  1. Why do you think that? They ended this episode in a good place. It might be that mid-season stretch where he alternated between whiny little bitch and creepy stalker. My mom was a nurse, and her hospital always made sure they paid just a little better than the other hospitals' unions. Seemed to work to keep them content. It is for some, for sure. George Carlin -- classic. Indeed. Shaun "hesitates" every time he goes into his mind palace. So, Andrews and Villanueva have no chance as a couple if they don't agree to keep their work and personal lives separate. This is already a very complicated relationship, and it could go very bad very quickly.
  2. Ha me too. If I still had a cat I would have startled her. The frame/beams maybe? Walls are easy to replace but the frame would be more work. So far all evidence points to Jay being quite skilled and creative. I would bet he could garner a strong enough reputation. It would help cut the boredom during all that eternity. I keep hearing that Indians get annoyed with us saying "Chai tea", since it's a redundancy. Chai is a tea-based beverage. Chai can't mean anything else.
  3. In Canada (IT) we always have a lot of different cultures working together, and a lot of different accents, people mumbling or talking fast. I have turned on transcription services but it can be wildly inaccurate. Basically if you don't have the accompanying recording you're screwed for a lot of it.
  4. Why don't I recall her trying to break up Isaac and Nigel? Did she? I suspect that they're both doing it more for Isaac right now. A true detente, possibly even friendship, may come later, once they each get over their jealousy of the other's relationship with him. There's enough Isaac to go around! Not to mention swingers.
  5. That's the way I interpreted it, that the waitress' painted fingernails triggered the memory. I don't have any streaming services, but does Hulu have a setting to automatically play the next episode? Maybe if you have that enabled, there's something in the logic that jumps ahead? If so you could try turning it off to see what happens.
  6. Once Dan convinced Neville that in a real family, money is community property, my first thought was "yup, now the Conners are going to ruin Neville just like they ruined Ben." And not just financially either, look how Ben's personality has changed since getting involved with Darlene. He didn't used to be a fatalistic slob. He was clever and sophisticated (for a small town), a writer and business man. Now he spouts the same stereotypical "white trash" attitude as the rest of them. Good luck, Neville.
  7. I do wish we'd seen more of the portal weapon that playing tag in space. It was pretty cool, could have done a lot with that. But it was just a McGuffin.
  8. The patriarchy in a nutshell lol. I suspect it's just analogous. I think she mentioned 25 as the age that a human's brain reaches some level of maturity, after which the Borg DNA would no longer influence/change the brain. That level of maturity would be different in other species, 50 in Vulcans, 3 months old in Ocampans, whatever. So I think she was referring less to age and more to that stage of brain development. Especially since, why should a Klingon, even one raised with humans, be fluent in human sexual terminology? (He's barely had Klingon sex, as far as we know). He's clearly using the primary dictionary definition of the word (Oxford: "a group of three people"). Why, though? She's under 25 Most humans under 25 who've gone through a transporter are infected. I don't recall anything in the show that it was restricted to starship transporters But even if it was, her parents are Starfleet, are you going to tell me they never once brought their kids onto a Starfleet vessel to see where Mommy and Daddy work? And even if they didn't, surely Deanna beamed on/off one at some point during her pregnancy, and no one suggested that unborn fetuses would be safe from this thing
  9. Besides, they still need his retainer money, what with all the prisoners who Perry will be representing.
  10. But did she even tell Will what was going on with the guy's girlfriend and daughter, and the conversation she had with him on the bench? I can't recall, but if she didn't, then the only thing Will knows is that Angie says she killed her abuser in self defense. That was adorable. And I'd be shocked if he's the killer, since we saw someone trying to kill him. I suspect that's the foundation of his trauma. Not telling him was a terrible choice.
  11. And there was SO MUCH BETTY in this episode! Will even brought her to the orphanage (for some reason I may have missed).
  12. Or maybe he actually is Will's father. Man that could mess you up, after a lifetime of feeling abandoned and not good enough, to find out your mom was a prostitute and your dad a serial killer.
  13. So much of what I watch is on HBO. I'm sad what Discovery is doing to it. They've almost destroyed their own channels with paranormal BS, and now I'm seeing Hallmark movies sneaking onto HBO and that's terrible.
  14. Huh I thought we'd see the typical cliche of the innocent brother taking the rap because the guilty brother has a bright future outside of prison. You got me, show.
  15. Wouldn't he have to break back in to get Fuchs?
  16. Clouds are just things in the sky. I imagine we'll never find out exactly how that happened. And of course, she'll want it 5 minutes too late. That finger getting blown off was really well done.
  17. I'm not convinced that this version of the Enterprise is Starfleet's flagship.
  18. Isn't it Russell? Hard to say this about someone with so much trauma, but right now Hank is getting the respect he deserves.
  19. Presumably the Academy's purpose is to help people meet Starfleet entrance requirements. If she can do that without attending the Academy, which I'm sure she could, then why not? Could you pass the bar and become a lawyer without ever attending law school? Perry Mason did, apparently lol OMG you're right, they're going to call it ST: Legacy but really it will be ST: The CW.
  20. BTW has Jimbo had significant plastic surgery, or am I being tricked by the makeup?
