You expect TP to concern himself with basic, practical details.....that leave plot holes the size of a jumbo jet? 2) After the Jim/Celine copulation, I thought we'd get...the old Jim turned his back on her routine, and she grabs a statuette and hits him on the head routine. I wonder if Celine doesn't try to commit a crime of passion and kill Jim...OR......IF (like THIS has never happened before).....if the wrong person doesn't just HAPPEN TO BE in the wrong place and the wrong time.....and gets killed or shot, instead of the intended victims. It could easy happen.....the killers go to shot Veronica...and get Jeffery -- or DAVID, instead. Because of course. Veronica will go see David, or call her for him to come to the house.....and he'll get hit protecting her.....Hell, he'll probably JUMP IN FRONT OF the bullets. Hell, for all we know Jim himself will get shot by accident....since he doesn't know -- exactly -- where or when the hits are happening. It's the professor rapist (he's likely first -- because who cares about him anyway)......the cop in the jail......Veronica.....and was it someone else too, right? And of course since Ronnie's to be last, that will be the cliffhanger.... 3) Sooooo, uh, the hospital has all those cops in the waiting room? Why aren't they at THE BOY'S ROOM. I don't think ANY hospital. I've ever been to has actual patient rooms on the first floor...it's reception, the lobby, the ER, exam rooms the cafeteria, and a few other offices But hell remember when Candace was able to walk from that waiting room and down the hall to a frigging OPERATING ROOM! How the hell did she even know where to go to. What's she do walk the entire hospital and get into and actually operating suite? Oh...that was in an earlier season when there was NO security even though she was cursing people out and jumping bad with nurses.....TP's hospital scenes are a sore point with me. Sooooowhat page did Quincy tear out of the the Social Worker's file.....Candace's new fancy address??? 4) So Kathryn is working out -- OUTSIDE in the sun -- in a LONG SLEEVE, FITTED jogging outfit in SAVANNAH? OK, yeah right? 5) Wait what has been said FOR SURE....it was 270K A YEAR, right....payments to Celine?

I saw the show, but am still gathering my thoughts. I'm stunned...but by what and why, I don't even know. I have know idea why I seem to need time to process what I've just seen.:)

Here in the Washington DC area we're fortunate enough to have a choice of three PBS stations, at least one of which also has addition channels, and one of those is and all British (and Australian) channel called WETA-UK. We did have WETA-Create, but they dumped Create for the UK line up, (and we have WETA-Kids. In addition to two other PBS channels. Anyway, I hated when they got rid of Create. But I have to admit that three YEARS later the UK channel has won me over. The ONLY thing I hate is that I'm discovering all these shows that are new to me --then I look them up and find out many are DECADES old. I saw David Soul -- yes, of Starsky and Hutch fame -- in an episode of "Dalziel & Pascoe" (who knew Soul moved to London 20 years ago, AND became a British citizen in 2004?).....anyway I looked up the episode and it's 11 YEARS old. I DO like many of the shows I'm discovering. But some have been canceled for years.

I've only caught a few clips of the promo for this coming week's show. I can't figure out WHAT the hell might happen. I can see that Maggie goes to see Veronica......can't wait to hear why Maggie even goes especially ALONE. But anyway..... I wonder if Veronica kills Maggie. And Maggie is the one to go...... What I'd LIKE to see is SOMEONE kick Veronica's ass. I mean beat her down like Bennie beat Quincy...but I doubt that will happen.

I haven't seen the most recent episode, but did see the "Celine interview" episode. WHY did she even do the interview? She didn't say anything, her oldest son did all the talking. And then later we find out she was getting money? 1) No one can MAKE you do a sit down interview in you own house? Why didn't she just NOT DO IT? IF her son wanted to do it...let him. But she and the younger boy didn't HAVE to do it. 2) The reporter made such a big deal of her being in a not so safe, or rough part of the city. I forget the exact wording. But yet a gain. They say that's where she lives. Yet, we find out she's been getting 270K a year. Where the hell did that money go? The kids didn't need special care....she wore a frigging uniform to work....why the hell was she living THERE? As I say I don't really watch the show that completely.......As for Wyatt being left in jail, if Jim put him in jail. how Veronica even knew Wyatt was in there to a sex offender could even be put in the cell with him? As for the WTH questions and things that happen, are we so stupid to believe this moments? I don't even know that I get that worked up about them anymore. I'm so beaten down I'm desensitized to most of them.:)

TP should be paying US 270K a year to watch this crap. I haven't seen this week's show yet......

