  1. @Red Bridey Yes! That guy had wayyyyy too much time on his hands as well as an air of superiority.
  2. That guy Danny was wound too tight to say the least. 26 years or whatever it was living in that neighborhood didn’t give him the right to rule over everyone and follow his orders. He’s lucky that his neighbors were doing their home renovations during the DAY, I assume within reasonable hours. Of course that’s going to make noise, it’s not going to go on forever like someone playing their music loudly or running some car with a noisy engine. It’s sad it ended with a shooting however that’s how these situations usually end. Not surprised he tried to claim self defense. From the way the story was told it seems like Nick was trying to goad him into a fist fight. I wonder how Danny finds prison these days, it probably gets noisy there, how does he deal with that? He realizes now due to his age that he’s pretty much serving a life sentence. Maybe that should have gone into his thinking before he decided to pull the trigger. Oh well.
  3. Yes, plus who knows how long it took him to build his kingdom. Perhaps he didn’t want to do all that hard work again or would he be able to embed himself somewhere different with people who could help him. Thankfully he didn’t flee to the US.
  4. Yeah, the part about using social media. That’s right not everyone uses Twitter or Facebook, etc. (I don’t) Pretty lazy of the RCMP. The mention of Gabriel trying to buy up lots of the properties in his neighborhood didn’t sound like a good thing. Then he wanted to low ball the guy who was actually willing to sell to him, what a jerk. It was chilling that some random woman who was out for a walk was killed as part of his murder spree. Since it took place in a safe neighborhood that’s the last place you’d think you’d be going for a walk and putting your life in danger.
  5. I caught an airing on AMC recently - came in past the halfway point, around the time when Vincent shot that guy in the face while on the way to see Marcellus. It felt like they cut a scene so I did a full rewatch from my VHS copy (yes I still have a VCR, lol) and found AMC cut a few minutes from the shooting to when they’re at Jimmy’s house hearing him complain about how much trouble he’d be in if his wife found out. I don’t know if there’s any other cuts. Anyway, having recently watched the movie from start to finish for the first time in a number of years, yes I agree it deserves its status as an influential movie. What’s fun (for me) is the non linear way the stories are told, plus the characters are not exclusive to their own stories without confusing the viewer. I’ve tried to watch other Tarantino movies and I can’t get into them. There was a rumor floating around a while back that he’d direct a Star Trek movie - that would be something I’d love to watch.
  6. New episodes starting October 23.

    Charade (1963)

My 2nd favorite Cary Grant movie (North By Northwest being my #1 favorite) I wish they did another movie or two together. Loved the chemistry between them, especially during the last scene of the movie with the final reveal.
  8. I’ll believe it when I see it. if there’s a third go around I hope they bring in an all new group. These people really shouldn’t get another chance right away.
  9. I haven’t been watching because I’m tired of Jeff but I’ll join you in that statement … fingers crossed!
  10. Inmates don’t look too kindly on former cops who are incarcerated…very glad this racist a** is serving life. Not surprised about the reveal about his past, it was obvious from the start he’s a racist. It’s funny that the surveillance camera that HE installed is what did him in. He was probably the one who smeared the ranch dressing on his car windshield. What I don’t get is how a seemingly sweet woman could be married to this jerk.
  11. @edhopper The scene showed Bryson with a gun in a box, then he had an envelope addressed to Becky with a note instructing her not to open it until July 1 2024. We didn’t see what was in the envelope - it was likely telling her to be on the train to meet George & keep him safe (that scene we saw episodes earlier) Then he put the box in a locker.
  12. I think they were looking to use it to escape as it appeared unlikely at the time they were going to make it back to the plane. My impression was the Time Machine was destroyed except for the one on the plane so Sarah only has the ability to reset back to the checkpoint. At the beginning of the episode when the bullet disabled the Time Machine on the plane the damage looked a lot more serious than just replacing the hard drive. I was convinced they were all going to be stuck in 2012 instead of George popping the one from the lab in it. I’m glad we got the explanation how Bryson was hopping around pursuing George for several episodes. There’s a scene at the end during the credits that TNT shrank to show commercials - I’m going to do a rewatch on demand to see what that was about.
  13. That guy Cutter - what a piece of work. About the plans for those new houses, I don’t remember what they said the lot size was but it seemed like in the end it could have ruined the character of the neighborhood. With all the access he needed to get to the property in the end would he have had another access road built or would he have expected to have residents use the road that ran by Gary and Mary Ann’s house. We’ll never know. Given Cutter was a developer he was probably going to sell his home once this development was done. Here we see a jerk who thinks he can push a bunch of people around. Makes you wonder what he did with regard to other properties he developed. Certainly he always billed as a “benefit to everyone” while he makes the big bucks. I’ve learned through my life that people who may appear to be sweet and maybe a bit of a pushover can fight back pretty well if it goes too far. This guy likely didn’t think he was going to get shot. If I were in their position I wouldn’t have put up with his bullying either (who would?) but 11 shots and claim self defense? Gary deserved what he got.
  14. That would make sense, destroy the Time Machine in 2012 so it won’t exist in 2023/2024 to create the black hole messing things up. I guess it depends on how the show defines this stuff. If the show were to continue I wonder if they’d be going the route of alternate timelines as in after the work is destroyed in 2012 the 2024 team is still in 2012 or something like that. So I guess we saw the awful thing that George does causing Bryson to try to kill him in the train station in 2024.
