  1. Same here. In a way I’m glad Kristina had no interest in participating as her contribution would have most likely have been just as cringeworthy. As for what she’s accused of doing there’s nothing that she could say to make me think what she did was okay. I plan to watch the show with Natalia’s response, I suspect for as little as we saw her speak in this one that we’ll get plenty of her being interviewed and very little (or none) of Michael except for recreations. He had his chance to speak so I think they’re done with him. Also, watching the scene where Natalia’s birth mother is interviewed remotely and they lose the connection - I hope she and her family are okay.
  2. Hopefully the upcoming show about Natalia’s response will explain more about that. There was so much they were telling us that these other people coming in all of a sudden got glossed over. From what I interpreted it looked like the woman saw her and took her in like she found a stray animal on the street. If I was seeing this child/little person with obvious issues wandering around alone all the time I’d be calling the police to find out if there was anything amiss. You don’t know what’s going on with people and for all anyone knows the woman could have been risking being charged with kidnapping a child.
  3. Neither could I. He thinks he won his court case. No, the jury thought you’re guilty but they couldn’t declare you guilty based on what they had to work with. I’m glad the jury forewoman was interviewed to explain that. Any interview they showed with Natalia indicates that when ID shows the follow up with her we’ll hopefully get some more rational explanation about parts of this story (like what happened at the creamery) and we’ll be spared the histrionics like what Michael displayed.
  4. At the very end they had a preview of Natalia’s response to all of this. The tease was for later this summer. Should be interesting.
  5. I’ve been watching. I can’t make up my mind who is actually a “good guy” here. The legal expert lady said “maybe there’s more than one bad guy here” and that’s close to how I’ve been thinking about this whole thing. It’s interesting how they’re making Kristina look bad and we haven’t seen her interviewed nor has there been any indication that they tried to get her side and failed (unless I missed something) - she’s a real piece of work but so is Michael. Watching last night’s episode about how they dumped Natalia in an apartment to force her to live on her own- that was cruel. The comments the neighbors made about her appearance and how she was behaving toward people in my mind demonstrated she wasn’t some adult trying to pass herself off as a little kid. Some of her behavior was pretty weird though. Then at the second apartment where that one neighborhood woman got Natalia to sign her benefits over to her from Michael - I’m not sure if that was a genuine attempt to help Natalia or she just saw her as a $500/month meal ticket. All of a sudden Michael’s concerned. I did some research and apparently this woman is still trying to establish legal guardianship. There’s so much more I could say but I can’t believe something like this was even really allowed to happen.
  6. Gary going over to pal around with Jeff - ugh. Waz is still sort of okay with me especially how he was trying to keep Gary from going too far off the deep end during that stick hardening challenge but he may be next in my book. If Matt has to leave because of that deep cut that might be it for me. I guess it’ll depend on how much they’ll dedicate to the others we really haven’t seen too much of yet.
  7. If memory serves, the only land based animal Jeff has ever killed was a snake and that might have been with Eva’s help. Then they overcooked it. And yes, I think he’d use anything as currency in the way he’s playing this game and that includes food. He strikes me as someone who would be okay if everyone else starved and quit due to exhaustion or whatever, similar to what happened to Wes in last night’s episode.
  8. So that line by Jeff about sharing Impala if he had that bow and arrow he tried to trade with Matt for … sounding more like a dig at Matt than trying to actually be nice and share. He could have stayed out of the area when Matt was out there trying to get an Impala. I think Matt has more of a chance getting one than Jeff anyway. If only Stacey could have just tapped a day earlier. I was wondering if she was severely dehydrated. They said her vitals were ok. Who knows. As this version is progressing I’m starting to lose interest. I’m not sure how much more I’m going to watch. Not really enjoying the “Survivor” vibes I’m getting with this iteration. At least we don’t have some on screen Jeff Probst person interviewing them about what they’re doing.
  9. I remember that. Wasn’t his defense something like “I thought they (CBS/Production company) paid it”? He served time in prison for that plus he had some other problems with the law …
  10. All of this for $100k which after taxes isn’t a lot of money that could take you very far at least where I live (NJ). Maybe buy yourself a new car and have some left over for something else like insurance. Who knows Jeff might be looking to do that and that’s why he wants to win so badly. 😆😆😆
  11. It might be since she hasn’t done Naked and Afraid as much as most of the rest that might be perceived as having weaker skills (not true in my book). She gets nothing if she taps. Maybe she should remind people of that. She has some great skills regarding finding that saw that she emphatically said is hers now. Maybe she could maneuver Jeff into an “oops” moment that forces him to med tap, 😆
  12. Loved Steven’s line, “are you threatening me with a good time” when Matt asked him for help with getting those snakes. They make a great team. How could Stacey not know how everyone else despises Jeff with the way people are treating him? I guess I missed something. I do like how both Waz and Gary planted the idea to her about how much power she holds over Jeff. With the way he’s been treating her especially he deserves to be pushed out. What a clueless jerk. During that nighttime scene where she couldn’t sleep and he’s snoring away I would have loved for her to just say, I’m done I want to leave now so they’d have to wake him up to leave, lol.
  13. Jeff should just go on Survivor already. If he really tosses or takes the pot he should be disqualified. He says this after he kneels to pray. What a hypocrite. He thinks he’s so much better than everyone else there but he’s not. I laughed when he and Stacy ended up being last with that challenge. They thought they’d be first to get everything again but they were dead last, ha ha. If this was the Amazing Race he would have been eliminated, lol.
  14. I doubt “pinky width” is a cartographer’s term. IMO anyone who has taken the time to read the legend in any road map will find the scale and know how to figure out the distance between spots. I haven’t noticed if the N&A maps include a scale but you don’t have to have gone to school to learn this stuff, just knowing how to read a map is helpful. Given all of the people involved here has read one of the N&A maps before they should be able to figure it out. Jeff thinks he is so smart, I don’t think he’s any smarter than anyone else there.
