  1. They've slowed down the scene and Lizard looks like he's getting punched but there's no one there. Or is there? 😁
  2. I do not know the accuracy of this, but per an IGN article: "Update: Sony Pictures has suggested that the trailer will drop at 5:30pm Pacific / 8:30pm Eastern today (that's 1:30am UK / 12:30pm AEDT tomorrow)."
  3. Below is a compilation of Angie spoiling the movie left and right interviews. But she's so excited, I can't help but love it. Never pair her with Tom Holland. This also made my heart happy. This is from Brian Tyree Henry: "I remember the first time that they were like, "So… we want you to be a superhero.' I was like, 'Cool. How much weight do I have to lose?'" Henry said. "Chloé was like, 'What are you talking about? We want you exactly as you are,'" Henry continued, adding how much that moment meant to him. "To be a black man, to have someone look at you and say, 'We want you exactly the way you are,' is unlike anything that I've ever felt."
  4. Yeah, I'm not sure where Eternals fits in in the timeline. After the unsnappening, of course, but before Wandavision? Or the next Spidey? I'm just hoping, at some point, someone mentions the ginormous red robot that showed up in the atmosphere one day then disappeared. You know a new religion/cult/both was born that day. I know it was a cheesy but when Ikaris couldn't kill Sersi, which was foretold when Ajak??? or whichever character said that when you love something, you'll do anything to protect it, I melted and said awwww in my head.
  5. I think using Druig to mind control Tiamut could only have been a temporary solution. Well, I am making that assumption without knowing how long Druig could maintain control. He did mention wanting to control all of humanity so maybe he could do it longterm. I just remember that as soon as Mantis was disrupted, Ego woke up. I can imagine Druig doing this, 5 minutes later Arishem pops up in the clouds and the earth gets 'splody. I really hope Arishem's visit is referenced in another show or movie. Can you imagine the therapy bills in this universe?
  6. Makkari wailing on Ikaris was one of my favorite scenes. The way her speed was shown and the power in her hits was well done. Kingo bailing on the final fight was such a great breaking of the trope. I was reading on Reddit that it's a great character moment because he said he agrees with Ikaris but loves his family and won't fight against them, and then he kept his word. There was some interesting discussion on Reddit about how this family had different personalities, and while they differed, they'd been through so much over the thousands of years, they could forgive Sprite for being stabby and Kingo for dipping out. I also truly believed Ikaris just couldn't kill Sersi. While the romance between the two could have been better or had more chemistry, Madden sold that moment. As I think about the movie, I'm seeing more flaws but at the same time, I'm also finding more moments I liked.
  7. I enjoyed it. I connected with the characters and rolled with it. I'm sure it helped that I am familiar with and like all the actors except for the actress who played Sprite and she held her own. Not gonna lie, I could stare at Angelina and Gemma for hours like a creeper, and I'm glad Richard spoke in his actual voice. I think the biggest criticism I agree with is there's not enough time for so many characters. Give me an entire story of Makkari and Druig flirting it up. And it made me feel so full at the beginning to see actors from Pakistan and Korea, and a Deaf actress be heroes with super powers. It really does mean something and I want more diversity until it's commonplace and the norm. Also, I know people clowned on Feige for the sunset comment but there really were some gorgeous shots.
  8. Even Druig's emoji is not impressed.
  9. I noticed, in addition to the repeat scene this season of Rebecca dropping a truth bomb on Ted, last season Roy touched the Believe sign in a meaningful way in the finale, and this finale it was the whole team. Who will it be next?
  10. I gasped when that was shown. Last year, I printed out my own tiny Believe sign to have when I get stressed out. I really loved this season as much as the first. Yes, I have criticisms, but overall, the show still makes me smile, LOL, and want to be a better person, which I desperately need in my entertainment. I'm glad Sam is bringing some Nigeria to where he lives, which will likely enrich the entire area. I'm not terribly worried about Keeley and Roy. Even I was surprised at 6 weeks away, even with Wi-Fi. But I'm glad Jamie and Roy are on good terms. And look at Jamie's growth! Oh Nate. I have to give props to Nick Mohammed. He was great at making me dislike him. That misplaced anger and hurt will destroy him if he doesn't get help. I think it further pissed him off that Ted didn't rail at him. I think that's what he wanted to justify his feelings. Even after the confrontation, when he was pouting like a little bitch sitting on the sidelines, Ted popped over and acknowledged him in a positive way. I do want Ted to get angry, he needs to feel and express that emotion. As someone who tries to remain neutral and positive and would quickly dismiss myself any time I got angry as to avoid confrontation, the one time I got angry and stayed angry was a revelation. It's a necessary emotion for a reason, in moderation of course. Can't wait for next season. Football is life!
