You're almost certainly right (Gallagher died in Nov of last year). It's funny though because the beginning of the story someone mentions Gallagher being dead and it come full circle at the end.

I think that was the point. Vat of Acid Rick was pretty close to Rick at his worst. So seeing similar story beats but with a supportive Rick is designed to show how Rick has changed. I loved how Morty not buying into this whole Knights of the Sun ended up spiraling out into crazy GoT territory. Also loved the musical references when the Knights were in the heroin den (Mr Browstone is a great GnR song that imo doesn't get enough air play). Personally, I like this new side to Rick. Seeing Rick finally admit to himself that he actually cares about the family is nice. I also like how Rick can still be an a-hole but you can see him attempting to become a better person. It makes him feel like a more 3D character. We've seen growth from Beth, Morty and even Jerry. I'm hoping the show does more with Summer next season.

Also showing how that would affect your loved ones. I wasn't a fan of the meta episode but this one was one of my favorites. It adds a lot of layers to Rick's personality.

I think we've seen that before. And yes, I always find it funny. The last bunch of episodes have been pretty good. I love the call back to the alligator just looking like a Julius. Also it's usually a mark of a good episode when Stan and Hayley team up. Thinking back, a lot of my favorite episodes have them working together.

I find it funny how both Amphibia and Owl House ended their second season with main characters on a one way trip back to Earth. Man that was a big episode. King saving the day was both amazing and tragic. Loved seeing the other coven heads finally realizing they screwed themselves over with the day of unity. Not at all surprised to see Phillip breaking his promise to the Collector. Loved how his plan was to essentially nope out to Earth, not giving the Collector time to even try some payback. Looked like some of Phillip dripped onto Hunter so it'll be fun to see what little Phillip thinks of modern Earth. I have to imagine that Luz was willing to stay behind because she knew her friends would have a safe place with her mom. For next "season" I hope we get to see Gus enjoying his time in the human realm, especially seeing giraffes. I also hope Luz and her mom actually talk things out. Like they have a good relationship but sending Luz to that summer camp really hurt. Sad that next "season" is only 3 specials but they supposedly being in October so not a long wait.

Same. I have to rewatch that episode where they go back to where Eda found King. Thankfully it's available on D+. I guess only some grow to full titan size since all of the skulls were closer to human proportion. Sadly it sounds like King is the last titan. I feel bad for him especially after he though he found a family only for them to want him dead. Also more info on The Collector. So they captured/turn the Owl Beast into a scroll, had a group killing titans and somehow wound up getting trapped under one.

It's possible that Belos/Phillip just doesn't consider the other guy family due to the "betrayal" of him getting with a witch.

That was a fun episode. If you look at Amity's pic you can see Eda and Rain in the background and Amity's mom and I believe Darius in the foreground. I was neat to see the Warden back and I like that we got more of Amity's dad and siblings. I guess Amity is the only one who took after their dad by going abomination track. I like what they did with Luz as well, it was nice to see a bit of her being homesick. It was also nice seeing Vee with Luz's mom.

I finally got around to watching most of this season. I loved the joint training arc. That's actually what I want to see more of in the series. The Endeavor arc was also interesting. Having Endeavor see how much of a terrible person he's been and actually trying to change his ways makes for an interesting story. Also love Hawks and Zeno Robinson has done a great job with him. That said, I dropped the series. I honestly do not care for the villians in this series, especially Shigaraki. I find villains to be interesting when they actually have sympathetic motives. Shigaraki is not. He's just evil so I couldn't care less about how sad his backstory is. Funny enough Re-Destro actually would have made an interesting foil for the heroes. I looked ahead and it looked like the series is going a direction I'm just not interested in so I'm out.

Belos not having human ears threw me too. Also not sure what the deal is with him donating his diary to the library and then only emerging as Belos around 50 years ago. This was really a fulcrum episode. We get a possible origin for Belos, more of Philip plus it looks like Phillip was traveling with another human based on the echo mouse's projection. We also get Eda's Dad (Dell) and a nice Lilith episode. I wonder if the other human is connected to the Clawthorne family. We learned earlier that people without magic, like Hunter, can use palismans for magic. It's possible that the other human went in that direction instead of using glyphs and that's why the Clawthornes are known for making palismans. Also may explain why the door was found on the Clawthorne property.

Honestly, the original movie is only 83 mins. I expect them to beef up the dwarfs roles since they'll want to increase the runtime anyhow (I'll be disappointed if they don't). Really the story has two rough areas, Snow White between her lack of agency and her just straight up becoming their housekeeper and the dwarfs being so one note. I'd like to see some mention of why the dwarfs are out there. Maybe it was persecution and in which case they relate to Snow and take her in. I'd love to see Snow wanting to repay the favor so they teach her cooking (she is a princess after all, the most useful skill she'd learn would be embroidery) which could be a lovely scene(s) and can add more character to the dwarfs. She'd be too tall to work the mines afterall, but I wouldn't mind seeing her attempt. I saw someone give a list of actors for the roles and there are a number of famous little people who could do a great job with the roles; such as Warwick Davis as Doc and Dinklage as Grumpy.

