  1. Of course they were going back to 10000 BC as a family. I’m not sure if I missed something but why would Gavin’s father design something that has security attached to it that only he and his young son could activate? Maybe that’s why Silas took Isaiah away? A few episodes ago when Riley and Josh were planning to go through the Hollywood sign sinkhole but needed to sneak past security - now the only security seemed to be the bad guys sent by Gavin’s father. I guess the 1988 LA police lost interest, lol. So this is it until the end of January - coming attractions indicate Josh didn’t make it to 10000 BC with the rest. Oh noes what happened? Maybe there was a wolf in the sinkhole at the same time that took a big bite out of him, 🤣🤣🤣
  2. @Lethallyfab IIRC she was standing too close to the portal to 1988 when it started to close out in a big flash of light and got sucked in.
  3. Yes he should have but I guess they’re not deemed important enough. There’s Ty, Scott, Lucas, Veronica and Ella. We don’t really know the rest apart from the guy with the glasses. It appears Lucas may be a goner though. Maybe Silas went to tell them, lol. If he was able to get past that giant bird again 🤣
  4. Re: The loudmouth in the camp introducing himself to the group talking about how all the “capable” people have left, nice way of introducing yourself to a group of people who you probably want to lead with your stupid ideas. Maybe there’s a Nikki/Paulo (from Lost) episode here, lol I don’t get the instant new clear memory from the past either for Riley to send a message to her Dad. This idea worked far better and made more sense when it was done when Doc Brown sent Marty the letter from 1885 to 1955 in Back to the Future II. Like @KaveDweller already mentioned there must be some parallel universe stuff going on here. So they all go to 1988 and leave everyone else behind? How nice 😆
  5. About the village, since Silas was living there with Isaiah maybe he had some influence in its development? Yeah, there had to have been some integration or something that happened prior that resulted in what we see now. These people didn’t just develop on their own in 10,000 BC. I’m sure they won’t explore this though, just the now revealed that Paara has a husband who is part of the Exiles. For all the convoluted plot lines Lost had I enjoyed the show. I have the series on DVD and have been considering a rewatch lately. This show if it’s trying to mimic Lost is failing miserably given there were lots of people at the time noting the dropped story lines so the writers here could have taken that as something to consider when planning this show. It’s a mess.
  6. For anyone who’s interested the free National Geographic channel on YouTube has been showing the US episodes live over the past few days. They’re episodes that have already aired on cable. Something to maybe have on in the background.
  7. So was I. I really don’t want to watch another love triangle on this show. If you could call this thing with Paara that, I don’t know. I wish she’d just go away.
  8. Well, Scott’s vape pen finally ran out of juice and with Lucas’ help learned how to deal with his sudden loss 🤣 I don’t get how Isaiah in 1988 has no memory of life in 10,000 BC but Wolf Snack and Pre Med remember everything either. Any time I see Izzy wanting to do something that has a lot of risk attached (like going to the Exiles camp) then fall hard I think of her prosthetic leg and the possibility of it being damaged in a place where an effective repair would be challenging if not impossible. At this point I’m watching the show because it’s there. I don’t know how much longer I want to watch this junk. I can’t see it getting any better.
  9. Same here. I’m not subscribing to Disney+ for this even though I’ve been watching Doctor Who for years. I’d buy the DVDs but I know there won’t be any released. By the time November 2023 rolls around I’ll be over this like when it was announced a while back about The Orville moving from Fox to Hulu. I just won’t care about this show anymore.
  10. The segment in last night’s episode with the customs agent collecting duty (taxes) from the international travelers was a bit boring but I’ll never understand the people who say they have nothing to declare despite insisting they’ve traveled internationally before then when they are caught when their luggage is inspected and claim “they didn’t know” they owe duty tax. Like the people who came back with gold.
  11. I took it as an example of how the project could be a benefit and the Senator seemed to be on board after that. I’ve been wondering if there will be an episode sometime down the road where Ben is in a position to keep her brother from dying in the car crash then the challenge in the episode will be it’ll introduce another set of problems.
  12. An almost OK episode, even though I rolled my eyes again with the angsty Eve about Izzy and the relationship between Veronica and Ella. At least both seemed to be resolved by the end of the episode. One laugh out loud funny line, courtesy of Scott - when he was talking to Gavin to explain to him about going to see Aldrich he asked him about being familiar with the concept of time travel, Gavin responds “we’re in 10,000 BC. Well, duh! Then when the wolves were eating the bus to get inside and he said it must not taste that good. 😆😆😆. That vape pen still has enough juice for him but he’s excited about a field of marijuana. Maybe he and Lucas can set up a business with it, lol. So that mysterious building and the Exiles delivering the rocks to power the place - I wonder if they have any idea what the building is about - are some of them time travelers. To have that deal in place they’d have to get something out of it and I wonder what it is. I don’t believe Gavin, etc. will be able to get in there right away like the next episode, there’s going to be some kind of obstacle. Then in 1988, waving that cell phone around, I’d wonder how adept that Geology guy is with technology that letting him see the device then talk about all it does. We met Gavin’s mother so there’s probably a reunion coming, most likely in 10,000 BC when Silas will pop up again. It doesn’t make much sense to me that you’d want to get the family back together in 10,000 BC to go back to the present. If you’re standing in front of someone who can travel through time maybe try to get them to send you home.