  15. Dr. Samson, who was in Security while George and Sarah were trying to get Wes to go back to the checkpoint.
  16. Hope all continues to go well with the cleanup, @lu1535!
  17. I would love to hear the rationale behind the statement “I don’t think Alex got a fair trial” because from the way the story was presented I don’t think there was any doubt he’d go to prison for what he did. I get that he was the caretaker for his family and they miss him but I also wonder if there’s something else that wasn’t explained in last night's story. Oh, and that laptop that Alex had laying around in his “man cave”, I thought at the time maybe it’s not a good idea to leave it there since it could grow legs - which is what happened. I doubt Raul was the one who took it, why would he have taken it then leave it out in the open in his garage? If something is that important to you put it somewhere safe.
  18. That was Archie, and yeah, to be discussing that in a public place is pretty bad for someone in an organization like this one. Then the discussion Ross had with Shiv about the mission in last night’s episode. I was wondering during the episode that they spent in 2018 how the plane they came in on didn’t seem to be detected by anyone, especially since it crashed on the runway … yet last night in 2012 it set off alarms at Lazarus HQ to Shiv to investigate. So 2012 Shiv and Rebrov go in guns blazing to where the 2024 team is, then start wondering what the deal is later. I was waiting for Shiv to come face to face with George to shoot him since it was the other way around in 2023 so many times, lol. About Bryson being Wes’ son … I did not anticipate that. I was not expecting him to rescue George either. I am wondering what the deal is with him - he travels back in time to be Janet’s handler, dies in the fire, yet he’s at the Time Break facility when the Lazarus Project team is there in 2024 (a few episodes back) George starts pushing all those buttons for whatever reason. Perhaps Wes is so adamant about getting the Time Machine and all the work behind it destroyed because her son was damaged by it? There also has to be some prior relationship between Bryson and Robin, whether it is a father-son or father figure role IMO. He isn’t just some hired mercenary for lots of money to get Janet to 2012.
  19. 100% right. Had an upstairs neighbor who held a noisy birthday party about a month after moving in - I figured it wasn’t going to be going too late (it ended around 11pm, this was even on a Saturday night) so I didn’t complain. I decided to give her a pass, if it turned into a regular thing I’d complain. Never happened again. This neighbor turned out to be a pain in the a$$ for other reasons (she’s gone now) but wait until it’s a trend before complaining.
  20. During this episode I was again reminded of the saying “fences make good neighbors”. Maybe it’s because of the area I grew up in (a typical suburban neighborhood in a densely populated part of the state) but anyone letting their dog roam around the neighborhood freely all the time (esp pit bulls) is asking for trouble whether it’s related to the dog’s safety or the ire of the neighbors. Cats are different but I wouldn’t want one roaming around all the time for their safety as well. That cemetery near the houses was a bit odd. At the very least put some fencing around it. I thought there were laws or regulations around as far as how/where people can be buried. There’s this old cemetery about a mile from me that doesn’t seem to be that active anymore - a housing development was built nearby in the 90s and there’s a fence separating the properties. I really question the wisdom of the Sheriff who gave Wilson carte blanche to act as he thought he should against his neighbor. Then who knows if things would be different the Sheriff or other law enforcement came out to talk to Wilson instead. My guess would be no. People with PTSD should not be gun owners.
  21. I think it depends on what it is … go to Amazon and look at what’s being released on 4k for example, some are rereleases of movies from years ago.
  22. @NeenerNeenerSky has already cancelled the series. I’m certain in the remaining 3 episodes they won’t solve the problem here.
  23. It seems pretty far fetched that Dr Gray would accept Janet in to her group as quick as she did but whatever. I don’t remember the show ever explaining Janet’s credentials as far as what attracted the Lazarus to recruit her like they did with Shiv and Archie. Dr. Gray’s motivation for time travel is to save someone she knew from cancer - I wonder how important this person is and what the real loss is. Was this person kept from doing something important because they died? Then the ending where Janet solved the black hole problem, I guess it fixes things in the present yet we still see the team traveling back. I’ve been wondering what happened with the Chinese they were talking about at the end of last season, maybe the guy who used to work with Wes running the Lazarus Project got them involved. Who knows.
  24. I was wondering about them getting a lawyer involved to clarify the legality of what was going on plus possibly sending Belinda and her husband a letter explaining they have no legal grounds to be restarting the HOA. Any information about an HOA should be included in the real estate listing when the property is on the market for sale. Plus when you buy the home you’re likely paying your first months maintenance with the closing costs and possibly money toward the cash reserves (at least that’s what happened when I was closing on my property). So yeah by the time you’re settled in your new home you know you’re either in or not in an HOA.
  25. I live in a condo so a HOA is a necessity. It’s been mostly okay, except for one of the recent elections where one of the members running for re-election went ballot harvesting then turned all of them in after the deadline. He happened to be a long term homeowner & board member who was renting his unit out - during the meeting after the ballots were tallied and he lost his seat he expressed some of his views like he was entitled to the seat. (As in “I have to show new board members things” whatever that meant) He lost through arbitration and later sold his unit. Anyway about last night’s episode Belinda was a real piece of work. I think the show mentioned it only once, but each time the neighbors told her they weren’t paying the fees, I wonder if in real life they were reminding her about how they were already paying the town for these services. So this episode checked off some boxes for my bingo card (police calls, gunfire) but the barbecue was replaced by a group walk around the neighborhood. I don’t remember the other woman’s name but she really should have been more careful when talking about other peoples houses - I know she apologized but that kind of thing can get awkward quickly.