I finally got a chance to watch this and while it wasn't bad, it was easily one of the lower tier MCU movies. Pugh was good and Harbor stole the show (SJ was good enough but not one the same level) and I liked the smuggler too. Rachel Weisz was good but very underutilized. Really wish we could have seen more of her. I actually would love to see more of all of them. One of my main issues was the action scenes. Black Widow takes way too much damage and walks away unscathed for someone who is seemingly non-powered. The explosions, especially at the prison, looked really bad. Taskmaster was okay. I guessed at her identity once they mentioned the little girl but that's okay since her identity wasn't really much of a plot point. I wish we would have seen more of Taskmaster doing her thing though. We really don't get much of her move copying and her being mute meant we didn't get any of the "I predicted that" type stuff. Her dad was okay at what he was supposed to be storywise. He's just some dude running the Red Room who saw others (including his daughter) as tools and really anything else would have been kind of disappointing. The story as presented was not great though. It frequently felt like we were missing something. Like why did Nat fight Yelena at the safehouse or the ending with Nat seemingly about to get captured and then flash forward a little bit and now she's not. Also, there's a ton of Widows going after them and they take a break for food and talk openly around a bunch of civilians (and knowing the Widows would kill all those kids nearby if necessary). Nat's grave bothered me too. Like it seemed visited but in the middle of nowhere with no real reason given for it's placement. Hawkeye's farm would have made sense or even Stark's cabin as a grave site for the three Avengers who were lost. If they wanted somewhere more anonymous, it might have worked better if she was in like Arlington or some other site for SHIELD operatives. Instead it kind of looked like some old abandoned place. Like I said, it wasn't a bad movie but I'd place it below Dr Strange which had some issues but made up for it with a great ending and fun visuals but probably above Thor 2 even though its Thor-Loki moments were great. Part of the problem is that it came out too late. At the latest I would have had it leading into Endgame (like Captain Marvel did). Having it pre-Endgame (post IW) would have allowed for a bit more fleshing out of Nat right before we see her running the Avengers post blip and perhaps have allowed some references to what she's lost personally. I just kind of also felt something missing emotionally. Like we know Nat dies but this is her first solo movie (and last) and didn't really work as any sort of swan song or anything. I initially though it might have been due to watching it at home (and a took a few breaks) but I watched Shang Chi the same way and loved it. I don't know, it just felt off to me. That said, I did love the remaining characters and look forward to seeing Yelena in Hawkeye and hopefully more (same with Red Guardian and Melina).

That's probably what I would have chosen as well, it's such a beautiful song and encapsulates a lot of the message of the movie. They also played it over the end credits. I'm generally not a fan of musicals but this movie was amazing. Surprisingly, I loved how the songs fit into the movie as a whole (plus they were great). Abuela was such an interesting character. A lot of who she became was based out of that tragic beginning. Like it's not just that the magical flame created the encanto and gave her family gifts but that the magic itself was tied into the death of her husband trying to protect the refugees. Plus only her family were actually gifted with powers. She definitely had survivor's remorse and I could see how she took the magic coming from her husband's sacrifice to mean that it was to be used to help the rest of the refugees no matter what. I'm having a little difficulty getting all my thoughts coherent for the movie but I really loved it.

The trailer was interesting but I kind of wish the other pets were of the other superheroes. Even going with the same plot, having Ace the Bathound for Krypto to bounce off of would have been nice and add a bit of humor on the difference of Batman and Superman's method of training.

Glad to see this getting good reviews. I'll probably wait for the sequel to come out but I hope it does well so we can eventually get to the adventure of Duncan Idaho. Slightly off topic but I like to imagine that Herbert got the idea of walking without rhythm from trying to leave his son's room after he fell asleep. I know a lot of times the only way I can get out is by doing something similar.

So we were trying to find something for my 3 year old to watch and my wife flipped to The Thundermans and apparently Harvey Guillen was in the episode (I looked it up and he was in like 6 of them). I had to double check since he looked so young there (it was a 2014 episode).

Thanks for the heads up. I was interested based on the visuals and the actors involved but I'm not going to waste my time (considering I have such little free time as it is) on something subpar.

I did. The whole movie was a nice nod towards Ostrander's run. Sad that Kim Yale is no longer with us though. As a fan of Ostrander's SS run I'm not a particular fan of the movie's depiction of Waller (I don't remember her being quite this ruthless) but if we get another one, I hope they can flesh her out more (or even in the Peacemaker series if she show up there). That said, Viola Davis is spot on casting and I can easy see her intimidating Batman like in the comics.

My thought on Waller letting Starro take over Corto Maltese was that she figured some group like the Justice League would eventually take it on and win before it expanded its influence too far. I never saw the previous movie so I kind of took this one as its own adaptation of the comics (I have read and do own the original comic run). So my understanding of the purpose of the squad wasn't to take on big powerful threats (a group like this to take on Superman is pretty stupid) but instead to be a free and disposable black ops squad dealing with things the US wants dealt with but without the US actually getting involved.

Well Harley is an unpowered wild card. She's not much different than Blackguard or Savant as far as Waller is concerned. At least Bloodsport and Peacemaker had military training and both were relatively easily controllable. As for Flag, I wouldn't be surprised that he expressed similar feelings about other shady missions so Waller probably figured it might be a good idea to get rid of him. Plus you needed someone to lead that team and he was probably the best choice. As for the movie, I really enjoyed it. Rat-catcher and Polka Dot Man were really well done. A nice amount of pathos and very well acted. Harley Quinn was great as well. They really managed to capture the character and her being kind of crazy but still a competent threat.

God I loved how even in the end Luz had to psych herself up to ask Amity out. The facial expressions were so on point. I also love how while we see things from Luz's point of view, Amity's facial expressions throughout really give a good picture of her as well.