  15. I hate Jeff. I don’t say that about many people on TV either. My opinion of Waz skyrocketed when he told Jeff he wasn’t interested in a trade. Too bad about both Gwen and Amber. I’m hoping that somehow Matt and Wes find each other soon and team up. What’s interesting is when (I hope) Matt gets his hands on the bows and arrows will he use the spare for anything, I hope not with Jeff. It’s funny that they paired Waz with Gary given what happened in last year’s XL. Waz already knows about Gary’s wreckless behavior. 🤣
  16. Re: last night’s episode with Joe and Candice, thankfully it was only an hour. Another over confident person who ended up quitting after a few days over pretty much nothing - hasn’t Candice ever seen the show? Hunting takes patience. Joe had to have been one of the nicest people I’ve ever seen on this show - how could he have made it almost the entire time without eating anything. Interesting there wasn’t that last minute food find right before extraction. I thought it was funny how he was yelling for Cheetos (or whatever) at the end - I was hoping that production had some food waiting for him after his ride back!
  17. Jeff again. Ugh. At least there are some people there I’ll be happy to watch, even if it’s for the umpteenth time. The article mentions how Amber is the only woman on the show to complete the 60 day XL - no, she was the only one to finish last season, Riley was the first the prior season making Amber the 2nd woman to finish.
  18. The glasses on the top of the nose thing - Ian’s always wearing glasses, right? So in the future their eyes don’t need glasses as much, lol? I liked the “Turtle Time” message Jenn sent Ben to convince everyone he’s from the future. One thing I found confusing was he didn’t seem to leap into anyone in the future - so how could Ian see him, especially when Ziggy is destroyed? He said months ago he’s not involved but I was wondering the same thing. It would make for an interesting storyline, or one where Ben runs into him on a leap. I generally enjoyed the episode and am glad we got the resolution of the “Leaper X” storyline. Knowing the show’s been renewed I (and I think everyone else here) knew Ben wasn’t going to walk out of the chamber at the end… now that he’s still leaping I guess the mystery is going to be figuring out why, besides the there are still people out there who need help.
  19. I enjoyed it too. It was nice to watch 2 people actually get along well for the 21 days. They did catch a break by finding a good place to shelter without having to build much.
  20. Re: last night’s episode - at first I thought watching 2 hours with 3 people surviving was going to be better than last week, but after Dallas tapped 3 days in, it was painful to watch. Sean seems like a really nice guy but I don’t think he was really made for this challenge, especially when the wild animal was showing interest in their shelter in the dark. This type of stuff has happened other times in the show and while it’s happening you don’t know how it’s going to turn out but I wonder if he took that in to account before doing the show. On the other hand Heather IMO started out ok then she starts belittling Sean for what he’s doing, as in only boiling water, etc. Then she complains about the food he brought her. I’m not sure if I’d be happy seeing her again … maybe they’d pair her with Trish the do nothing, then maybe I’d watch 😆 The solo episode was far more interesting to watch - I was pretty sure Cheeny wasn’t going to tap and I’m glad I was right. All it took was some more work on her shelter. We didn’t see Jamie or Fernando this time but we saw both James and Shanika for the first time and with both it seems like we got truncated versions of their challenges - I guess it was all “I can’t find food” type of stuff and no real drama because they were both saying how they haven’t eaten in days.
  21. @ForumLou it’s Terra and I agree that was a dumb decision. I was thinking “just take it and pretend you didn’t” as in ignore it until it may be needed. Other than that I’m enjoying watching the solo episodes much more than the regular Naked and Afraid. Cheeny is a rock star but they left us thinking she’s going to tap next time because of the cold. I really wonder about that since that’s how they ended the episode. I’m rooting for Jamie to make the 21 days since he got a bad deal last time in the XL. Looking forward to seeing Shanika and James in their challenges.
  22. I agree. This was in the (I think) last season - usually when shows do this it’s to get people to watch the new show. Voyager was established by then. They might have done this to give the main cast a break. Then Barclay names his cat Neelix, after the most annoying character on the show. I think she’s been on Star Trek:Picard as well. I haven’t watched it so I don’t know if her appearance makes sense story wise. I love Voyager as well.
  23. Re: last night’s episode in the Kalahari Desert, boy was that woman annoying. Her survival skills don’t include having ever killed anything so that put pressure on her partner. There didn’t seem to be anywhere to fish since they were in the desert so who knows if she would have been ok fishing. I didn’t like how wishy washy she was over tapping or not (well, if it rains I want to leave), while he was ready to leave it’s like a minute later she’s going to stay, but he’s still going to leave and she’s ticked off. For the last half hour I had to mute the audio since I was tired of hearing her whining. If Naked and Afraid Alone wasn’t on afterwards I would have changed the channel. It’s a miracle she made it to day 21.
  24. While I get Rochelle’s frustration over the FBIs slow movement through this case did she really think going to the Sarasota police was going to accomplish anything? Especially when you’re dealing with a Federal agency?
  25. I enjoyed the episode overall and was happy to see at least 3 out of the 4 made it the 21 days. I think Danny (I’m sure that was his name) was the only one to be forced out due to the weather - he was determined to make it to the end before hypothermia set in during his original challenge. Anyway, late in the challenge after Andrew left, Danny takes his bow and arrow to go hunting - he makes a shot then cut to break. When the show returns they show him making his shot, it looks like he hit the animal yet it looks like it got away. Danny did find a dead animal but I’m wondering if he was the one who made the kill or were there 2 of them there. Did anyone else notice this?
