S01.E11: All Bets are Off
luckyroll3 replied to TexasGal's topic in The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City
Why'd she let someone do that to her nose??? She was beautiful. I don't think she needed anything done, but she could have just done her lips and left it at that. -
I'm so angry. After all that hope generated last week of Raf actually being valued as a character on this show, we get this shit! Glad Raf got his family back for eternity though. But still, what a fucking waste.

S01.E12: Sinners in the City

Damn, I thought Mary was the crazy one, but Jen....I see you girl! -
Those bastards in the writers room would totally do this! I can already see it....

Except Theresa's "receipts" were the cameras. Which would be fine if this was a reunion, but totally ineffective while currently on the show because we all know the producers ain't pulling out tape in the middle of an argument to prove anyone right when they could just save it for the actual airing where they can edit it to suit their needs. So were her receipts real? Absolutely! But just like everything else Theresa's done the past couple of episode, a total fail on the execution.

S01.E12: Sinners in the City

Exactly! The "hypnotist" was a better counselor than every therapist ever to appear on a Housewives show. Bravo needs to book her for all the other cities too. -
I totally thought Jay had that. They were neck and neck for most of the first leg, and right at the end of it, Leroy pulled ahead. And then he fucking took off! It was amazing. But kudos to both of them for doing all of that in under a minute. I would still be hanging there. Despite being a fan of Leroy, a small part of me was hoping he'd lose to Jay. I'm so tired of all the entitlement from so many of them. Me when TJ announces that the guys who DQ'd wouldn't have their votes counted: Me when I realized that it meant absolutely nothing for the outcome of the vote: Next time save a twist like that for when it's gonna have maximum impact, Teej! Jay the entire episode to Theresa: Jay just figured out way too late that none of this was going to end positively for him.

Two Sentence Horror Stories - General Discussion

This, especially with the brother saying to his partner that the sister always replaces one addiction for another. If turning to religion makes you feel bad about yourself because you feel judged, turning to something that makes you feel good all while giving you the illusion that you have your addiction under control makes sense for someone trying to find a way out from that addiction. -
If I could stab "Watermelon Sugar" multiple times, I would.

It is definitely a personal choice when folks prefer walking around with hairy caterpillars on their eyelids.

I've thought about them. When they're done well, and not at the snuffaluffagus lengths, they look really nice. But the initial install is pretty pricey and only lasts a couple of weeks, then you need to keep up with regular maintenance for the fill-ins, which is also pricey. I'm too cheap for all that! I am, however, trying out the magnetic lashes. I like them and am surprised at how light they are and how secure the hold is. But even their "everyday" lashes seem so dramatic to me. And am I no good with liquid liners so the application is usually a big ole mess and takes me much longer than it should.

S13.E07: The Jet Set and the Upset

It was 32DDD. I only remember because I'm as flat as they come, so I'm often shocked when reminded that even the smaller band lengths come in double and triple cup sizes. Wow, Drew was channeling her inner Sheree tonight. I guess since this is only her second time hanging out with the women all season, she felt she had to bring some spice. I was wondering why Kenya was coming for her so hard, cause up until this point, I don't even think Drew registered in Kenya's brain other than someone LaToya makes fun of. I mean it was small, but big enough for petty ass Kenya to put a target on her back. I hope she's ready. Tanya didn't do anything nearly as messy and she wasn't ready for that cookie lady grenade Kenya threw right into her lap. And here's Ralph trying to make us forget he doesn't regularly mentally abuse his wife all the time. -
Who knew that Nene's hairspiration came from Jenn Lindley! (Currently doing a Dawson's Creek rewatch.) Who wore it best?

That's where I thought this was going too! Glad to be wrong and hopefully this is a sign that they'll be treating Raf a little better as a part of the ensemble.

Aaron was a senior, and everyone else juniors, last season. I'm never quite sure how the timeline of this show goes since Freeform always does the split seasons thing. I think this is their spring semester, but I'm not sure. Aaron got a job as the dean's assistant and part of that is if he continues to work there after graduating, he'll be able to get his masters for free, or something like that.

All I have to say is that Raf was working those jeans in the scene where he killed the green knight. More of that please! And more Raf-centered storylines (although I won't hold my breath on that one). I also would have really enjoyed Landon as the Ghost Wingman; sort of like a CW take on Casper.

This was a great strategic play by Jay and Theresa, but they failed majorly on the execution. They both needed to shut the fuck up and stop with the campaigning and promises to everyone. You can't blindside anyone if you're discussing your plans with everyone! All they were doing was digging themselves into a deeper and deeper hole with everyone. It was just dumb. Totally agree that Ashley wouldn't have hesitated throwing Theresa in. Ashley wasn't even in the house a full 12 hours before she started bad mouthing her. But all of a sudden she's up Theresa's ass and how dare Theresa make a move on her. Oh please! They all were so quick to admit that Theresa wasn't in their alliance and that she needed to go, yet they all expected her to have some loyalty to them. Hypocrites indeed. I said the same thing. Kam didn't volunteer or beg to go in. She had no intention of going down. Now she's some sort of inspiration for Leroy. <insert eyeroll> I generally don't mind her, but this Killa Kam shit has gone straight to her head.

"Check my charges, bitch!" is something that pops into my head every single time any of the ladies have a conflict with Marlo...

I really wish Dawson would stay the hell out of grown folks' business. Gawd!

Two Sentence Horror Stories - General Discussion
luckyroll3 replied to AnimeMania's topic in Two Sentence Horror Stories
I liked both stories, but didn't feel like the second did a great job of capturing the intent of the two sentences it was based on, which I think would have been a more sinister take. -
They kinda breezed through that part of the show. Binary code uses a ones and zeros organized in particular ways to represent different numbers/letters. Basically like the dots and dashes in morse code. I'm not sure if theirs was actually "binary code", cause I can never remember how to assign the values, or just using zeros and ones to be appear binary code-like. Devin had to memorize the 4 sets of 1s and 0s that each corresponded to a particular number between 0 and 9, I think, decode that at his first stop, and then enter that final number at his second stop. Honestly, it was pretty impressive that he was able to do it in one shot; I'm good at memorizing things when they're all different, but all those ones and zeros would have tripped me up.