I saw part of the pis show, and loved it. I like a lot of PBS food specials, and watch a lot of PBS in general.

So is Food Network all competition shows or all Guy Fieri or Bobby Flay. I guess so. I don't know whether Guy and Bobby are growing on me or not. I guess it really is all about the format of the show you put them in. Bobby: "Beat Bobby Flay" -- is OK, I guess. Although I am tired of him...to a certain extent. How many shows can the man tape? I guess he's NEVER in HIS OWN restaurant kitchens anymore. He is a paradox for me because just as I might be liking him as a person a little more...I'm also getting sick of seeing him. Its like an OD of Flay -- AND the competition format. First Iron Chef, then Throwdown, then Chopped, Food Network Star, The Food Truck Race....and I don't even know what the premise of Cut Throat Kitchen is. Of course they're not all BF shows, but as for a show format. I'm over it. As for Guy Fieri...another one who I can't figure out if he's an a$$hole or not. All the not-so-nice things written about him can't be lies. Love Diners Drive In and Dives, and his Grocery Games is "OK"......I hate him when he just cooks. Maybe because IMO he sucks at it. Have you read the not so raving reviews about his restaurants?

^^ I know. When you look at what CNN used to be, used to show, cover and provide....it really is quite amazing how it's 'flailing' today. BUT...then again, AMC, TLC, A&E, aren't the same. Does MTV do ANY music any more? And another stark example....for heaven's sake look at what BRAVO has become....from fine arts and film .......to the Real Housewives?

I will say this.......He's not one of my favorites, when it comes to what I've seen and heard his personality

"Beat Bobby Flay" -- for some reason he's growing on me. MAYbe he's not as much of a pr!ick and as conceited as people used to say he was...I don't know.... But while I'm liking him more and more -- I'm SICK and tired of seeing him on damned near every other show on Food Network. So while this show is OK.....the fact that it features Bobby Flay -- AND is a take off of Iron Chef AND Throwdown w/ Bobby Flay....doesn't help endear me. I'm just feeling OD'd on Bobby and the competition format. Everything is a competition with Food Network...and I'm just over it.

Given that the last people he called to get a job done were "the Malones" -- granny and her two brutes ..... I can't wait to see who he called to get THIS -- or should I say THESE jobs done. With TP writing for all these Keystone Kops -- I have no doubt that the person who dies, may not even be any one of the INTENDED targets. Whatever.....I don't even care. Not commenting on -- because I don't even know what to say about: -- the Celine / Jim interview (and maggie pouring a drink into the equipment (really?), -- the Oscar money transfer and his declaration of love, -- the social worker/foster care case worker's questions, -- Hannah being DUMB enough to buy Benny's dumb-ass explanation for how he got the house, -- Jim's chocking of Veronica and David's threat to Jim, -- or EVEN BETTER -- Quincy's sister who is Iago the his Othello (YES indeed......TP and Shakepeare in the same reference:)) Where would one even begin to comment??:):)

Given that: 1) I watch this show JUST to hate it...and 2) I see every little thing as a BAD plot device....and 3) the acting, writing and everything about it is so bad that I can never forget any of these things and just get into the storyline... ...I can honestly say I DON'T CARE who is killed off. Because no matter who it is....that won't change anything about numbers 1,2, and 3 above.

Yes. That's how old we are (thank goodness)......that "Matlock" is a recent show to us. I'm there right with you though. I remember when TV Land and other 'classic TV" channels first started airing shows from the 70's andI was like, "That's not a classic TV show....it's too new!" ADD to that the subjective nature of the definition of "classic"....because in my mind "Knight Rider" isn't it! Then like us all, I guess, I did the math on how many years ago that was......And I realized, yeah I guess Happy Days and Barney Miller...and even shows from the 80's and 90's...are that old now...Heck 1995 was TWENTY years ago! I love black and white 50's and early 60s TV...and marvel that those shows are 60 years old! And yes: same thoughts about the Classic movie channels.

