadwayWorld that the people onstage may be having trouble hearing the music which is why the dancing looks a bit off. I choose to believe that so I don't have to think badly of the dancers.

Putting Some Like It Hot on the list. It's, as we used to say in our high school theater nerd days, a "sassy, brassy musical humdinger!"

Growing up, they called me the f-word. Now I'm a fa**ot with a Tony!

This confirms that I don't want to see NY, NY. Not one bit.

I'm having trouble deciding what to see on our August trip. I'm waiting till after the show tonight to see what might close before then.

There was an intro, but I wasn't really paying attention since I was just getting settled in.

Not home hospice, but my MIL and my sister were both well taken care of in hospice facilities. I can't recommend them strongly enough. Good people. We found the facility for my MIL through the county. My sister worked for the hospital, so that was an easy choice. And I say easy because thankfully, we didn't have to decide - they were there to help and take care of her. My heart is with you.

Do they have local clubs where you live? I joined the local Dem Club here and since it wasn't directly associated with a candidate, it was much more social. We hosted events for the local candidates and had meetings to discuss issues and more stuff like that. No phone banking or door knocking, unless you wanted to. There are also "Young Dem" clubs around here, if you're young. I'm not, but they did show up at a bunch of our events. Good luck.

Thanks for posting that. I actually saw that show...and totally forgot that I did.

I'm enjoying the interviews with the Broadway folks that are happening, I'm guessing to promote the upcoming Tonys this weekend. I only work from home 2 days a week, but I love the few I've seen recently, including today with Victoria Clark. I think Willie really likes doing them... and then Mika shows up. Sigh...she tries. I did laugh when Victoria told Mika how much she appreciated 50over50 and KYV. Ha!

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

Thank you for researching this so that I don't have Paycom in my search history! Now I'm really annoyed with the company for making this service sound like something so unusual. It's really just what most employees do before they hand (and by "hand", I don't necessarily mean using your actual hands) their hours/expenses/regular payroll stuff over to the payroll department. Like a normal company. I really hate Paycom. And on a completely different note, I wonder what the "big story" the little Jardiance pill has to tell. Okay, I don't really wonder - I actually don't want to know. -
Are you talking about paying your Amazon branded credit card? Because it's probably with Synchrony Bank, so you can set up an online login there and they'll email your statement and you can pay through that website. Many privately branded credit cards are issued through these smaller banks. I have a jjill card that's issued through Comenity Bank. Part of my job is paying other people bills and several of them are issued through Synchrony or Comenity. It should be pretty straightforward to set up online payments there. You shouldn't have to google Amazon each time you need to pay that bill. Good luck.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

Farming it out to a payroll service is great. This commercial is touting a service where the employee does his/her/their own payroll. Which, to my mind, it nuts. Just one more thing for the employee to do that I'm sure they're not compensated for. If I'm misinterpreting how this works, I'm sorry for the rant, but the commercial makes it seem like the employer can't manage to pay their own employees correctly, so they do it themselves. No thanks. -

Paycom is going to cause my head to explode. "Why would you want to do your own payroll?" "Maybe because I want to be paid correctly?" THAT'S WHAT YOUR COMPANY PAYROLL DEPARTMENT DOES - PAY YOU CORRECTLY! Sorry for yelling, but seriously, if your company can't hire competent payroll people, I think your company is in trouble and I'd try to find another job, instead of forcing you to do your job, AND their job. It's like self check-out - I don't work for your store. Hire someone to do the job, or give me the employee discount. Rant over. -

My car does turn on the lights when I turn on the wipers, and my car is 10 years old. I have to hope that any car newer than that also has that built it. -
It's a beautiful day at the ballpark! Especially since it looks like they're not wearing those uniforms today. At least not the black pants, which look like pjs. Hopefully the game will be better
-
The City Connect uniforms are awful and the Os deserved to lose tonight just for wearing them. So there! I hope this isn't a weekend thing because I don't want to have to look at them in person on Sunday.
-
How bout them Os, hon... (I know - it's only May, but I'm enjoying it while I can)

The photo captions are dryly hilarious, with my favorite being "Dante and Harry look concerned in a bar." Heh.
