  1. I loved seeing Killua's brother playing with a Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask considering how Togashi's wife is the author of Sailor Moon. Also apparently Pariston Hill (Rat) is an anagram for Paris Hilton.
  2. Just saw an ad on Adult Swim. They're going to re-show the first season before they show the second. I guess it'll no longer be on TBS.
  3. Well the Hunter exam only takes place once a year and between the last two exams only 8 people in total passed and one of those is already dead so the number seems pretty accurate (especially given the number of hunters who died during the Chimera Ant invasion).

    X-Men Franchise

I will defend that Storm and Black Panther getting married wasn't out of nowhere despite the story line being poorly done. They've actually been a couple before. In Priest's run they got together though it didn't last very long and Priest actually referenced an X-Men comic from the 80's (I believe written by Claremont) showing Storm and T'Challa knowing each other as kids.
  5. Assassination Classroom would be great. Also Mob Psycho 100's second season just finished up so hopefully we'll get the dub sooner rather than later. Maybe make it a One block with it and OPM.
  6. I stopped watching this live since I've already recently seen season 3. It's a really good season but I don't really have to time to re-watch it.
  7. Well Kevin Tsujihara is out due to sexual misconduct. It's noted that he was the main voice behind keeping Zack Snyder as director for Justice League. No idea how that'll affect the DC movies going forward but since DC is part of the general WB films (as opposed to Marvel which has a separate MCU division) it could be significant, especially if the new CEO has their own take on what DC movies should be.
  8. The one thing I'm really loving about this arc is actually seeing the Androids together again. It's like the follow up to Future Trunks and getting to see him interact with the older characters. While the rest of the story may be a mess I have been enjoying these follow ups.
  9. Also Pouf gave The King a lot less of himself than Youpi did plus Pouf had unaffected segments (that he eventually merged with). I honestly like this ending. The most powerful person on the planet lost that fight so how else were they going to beat him. Meruem is also way too powerful to survive beyond this arc. I like how in the end it was a fairly inexpensive bomb that took them out. It's a nice showing that Nen users aren't the invincible compared to normal humans.
  10. This was a while ago but Esme Bianco (Ros, aka the sexpositioner) is voicing Eclipsa in Star vs the Force of Evil on Disney XD. I bring it up since that show is starting back up on March 10 for its final season.
  11. No there's been others. "Blood Crieth Unto Heaven" also skipped the opening as did Tearjerker, 100 A.D., Flirting with Disaster, Hot Water, Hurricane!, For Black Eyes Only, Lost in Space, Minstrel Krampus, The Two Hundred, Ninety North Zero West, The Long Bomb, West to Mexico, Santa Scmanta, Dead by Dinner Party, and A Pinata Named Desired apparently had a truncated opening. X-Men Franchise

I'm sad that they're going with "Oh Noes Jean Grey's powers are out of control" which is incredibly problematic (not to mention Prof X mentally assaulting her). I feel the best way to do the Phoenix saga is to keep it as Jean Grey is possessed by an alien entity (who's more force of nature than anything else) and then runs into problems when the entity get seduced by the dark side of human nature. The you can have the ending with Jean fighting for control and getting it long enough for the X-Men to kill her. Then at least Jean goes out as a hero (and the only reason the X-Men were able to save the day). You can bring her back at the end (as a gift from the Phoenix entity) or not I guess although I'd prefer the former.
  13. Given Joseph's mental state, I'm not surprised they're not using Hermit Purple. I guess that's what happens when you perv on a woman who turns out to be your mom, cursed by god.
  14. I'm starting to sour on this show a bit. I loved French Stewart as the Hannibal Lechter of the show but Fuckface is definitely getting old really fast. He is not an interesting character and seems like a very low threat to these training assassins. I just want to see more of Hogwarts for Murderers and Marcus trying to survive/thrive there.
  15. Apparently. It's mentioned at the top of the thread. Owen Wilson seems like such a weird choice. Playing such a sad sack character is not really his forte, especially one who is supposed to be unlikable. Luke Wilson may have been able to pull it off but Steve Buscemi excels in this type of role. Hard to believe he wasn't the first choice.
  16. I'm really loving this show, I can't imagine Owen Wilson in Buscemi's place (Luke Wilson maybe) and the rest of the cast is great. I'm especially happy to see Karan Soni starting to get some nice roles. Geraldine Viswanathan is pretty great as well and so is Daniel Radcliffe. I'm really looking forward to all of them interacting in the upcoming episodes. As for the god vs God thing (it was in the preview for upcoming episodes),
  17. This'll be the first movie I'll have seen in theaters since Infinity War (my son was born right after). I'm really looking forward to this. When we get a sequel I'd love to see Monica Rambeau and/or Kamala Khan.
  18. From what I'm reading, for the Marvel Netflix shows Disney was taking a 60% cut (whereas other licensed shows take a 30% cut). When Netflix started out they just needed content that was a big draw. Now not so much. It's a pretty interesting twitter thread about the whole thing (https://twitter.com/ballmatthew/status/1069649213498277889) in the end all it came down to was money or the lack thereof.
  19. Thanks, the dialog in this show is sometimes a little tough to hear.
  20. Marcus' back story always makes me think of Nearl from Frisky Dingo
  21. Sad to see the Poison Professor go but I'm glad the show is at least addressing the issue I had with the pilot, i.e. the hypocritical nature of the school. I assume it got this way because schools need to pay their bills too but its nice that the show is willing to not just gloss it over.
  22. It was which is pretty cool. I'm still really liking this series. I was really surprised that Billy ended up being into girls as it seemed like he was gay in the pilot. Maybe he's bi or pan sexual though. I was somewhat implied that the Poison Professor might be gay given his talk about his friends dying of AIDS.
  23. I'm not sure Jotaro can do that since his stand can't fixed anything that's permanently destroyed (I think it came up in relation to The Hand's ability). I'm not sure how I feel about the episode. Overall it was good but I don't like pairing off Yukako and Koichi especially this quickly given what she did to him earlier. But the whole crew is quick to befriend former enemies so it is fitting with the story.
  24. The nuke made sense as earlier in the show Colt mentions that he thinks Netero would not be able to take on the King (at best he's as strong as the Lieutenants) and there's the conversation when Netero took on the job talking about how they'll tarnish the name of the Hunter Association if they fail. Plus Netero is considered one of the strongest Nen users in the world and the King is considered a huge threat to the world. So if Netero fails there's probably no one else to stop the King (who seemingly was going to destroy all of humanity). Netero is a smart guy, I'd have been more surprised that based on all of this he wouldn't have some fail safe in case he failed. This week the Meruem is dead? Plus Gon is about to snap. I mean he threaten to kill a seemingly powerless little kid just to keep Pito in line and I think he'd have killed her too. It seems hard to imagine Gon doing something like that considering his personality earlier in the series. Plus, once he finds out Kite is dead I think he's finally going to snap. ETA: So I looked up the info for this arc and we apparently have 9 episodes left (next/the final arc is 12 episodes total).
  25. I liked it overall. I definitely has some kinks to work out but the cast is pretty good so that goes a long way with me. I do hope they flesh out the characters more as its okay for them to be more one note (ie stereotypical) in a pilot but they need to do something more for future episodes. As is they kind of did that with Willie being a pacifist so I have hope that they'll continue making the characters unique.
