YES! I FF through all the yakety-yak bits and was wondering if they rolled back on that one. I guess because her answer included “Manson” they allowed it. I ran the category about rock star wives. I’m not proud of that.

Me too, but then I thought maybe they weren’t sure WHICH Bill and Ted movie it was from.

Ah, thank you! The champ probably should’ve stolen one of the “What is...” GEICO commercial answers to be timely. At least I would’ve gotten the joke!
-
I was really perplexed by the champ’s FJ answer. I get surrendering because you don’t have a decent guess, but why, of all things, would he put down ALEVE?

I almost feel like Joaquin could've said just the lyric quote from his brother and had as much or more of an impact. -

The women of SNL are amazingly talented but when they get on these award shows they come across as insufferably full of themselves. -
I guess this episode was filmed before Peter Fonda died.
-
I think it was the other way around (but could be remembering wrong), but I agree that neither is more right than the other! That was an odd judgment call.
-
I couldn’t tell if the women were underwhelmed by the Cleveland announcement or just had no idea where that was. I wouldn’t rule that out for some of these women. Peter is such a bad actor. Everything is such an exaggerated “Whaaaaa...?” during the drama. They need to powder him up better, too. He’s always so shiny.

The Annual Grammy Awards - General Discussion

The Tyler performance reminded me of the year some awards show had a performance with an army of Slim Shadys who also entered through the audience aisles. -
Ha ha - sorry! I had no context and that’s a common thing people say when they mean season.
-
Well, it was the ONLY episode of the year, so... (I know you meant of the season - LOL)

Those were some Ricky-Gervais-Golden-Globes-Monologue level groans and gasps during the cold open. I approve!

I guessed Margaret Atwood for FJ, which is barely better than the person who guessed a dead writer. I knew she was Canadian but figured she could be living anywhere now.

I agree. But his hair was kind of his thing back in the day and I guess he doesn’t want to let it go. I tried to imagine him with a shorter haircut and it just seems odd! -

I hear you, but to be fair, he’s 72 years old and battled a bunch of health issues recently. I’m just happy to see him out there doing stuff! -
The Daniel Radcliffe and David Bowie episodes always top my list. And the finale Xmas special might be the best series ending program ever. I was so sad when no one knew the answer to that question.
-
Victoria needs to time travel back to the 70’s and design clothes for David Bowie.

My guess would be no. Smog is specific to pollutants being involved while fog is weather related. But I've seen the judges OK plenty of things that I didn't agree with, so what do I know? LOL

Even without the GOAT matches comparisons, today was a truly lousy game. I almost had to stop watching because I was starting to get secondhand anxiety attacks just watching the girl on the right.

I don't really understand the judging at the end. Their big error wasn't caused by something out of their control. Someone on the team made a huge mistake that derailed everything. Wouldn't that have knocked them down enough points to put them lower in the rankings, no matter how good the rest of the routine was? I don't understand the second chance, either. For instance, in gymnastics (which is the closest comparison I can make), if an athlete stumbles or falls off equipment, they don't say "Just start where you left off - we're going to ignore the mistake." Unless maybe the second place team made a lot of bad errors we didn't see? Lexi looks like she's on her way to a role on "Euphoria". Disappointing to see the direction she seems to be headed. I know they highlighted that keeping up grades was essential to being on the team but I couldn't figure out when those kids would have time to seriously study, work on papers, etc. I wonder if they got a "pass" in some classes because teachers don't want to be the ones weakening the cheer team, which seems to be the pride of the school.

Right?! That was crazy! I’m decent at wordplay but I was barely registering the clue and they were already spitting out the answers.

Wow, that screaming girl sounded just like that video of the screaming goat.
