  1. Nice to see some Lupo/Bernard love! I think they were actually my favorites, although Briscoe/Logan and Briscoe/Green ARE L&O for me.
  2. I loved the entire "backwards" episode. My favorite scene is when Elaine is drunk in Jerry's room, and tells Jerry that she told George Jerry slept with Nina. "He schnapped me!" JLD's delivery on that line is golden.
  3. I was hoping Cary was being devious, if only so he would have an actual story. All he does is hold Alicia's purse. I wonder if Matt Czuchry ever gets his script and thinks, "why the heck are they keeping me on contract if this is all they're going to give me to do?" They've used him so little lately he might as well be off shooting a movie.
  4. Another episode with minimal Cary. WTF?
  5. What a fun topic! I run to pretty much anything by Green Day. Also most of Depeche Mode's Violator album.
  6. @Rhondinella, I think they had the sexy fun times earlier in the day, which is when the dead girl got the rope marks that turned out to prove she was the dominant. Later, she, Sweeney, and Laura Benanti met up with Alicia at the party. Then at some point, when Alicia was busy with Sweeney/looking for Sweeney, Benanti killed the dead girl and hung her from the chandelier. What I didn't get was why Alicia was so sure she was within Sweeney's sight at all times, when we specifically saw her being unable to find him when she needed him to modify the expense reports. I could understand being at a party, thinking someone was always there, even though they weren't. But we saw her looking for him, thinking she had found him, realizing it was a different guy. I thought sure it was going to come back to be a plot point that she wasn't sure at all, but she kept swearing she was always in sight of him. Huh?
  7. I remember that scene! It was so awesome, because nobody ever gets a plate number on teevee.
  8. "Like a VIRGIN"?!???! Bahahahaaha! The Burke stuff kinda bored me until that last scene. But then, I've only seen a handful of his original episodes. Leah: "I've heard some residencies clean house and fire an entire class." Me: "We should be so lucky."
  9. I really liked Rebecca Loebe. She should have gone much farther in the competition, IMO. I think in Season 1 the coaches were still thinking about the battles in terms of "who impressed me most on this song" and not "who is the strongest competitor going forward". That battle between Dia and Serabee was god-awful. I still remember how frankly pissed Blake seemed at the end of that. He (and Reba) practically apologized to Dia afterward.
  10. I really like Luke Bryan's voice, and some of his music, but he can seem like an aging country frat boy at times. He's the bro-iest of bro country. He does have a lot of personality, though, he's camera-friendly, and he's good friends with Blake, so he might do it. But then again, he might be really similar to Blake, for those who are tired of Blake. Jennifer Nettles might do it, as she and Kristian Bush both do quite a bit of solo stuff outside of Sugarland.
  11. This literally made me laugh out loud. My office-mate is looking at me like I'm crazy. "Overwhelming stupidity" is the new "yada yada". "I took Vicky's brother for a car ride, there was some overwhelming stupidity, and we don't see him anymore." "Kelly moved to town and befriended Vick and me, we were overwhelmingly stupid, and now Victoria doesn't want anything to do with either of us."
  12. Thanks for sharing your insights! I've never known anyone with BPD, but I'm very close to someone with a panic disorder, and you are exactly right about the meds. They made my person feel a bit "off", especially at first, but it was much better than the alternative! A question for you (or others): it seemed to me they focused almost entirely on her manic episodes, and skimmed over the depression half. Did you get that sense as well?
  13. It depends if you mean in the American sense or the British sense. ;-) It's the last episode of series/season 6, but there will be a series/season 7. That will be the end, according to Martin Clunes.
  14. Especially when she's being a sick twisted bitch! I'm enjoying Matthew Goode, but when did this become the Finn Polmar hour? Considering that Alicia just lost the supposed love of her life, I can't believe they're already pushing a romantic angle in the next preview. And Owen saying she needs to get laid? Tacky.
  15. I agree that's her motivation, and I totally respect that. For all that right now their kids spend plenty of time in the magical daycare, when they go home at night, it's just them and the kids. Admittedly, I've never known any nannies, but I do know a couple of live-in grandmas who essentially act as nannies. It can be hard sometimes to keep that line drawn that during the day, grandma is in charge, but at night, the parents are. Especially with the little ones - if grandma is their primary caregiver, that's often who they want if she's there. But maybe it would be different with a hired employee.Making no systems here about SAH parenting versus nannies versus daycare, but I do think they're different. They were so quick to warm to the idea of Amelia moving in (which was stupid because, hello, she just told you she's getting married, and she doesn't live in Seattle). I thought maybe a lightbulb was going to come on and they would realize that in-home help was am option. Even if they don't want to have a nanny, they could hire a housekeeper, or even just a maid to come in a few days a week.
  16. I loved the times when Marie actually gave Debra good advice, like the episode with the giant fork and spoon. That one had me rolling because my mom actually has a set of those in her kitchen. To this day, when two of my family members Iare arguing and it's not going anywhere, someone always says, "guys, don't let a suitcase full of cheese be your big fork and spoon."