1) I hate to say it, but for all her talk...other than hitting Candace and jumping on Celine....I haven't seen this big bad Katherine that she keeps projecting to be. Am I missing something that she's actually pulled off? She's been all talk as far as I can see. What happened to that divorce she was talking about? when she said she didn't care anymore after Amanda died. But she's standing right there. 2) Apparently she didn't whup Celine -- cause Celine's on TV with Jim's two kids. She hasn't destroyed Candace -- because Candace just bought two houses (so it looks) Unless I missed it so far the professor was only beaten up in a parking lot. (But I suppose that was only yesterday in TP time right?) RONNIE is the one who was smiling when Celine came on...why would Ronnie be out to destroy him to that extent. What's she care? So David can be top of the ticket? 3) Also Jim's outburst in the jail.....uh, for future reference,,,taking down the camera doesn't destroy what's already been recorded or won't necessarily stop audio recording. 4) HOW do these people have all this time to get SOOO much done in one day. What .....are they traveling by Star Trek transporter? 5) We still dont' know the deal with Oscar.....so we'll see what's up with that I guess.

Zilla, Zilla, Zilla you've made my day! :):) Reps! What was in the file Ronnie gave David that he slammed on the desk??? oooh....pictures of HER OWN sex with Benny, perhaps? DAMN! The gotcha at Jim's interview I don't even care anymore. 1) the interview studio looked so cheap....and it's taking place IN a studio, TP's studio. 2) Maggie's "stop the interview" -- uh, not convincing. 3) Jim even DOING the interview and not making sure Celine was scuttled away before hand....I have no words. 4) The look on each person's face as they 'wondered" where the interview was headed....ugh. I have to admit I laughed when Wyatt told Jeffrey to come to the back of the house because be didn't want people to see him...did he actually say anyone "on the block?" if those weren't the words, it was something to that effect. Given the exterior shots we've seen on the house and the grounds who the hell was going to see Jeff anyway? What "block" are they one that he would be seen. HANNAH is the only one there...we've never seen or heard of a gardener, or other staff have we. So who the hell is he so afraid of that would see Jeff come over. Lord knows no one else who's driven up to the house as been seen before hand. This show continues to disappoint.

I can't believe CNN can't find SOMEone to CONSISTENTLY anchor that 9p.m. hour like Larry King used to do. Is there NO one who can do that? Even a set team of consistently rotating hosts. (Please G-d NOT a panel of hosts. we get enough of that with The Chew. The Talk, The View. Heck, there was some show with four or five women on it on some channel I saw on a TV in some waiting room I was in....that I'd never heard of or seen before. I think it's syndicated on Fox network. Of COURSE there was the black person, the hispanic, the white person (brunette) and a young white blond chic, I think..... SO Im NOT talking about those kinds of shows for CNN.) But to have news one night, and a CNN special the next....it's just inconsistent. One night it's a docu-series on the t60s or the 70s....either last night or the night before it as some dumb special on firgging Morton Downey Junior...... WHO CARES! I know he launched the craziness of argumentative TV" and changed the civility on talks shows and almost single handedly was the reason the format exploded like it did....but do we really need a documentary on it? on CNN on a primetime weeknight? CNN: Get a 9p.m. show that can ANCHOR your lineup. Find another "Larry King" who can do serious news -- AND celebrities, and human interest. Some might say the hey-day for that show doing well at 9p is gone. I disagree. They just need the right HOST(ess). How about Soledad Obrien. Anderson, I take it, doesn't want to do it. I loved Don Lemon but I've SORT OF pulled back from suggesting him. If you can't find ONE person...like I said ....go to the a different host each weeknight. Anderson on Monday, Don on Tuesday, someone else on Wed. and so on...and they can interview a celeb (like Larry did) -- OR if the night they're on there's a news story they can do that -- just as Larry did interviews on the news of the day as well. And I didn't even LIKE Larry King as an interviewer -- I use him and Anderson and Soledad as examples of people who can do light features -- and HARD news interviews. That's all. (Larry actually sucked at it. But at least he fooled most viewers)

HGTV fans -- or I should say -- DESIGN SHOW fans who remember previous years now long gone by when HGTV had good design shows and remember Candace Olsen of "Devine Design" (and her other shows)......ION LIFE is now airing "Divine Design." ETA: Well ION LIFE is supposed to be airing Divine Design....but I couldn't find it on the schedule for the days I searched. Promos are airing the the ION LIFE had a post on July 12 saying the shows were "now airing"....so I don't know what the deal is.