  13. Maybe the type of film (I’m not referring to videotape) that the series was originally filmed on - from what I’ve read about old movies, some films, specifically ones filmed in color didn’t age so well. That might carry over to some TV shows. Edited to add: Just checked IMDB - The Rockford Files was filmed in 35mm, Walker Texas Ranger in 16mm, meaning a smaller negative and possible lower quality look on something like an HD TV. Just my opinion as an amateur photographer who shot in film before everything went digital.
  14. Glad to see there are others here who like this show! It’s must watch TV for me, especially the US based ones. They seem to be showing the foreign ones (Spain, Columbia, etc.) ones over and over. For anyone here who’s interested there’s a Canadian version on YouTube. Although it’s pretty certain how it’s going to end (or they wouldn’t show it) I like watching the segments where the authorities are on the trail of a drug smuggling ring - there were several episodes in the spring where they had caught some illegal activity going on at JFK that eventually led to an arrest of a smuggler coming from Curaçao. What does make me a bit nervous is the line of questioning some of these border agents use when one is entering the county, however I really don’t have anything to hide nor do I have plans to travel internationally.
  15. I think they did - or maybe it’s because on these types of shows (Stargate SG-1 comes to mind here) always seem to have the antagonist with evil intentions be a Senator threatening to shut the entire project down. About the other leaper - I don’t think it’s Sam either, given the number of leaps Ben has done so far (assuming we as the audience are seeing them all and there aren’t any we don’t see) how quickly did this other person pick up Ben is a leaper too. Having watched the original when it first aired I wish they’d spend more time on Ben’s leap than the dealings going on “back home/office”. The stories don’t seem to be as well fleshed out because we’re forced to watch this ongoing intrigue while watching a story that has to have a beginning/middle/end by the end of the episode.
  16. I think that’s the mysterious building that the Exiles are having their slaves mine the rocks for.
  17. When all the food was taken away and the group was going on and on with their oh noes, what will we do … someone said but Eve isn’t around to lead a hunt so something like that. Really what skills does she have that the others don’t have? They are the laziest “survivors” ever.
  18. Me too - I’m close to being done here. I’ll watch next week (there’s going to be a CGI wolf attack!) but given last night’s episode it was a confusing mess. Scott, etc. go into Paara’s camp to take back the food undetected and bring back enough for everyone to just “dig in”? Good for what’s his name for not killing the guy who murdered his mother - at least Veronica made some good points to him to not do it plus he seemed to grow a conscience when watching the guy with his family. I don’t understand why Scott would make up a story to explain what happened to Aldrich either. So Eve, Gavin and Levi escape from the Exiles and leave the other people behind - how long is it going to take for them to go back to get them or convince everyone else to help mount an attack. By the time this happens I’ll probably be done here so who cares. This all looks like someone threw spaghetti on the wall in the writers room then saw the garbage that stuck.
  19. @Prairie Rose I heard them say it was a finale and was wondering same thing. I’m not sure if I’d want to watch more of these types of stories even though I’ll admit I’m an ID channel junkie. If this is it for this show there’s Neighborhood Wars on A&E …
  20. I watched it for the 2nd time last night. Even though the mother lost her lawsuit I hope at least the police take threats like the one in this episode more seriously and at least ask if there are guns around, but then I’m wondering if that in their mind would be going past the response that it is a “civil issue”. Last nights episode - that guy was a real piece of work, and that’s saying a lot considering the types that are profiled on this show. At least someone had the presence of mind to record this guy walking around during the day or I wonder if they would have ever been able to prove he was the one setting the fires.
  21. About Levi/Eve/Gavin, they showed us scenes of what we were told last season, more time wasted on a rehash of something we already knew. Just tell us something new already. I’m bored by it too. I was waiting for Riley and Josh to tell the 80s Geologist guy they’re from the future, went down a sinkhole, etc. but I was disappointed. What could happen? He’s found a couple of people who believe his theories, it’s not like he’s going to have them committed for saying such crazy stuff while he’s pushing theories he says no one else is buying. I’ll probably stick with it for a while longer however I’m sure with how bad this show is enough people will give up and it’ll be cancelled before we get any meaningful explanations about what’s going on.
  22. He recognized Rebecca (and she recognized him) when she was working to get Isaiah to the light to get to 1988 so what you’re saying makes sense. Then there’s Silas’ comments to Gavin hinting his parents are still around, add that to the list of mysteries this show is presenting and the it’ll probably take forever before we know the answers about that.
  23. I wish that storyline with Veronica and Lily/Ella would just go away. They could use that time for the other stories.
  24. The show talked about Ron’s challenge in finding new subsidized housing and being lucky to find another place again so soon. Since LaRay probably had the same kind of arrangement with the same challenges I wonder if she’s still around anywhere since the show wasn’t able to find her….unless she was able to con someone into letter her move in with them and not be on the lease or whatever. I agree, she’s just as responsible for Ron’s murder as Lance is. Too bad they weren’t able to charge her with anything.
