  1. I don't trust any of the Marvel actors anymore. They lie. Except for Ruffalo and Tom Holland who can't stop accidentally giving everything away.
  2. I thought 1666 was great. I was positive that one of Team Kill Nick was going to die and was so pleasantly surprised when they all lived. Honestly, the 1666 part was just so sad to me. Especially knowing that actually happened to girls and women. And then the 1994 part stressed me the fuck out. I was kinda hoping they would turn all the killers on Nick, but I was fine with how it played out. I actually felt sorry for the killers, or at least the original people not the ooozing goo manifestations. They were all just normal folks this asshole family randomly picked on a whim to become murderers. I was a Christopher Pike kid so all of Fear Street is new to me. I'm sure I read some R.L. Stine, but I can't remember anything specific, but I hope Netflix continues with these types of adaptations. I'm actually glad it was released each week as it was on streaming because however long the wait in between theatrical releases would have been tough, and I think it might have lost some momentum.
  3. I was really hoping for Lokigator and Mobius on jet skis, but now I have a dream for Season 2. I was pleased. I don't watch anything Marvel for standalone stories anymore. Everything is intertwined with previous and future storylines, and while I recognize that's frustrating for those wanting a contained story, I'm thrilled that this is all one giant story that started in 2008 (give or take if they include OG Blade or something else I'm forgetting) that's still ongoing. I've been following Jonathan Majors career for a few years and thought he was great. A little unhinged, a little bored, a little mischievous. Since he's the nice Kang (or whatever name he was going by) it'll be interesting to see if the how the next variant will act. Probably not so playful. Poor Loki. He lost everything. I wonder when S2 will be set since we have several movies in between.
  4. I thought it was forceps but looking at pictures of forceps, that's not right. Whatever it was, I had the same reaction.
  5. The sheriff showed up at old Ziggy's house near the end of the first movie and slipped that note into the house, I think. Which makes him more of an asshole for dismissing the kids who came to him and basically telling them they were nuts/lying.
  6. Anything is possible with Marvel, and if I were ScarJo, I'd definitely keep that door open, but it seems like the original Avengers are being phased out and TPTB are setting up the next generation of Avengers.
  7. Don't look to me for an unbiased review. Marvel takes all my $$$, and I haven't been in a theater in 14 months, so this was going to have to be truly awful for me to not like it. It was a nice sendoff for SJ, and FP is a worthy successor. I'm glad Natasha was able to find some peace with her past and her first family in those missing years when she was on the run. I thought I had been spoiled for Taskmaster but those spoilers were full of lies so that was a nice surprise. Overall, probably mid-tier for me, but there was something special about all those ass kicking ladies and their appropriate tactical clothing. I get what they were going for in IM2 with the sexed up Widow, but I loved not seeing ridiculous cleavage here. I really wish this movie had been greenlit 5 years ago. I just saw that bb Natasha was played by Milla Jovovich's daughter. She had me tearing up 8 minutes or so into the movie so I may have to follow her career. I see you, Val, building your Antimatter Avengers. Wonder who she'll snag next. Now I want a vest with many practical pockets.
  8. That would weirdly make sense to me. I'd like a short with AlliLoki, Goose, Old Lace, Whip Lash's parrot, and any other animal looking creatures I'm forgetting. And they just drink boxed wine and discuss their adventures.
  9. I'm down with Loki/Sylvie, but I'd really like her to be like, uhh, I'm good. Not interested. Loki needs to love himself before he can love others./therapy When those Chuck E Cheese looking muppets showed up, that confirmed there's a wizard behind the curtain. I don't think it's Gugu. Miss Minutes? Never trust an animated clock.
  10. I know there is a distinction between being forcibly removed and leaving of your own recognizance, but there's not much difference in my mind. How do you ever let it get so bad on a plane that you get asked to leave? Besides alcohol.
  11. I knew something was shady with the Timekeepers and the workers. I wonder if the taser thing doesn't kill people but resets them as workers. I wouldn't be surprised to see that first guy from the ticket line show up later as a worker bee.
  12. I have a smidge of free time right now so I just watched the scene with Kate and Jeanette. K: "In the morning, I called the cops." J: "The news said he died in a shootout." K: "They assumed that, I guess, because he died of a gunshot wound." Scene of Jeanette and Jamie hearing the gunshot. J asking "What was that?" twice. K: "I think I might have internalized that, too, after a while. My therapist says that can happen." Now, if they're trying to say small town cops in Texas are bad at their jobs, well, having spent my childhood through my late 20's in TX, um, yeah, I'd believe that.