I LOVE me some Ice T and Coco. You'd never know she's SIX months pregnant. Her baby is SMALL! The baby must be OK, so I guess I should say her BELLY is small.

Aaaaah, my PBS station is airing the Sister Wendy art critiques. I've always marveled at the nun with the bucked-toothed overbite. So soft spoken, yet so passionate -- and she was talking about sex and naked bodies...albeit on artistic masterpieces. When I was younger, of course, I didn't "get" her. She as just a strange bird. I even look up her bio. She really did have quite a life. Now, I can watch her with much more appreciation.

OK, on your say-so, I'll give Katherine "lanai.":):):) But the rest of this show....ugh, please.....I'm really having a hard time right now with what Jim did to Wyatt. that's just criminal and inhumane. It's the sort of how can a parent do that to a child story we sadly see too much of in real life. Just mind-boggling about man's inhumanity to man...and parent to child, my God....

1) David calling in favors and getting Maggie to play secretary...uh, no. That's a WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE in on a cover up and doing a favor for David. -- Look at all the people at the law firm who will wonder who Candace is and what she's doing there. Then again we don't even know if she plans to WORK -- the whole job could be a ghost employee kind of thing where they just pay her, but she doens't work there. -- Just because she doesn't work there doesn't mean at some later date she won't want the firm to do some dirty work for her....now you have OTHERS, by all rights, who should wonder -- who the hell is SHE? ((But then again TP does ignore the obvious....Veronica getting Quincy out, and no one has STILL noticed that or done anything about it...Jim being able to put Wyatt in jail, etc. All these things take TOO MANY PEOPLE to pull off1) Anyway.... 2) I didn't watch the whole show so I take it the cops came and quincy wasn't there.....Did I miss something? Is that DAVID's truck or another truck Benny got. Because the vehicle is REGISTERED right? SO when the police goto the registered owner is David going to say it was stolen?.....without even knowing anything about what really happened? Aren't Benny and Quincy's fingerprints on the truck? Police have he phone call from Benny as Quincy does that just get dropped because "Oh well he must have been OK because he's not here now?" Come on TP...stop it. 3) Did Katherine say the “she would be on the “lanai.” Uh, who in the South says the word “lanai?” Porch, back patio, deck – yes? “Lanai?” I’m not so sure even rich folks say that..... 4) The dialogue between Oscar and Candace is so phony – people don’t talk like that with each other. It’s not conversational AT ALL. I’m watching and thinking, “WHO talks like that? And the answer is , of course, -- no one. He’s so in live with her he’ll wait.... 5) Benny/Quincy fight and truck ax....uh, OK 6) Jim leaving Wyatt in jail yet he loves his kids – I have no words. I just don’t know what to say about that. And doesn't Katherine KNOW where is yet? And it takes her until next week to go get him. My G-d what kind of people are these? (to paraphrase a line from a movie I can't recall) 6) David still being David and blind regarding Veronica...I’m shaking my head. 7) From the promos it looks like Hannah's grandson is hurt, or gets hurt or has a cold or whatever, cause she talks him to the hospital. Now, IF he's bruised.....we now what SHOULD happen next don't we? Did I she her talk about them taking the boy away. Well, dumb as you live in the hood and you don't know CPS looks into $#!t like that?

I'll just wait for others to comment, since I really dont' know what to say.....about this week's episode, other than "alack and alas, I continue to be utterly exasperated." :)

^^ Yes. some of us have said before that he might have brain damage which altered his emotional controls. After he came home there were some slight hints at this: -- he'd laugh in a childish way -- ask Hannah a question almost like a child -- he'd get angry at her, even have an out burst or two (I mean yelling like crazy) (none of which -- OF COURSE -- did Hannah notice)) So we don't know if it's a plot thing or just bad writing or acting. But at the time, a couple of us definitely wondered "what's wrong with Benny."