  11. Not 100% sure I'm remembering right, but I believe the plan was to send the ferry away to trap people on the island. Then once everyone was turned they were going to go to the mainland to 'spread the gospel'. That's why the heroes burned all the boats cept for the ones the kids took out. I don't think either camp really thought their plans through lol.
  12. I'm hoping there's a story reason for the old people makeup because it is obvious. But I like the atmosphere.
  13. I really, really want a "Bro" scene and the HawkGuy scene. I need it!
  14. Awww I like Jamie and his headband. 😄 If he gets his own thread maybe Jamie Tartt: Do do do do do do or something with the Toy Soldier. Honestly, with the whole show, there are so many good quotes and references, it'll all be good!
  15. That scene also ended with Wanda hearing Tommy and Billy's voices begging for their mom to help them. They're definitely coming back.
  16. I loved it and it's definitely one of my top origin stories. My mom, who never really notices anything in movies, kept talking about how great Tony Leung was. I didn't know I needed an MCU hero riding Falcor in my life but here we are. And I would also like one of those Vulpix looking things. It looked fluffy. BRB signing up for BlipSync.
  17. My guess is they just asked and some (make that a lot) said yes, and some passed. Last week I was surprised that Josh Brolin did VO and this week it was Michael Douglas. I doubt they're making bank on likely a day of studio time, and some probably could have recorded from home if they had a good set up. I don't fault the actors who chose not to reprise their characters, but I do appreciate the ones who did. I'm taking each episode as completely different universes.
  18. I really liked it. More so because of what's been lost with Chadwick's passing, but I also liked how different is was to the OG GOTG. It was great to hear so many familiar voices - honestly, I didn't expect Josh Brolin to be game for this, not sure why. And I liked that he still believed it was a decent plan and kept telling people about it. I think my fave part, though, is I'm guessing that the creatives wrote this story of T'Challa inspiring everyone in the universe, even the Mad Titan himself, without knowing what would happen with Chadwick. But he knew, and he gave us one last gift.
  19. I wonder how serious SJ's team took the $50 million number. I just saw it as a ballpark to always go high and then settle for less.
  20. I'm going to hold off on judging the potentially out of character/bad writing until I see where the Nate and Jamie storylines go. I kinda think both actions are deliberate. Those looks Ted and Beard give each other whenever Nate goes a bit power mad aren't there by accident. Just like I think Ted springing Jamie on the team wasn't an accident either. Every time, especially in the first season I thought the show was going to fall into a trope I'd seen 100 times, it always took a swerve. And if I'm wrong, c'est la vie. Maybe it's a reminder that Ted isn't infallible. He can have bad judgment calls, too.
  21. I'll take the unpopular opinion that I'm glad Jamie's back. He's an utter ass, but I think he's exactly what's needed to shake the team up. And he needs Ted to show him what a supportive male figure can be as his dad's utter shite. I also hope there's some focus on the players dynamic and it looks like Sam is going to grow into a good leader. And to be a good leader, sometimes you have to work with/manage assholes, so I hope that's explored.
  22. Apparently, now Emma Stone may be mulling suing and agent Bryan Lourd issued a statement. And apparently Kevin Feige is also upset with how this was all handled. Drahmah!
  23. I have no idea if this is true, but I read elsewhere that SJ specifically put that clause in her contract because there was concern of using BW to push their streaming service. Not sure if the timing works out with when the contract was negotiated and how much was known about Disney+ at the time. Didn't this basically happen when WB said they were putting their entire slate on HBO Max? I definitely remember the director of Dune being upset and Legendary trying to block the simultaneous release and Denzel Washington was pissed, too. I totally understand the creators and production companies getting upset that contracts were likely breached, and I also understand the dilemma of releasing during a pandemic, but you'd think they'd settle quietly. What I do now is every contract being drawn up in probably every industry is going to include a pandemic/Act of God clause. Wimbledon was ahead of its time. They included an infectious disease clause after the SARS outbreak in their insurance years ago and got a $141 million payout when they had to cancel in 2020.
  24. Yep, and I believe he said something like he felt he wasn't being listened to and only told what he had done wrong. I hope Ted can realize that a good therapist can be really helpful, and I liked that he was able to realize his bias from his personal experience but still allow the therapist to help the team.
  25. I noticed that, too, that as the series progresses, Patty's hair has gotten less early 90's. I'm fine with offing Kevin, but did I miss Allison ever contemplating just leaving or divorce? Based on Kevin's behavior, I completely understand that she may think he would never let her go or just continue to ruin her life outside of marriage, but I'm curious why any other options weren't explored.