  13. As soon as I saw Sasha Lane, I figured she'd be more than a one-off character. She's not well known but has been getting a lot of buzz the last few years. Of course, I could be wrong and we never see her again. I also recognized Kate Berlant at the Renaissance Faire and yes, she did resemble Agatha. I still think the TVA are shady, but I'm usually suspicious when one/few are the only people in the universe who can maintain order and must be unquestioned in the decisions made. Before all of this is over, I hope Mobius gets to ride a jet ski and Casey gets to see a fish.
  14. Oh yeah, I completely understand why Kate would have blocked out the shooting, just not why it was reported as a shoot out when the cops received a call from a long held kidnapping victim, find one gun on the floor, one bullet fired, and a dead guy in the basement and are like - shootout! But I can handwave it away. That is also odd. As was Martin being buried complete with headstone, though I can't remember if that was in or outside of Skyline.
  15. This wouldn't surprise me. It was incredibly manipulative to show the gun to Kate, imply he was going to kill her, maybe murder/suicide, then go the suicide option, bail on that, and then rage out. Maybe the cops came, maybe they didn't. The shootout reporting makes zero sense though. Did Kate say she called the police the next day after staying with the body all night? I suppose Kate's parent's could have covered it up, but it seems like it was an odd plot decision to keep who/what/why Annabelle was as a secret until the reveal. Overall, I was very happy that most everything made sense and the plot led us to the logical conclusion than some wild Dan is Gossip Girl twist at the end. Even the extremely chilling tag with Jeannette made sense to me based on what we've seen of her for 9 other episodes. I would have liked a bit more about Martin's past and the girl that was mentioned on the news that Kate freaked out about, but I'm not overly bothered by that. I think I want this to be the end of this story, and hope there's a new story for Season 2, though I'd be fine with the same cast in different roles or a completely new cast.
  16. Graduated in 94 and 3 of my high school teachers (all men, probably in their late 30's/early 40s) were married to former students. It was kinda weird but no one was alarmed by it. And my BFF at 14 was dating a 21/22 year old and we just thought it was cool cuz he had a car. Looking back - ooof we were naïve. My other BFF's husband told her he moved in with a woman in her 30s when he was 15 and no one questioned it, though he said he would be horrified if one of his kids did the same now. Unfortunately, I'm not surprised there are comments at other places on the internet blaming Kate even with the therapist's ongoing rebuttal and reframing. Misogyny and sexism runs deep and too many will grab onto anything they can to blame a victim for being a victim.
  17. I don't think a shootout has to be between the police, but to me, it implies there was exchanged gunfire versus a deadly shooting, which seems more like one person shooting another. But that's just my interpretation.
  18. I'm hopeful Kid Loki is introduced at some point, even if it's just a quick reference, so I can add them to the Young Avengers roster they seem to be building toward.
  19. Honestly, I feel bad for the MCU. When/if Mephisto shows up, he's going to have to be pretty fucking fabulous for all the theories that have been generated around him. Or he'll be introduced unceremoniously. Like oh yeah, that guy in the corner with Galactus is Mephisto. And then he dies. This was exposition heavy, but I was never bored. TH and OW have good chemistry, and I look forward to more of the other agent and the judge. And Eugene Cordero! I hope he gets to see a fish someday.
  20. My guess is Annabelle is a gun. Maybe even the one his father used. I haven't figured out why Kate blocked it, though, other than, well, trauma.
  21. I'm starting episode 3. Who knew dramatic Fear Factor would be this entertaining? Not sure what it is but the actors, characters, and plot question marks are all working well so far.

Was Cruella's mother's name Martha by chance? Just curious. If so, there's these two guys she should talk to.
  23. Threshold and Invasion pour one out for their homie.
  24. Nothing yet. Perhaps it will be explained in the next ep. The main thing I have learned from this show is to immediately change all my locks if I buy a house. Martin is a garbage person who deserves to rot in hell, but damn is it creepy to see Jeanette just pop in to his place whenever she feels like it. I'm still intrigued by Jeannette even though I can't say I like her. She does care about Vincent, and I concur that being gay in the 90's in a small Texas town would have been difficult. I don't remember much of my high school graduation in '94, but the one thing I will never forget is several people yelling the F word when Jason (who eventually came out) crossed the stage. I can't imagine what a terrible feeling that was for him, and I was in a suburb of Fort Worth.
  25. I can't remember if it was Kate or Jeanette but at the fair, one of them was wearing a pair of Steve Madden black low platform slides, and I immediately regretted getting rid of mine recently when I moved because those were the best shoes.
